Any have any funny moments to share where you completely shit the bed in a campaign, and made things go from bad to worse.
I got one recent.Our party had confronted a den of Yuan Ti in their lair and were off to a good start after we sniped their leader, before he could fight back. We were fighting against an Abomination and a Anathema. My character had picked up a strange vial of liquid earlier labelled #93. Knowing its nothing good and not safe to consume, threw it at them and splashed onto both monsters. We were whittling them down their health to about half way by this point. Instead of the potion doing any kind of damage, it caused both creatures to start convulsing and mutate. Growing bigger, sprout extra heads and tentacles, and gain full health back.
>>97800738I built up to a big bad over several sessions, and then I introduced them. They tore through their own units to get at the party showing no care nor consideration for their own allies. After he proned half the party I had a much bigger threat swoop in and one hit kill the big bad. They were upset about the total party wipe, but they talked about how scary the encounter was for several weeks.
