I was pretty hype to see some new blood breathe life into the franchise, but only Alex & Whitney have been worth anything so far.>Brennan is an awful GM>Robbie & Luis are boring as fuck, surprising as Robbie was amazing in campaign 3.>Aabria is just the dirt worstAlso a shout out to some of the old cast for their awful shit. Taliesin who plays yet another creepy edge boy and Ashley who seemed to play a stoic and mysterious woman in the first couple of episodes only to completely stop playing like that as they went on.
>>97803003Thanks for the review.
>>97803003>Brennan is an awful GMI'm surprised more people haven't noticed this. Outside of /tg/ that is. The guy has a few gimmicks that he's been using over and over for years now, and most of his shining moments were on his heavily scripted and edited, on top of already being extremely railroad-y so Brennan can get to his next wacky NPC who talks like all of his other NPCs and says something stupid and then says some pseudo-intellectual plebbitor shit.
>>97804242He's a guy who had one skit I liked.https://youtu.be/k5oL4QKb6Sk?si=1tH_cO8wuiSq5rXMI thought he did a great job in this.In hindsight, it's probably just how bad the other actors were. And, years later, it hasn't aged all that well.
>>97804333That's the whole thing, though: He's a performer. Give him a script and a camera and the ability to retake lines until it's funny enough, and he seems pretty good. Put him on a livestream where he has to tard wrangle a bunch of e-celebs and can't ask the guy behind the camera if they can do a few more takes, and he suddenly doesn't look like the expert DM he's been pretending to be for years.
>>97803003Is the guy in the middle back any good in it? I watched a bit of their vtm game a while back and he was the best part of that by a mileAlso damn Marisha lookin thick
>>97804242Brendan is decent at being a ham for the camera and has a platform palatable version of the “blame old people” leftism that’s popular amongst people who want to live in cities they can’t afford (which is a big audience, especially in the theater kid to tabletop pipeline). I find him entertaining enough at the remove of observing, but would hate to play his game.
>>97810363He's pretty good. He's the GM in Project Ghostlight's VtM campaign and is unique I feel. He's really physical, frequently getting up and leans over players, whispering in their ear to simulate their beast
>>97810573Is he any better than Jason Carl from VtM LA By Night?
>>97810573he seems like the type to start rubbing someone's shoulders without asking
>>97810573>>97813965He's an actor specialized in monsters as his day job, so it's not surprising he gets more physical with his GM style.
14 people... Waaay too many
>14 peopleHoly shit. No matter who is involved this could never be good.
>>97813930Don't feel so personally. But I think he is unique and makes it so different from games hosted by Jason>>97810573>>97813965>>97813968yeah. I think its rare where he just sits. He's almost always walking around.
>>97815761So it's not that he's better or worse; he just has his own style, and the stage they play on lets him play to strengths not often featured in actual play games.
>>97803003>decide to check this out after not bothering with campaigns 2 or 3>immediately starts off with a cry wank sessionYeesh
>>97803003wait they're at campaign 4???Didn't 3 just start?
>>97815840Exactly. The setting is so different >Alex is standing behind a podium? >players are sitting in comfy chairs with their stuff on small tables next to them>large open space which allows for movement
