We fought Black knight for the first time (added into a core game because the hand was boring). The map just so happend to be set up in suckling a way that one throw would send us through a hot wheels race track of statues and we had no clue how important understanding was for the bells. At least his defeat consequence isn't that bad.

The build guides are all on the website and they are pretty shit, not actually showing you where some stuff goes and sometimes just outright wrong. But the minis themselves all have incredible detail and look fantastic painted up. The box comes with a ton of survivor minis to mix and match also.

From what I understand, and heard from the discord rules section (yes its alot of troons but the rules channel is solid with the creators popping in to clarify), I understood deflect as: You only get as many deflect tokens as the highest number from deflect X. Example

Get one deflect token

You get 2 tokens.
I think it was a way to stop people from just having 9 squares of deflect and being functionally invincible. Its the same with block (beacon shield vs others)

Oh absolutely. Its baisically a free extra dodge that can turn a 21,000 damage attack into 0 damage. Anything that gives block/dodge/deflect is great. Beacon shield (2 block a turn) + extra sense (extra dodge) can just down most attacks. I think monsters usually average around 3-5 hits so you can essentially stop most as a tank with a little luck.

I have 1.6 and GCE, what is your guys preferences/the order of getting Red Witch, Pariah, Frogdog and Black Knight? Or should I prioritize the cardboard box monsters like Flower Knight and Dung Beetle? I plan on getting them all with time but I'm unsure on the order I should attempt to go in

I launched one of the smoke puffs across the room trying to grab it with tweezers, and ended up having to pin the remaining ones to the nipples. Yes I had to drill out nipple holes. They're pretty easy to make with greenstuff thankfully

I think Percival has ringlets in her hair, except for the Pillar model/art card which is also the most attractive version of percival.
People of the Sun sucks, Pinup looks good but has awful posing.
Sci-Fi Percival looks good on the model. but not on the art card, deathmas model has bad hair etc.

I honestly feel bad for people who got the preacher wanderer. No matter how good of a painter it is, the glasses did not translate well on the model. They look like horrible googles on an otherwise very nice model.

So there's basically no reason not to replace Phoenix once you've got Dragon King or Sunstalker right? I've tried a few campaigns with him swapped bsck in with the 1.6 improvements to his gear but it's still just so rough a hunt for how replaceable the gear is. SS meanwhile has some of the best overall gear in the game (at least pre GC, haven't played new expansions yet) and even though DK's weapons are mostly dog shit his armor is really good and he's a good iron farm for blacksmith. Worst of all, both their showdowns are way more fun than Phoenix. Is it just obsolete as a quarry?

There's a human hand parasite that infects shit (parasites queen is a future expansion). The lions are from another long gone and corrupted race. The rest of the hand motifs are kind of a metaphor for the players own hands coming down to move peices.

Excited to play again. Painted up some of the monsters and got the booze/ ingredients for dinner. Need some new music though. The darktode ost and mechanicus ost are getting old, but fining good horror style techno is tough.
