>>97814312The Sabbat softening their stances in order to become more open to outsiders would also make them easier for the Antediluvians to manipulate. The situation that they're in can only be described as a real bitch, and while they could theoretically make better decisions as a sect, a lot of the ones that seem obvious are also liable to fuck them over instead.Mind you, the entire Sabbat is a ploy by the Eldest in order to spread his essence around like AIDS via vaulderie so that he can consume the world, but that's beside the point. The House always wins, as is tradition.
>>97814825>The Sabbat softening their stances in order to become more open to outsiders would also make them easier for the Antediluvians to manipulate.True. If I were to asspull a stance for them to be had it's to remain an insular Noddist organization and very stingy with membership. It would behoove them to leak Noddism into the Anarch movement, which is absolutely prime material for indoctrination into the Jyhad, and play off their sect's previous actions as those misguided elders being overzealous. Really hit that evangelist playbook hard. Then, once baited them into vinculum, the hooks are in and actual membership follows. It's just the Mass of Caine. No big deal, right? Haha...>The House always wins, as is tradition.Man, the fact the Cathedral of Flesh just got up out of the tri-state area and flew away would scare the piss out of me if I were an in-lore scholar and knew about it.
>>97814612Who's who in that picture?
I know this is a stupid question, even as I ask it, for any number of reasons, not least of which is that oWoD wasn't really designed to be a crossover, but even if all of the shapechangers weren't retarded (e.g. no impergium, no war of rage), could they even actually win? I'm just not sure they could do it, and you'd still have mages and vampires running around. I'm not sure what the shape changers can do against an ante, or if the mages got their shit together and the technos decided to put the boot on furry neck. Are Modern Nights shape shifters somehow lessened from the old days? Not just in terms of lost knowledge, but just generally in terms of individual power? Like, say, would a pre-Impergium werewolf be pound for pound a more powerful werewolf than a Modern Nights one?
>people actually believe werewolves are straight and not begrudgingly procreating for Gaia while keeping a lover on the sideThat Ahroun wrestling in the moot? Totally trying to get in some other Ahroun's pants
>>97814859Again, the obvious decisions are often liable to fuck them over. Any Elder or Methuselah (or Ante, but this is well below their paygrade) worth their salt is going to intentionally adulterate/ taint/ pervert those Noddist teachings in order to spread dissent and discord in the ranks. Now instead of the Sabbat being able to hold the "truth" over the heads of potential recruits to drag them in, their potential recruits will instead look at them like a gaggle of retarded heretics and vice versa.Imagine if the Sunni muslims went to new lands, and instead of finding heathens worshipping an alien religion that they could forcefully convert, they found Yazidis and Zionists living there. It's going to be a bad time for every party involved.
>>97815042>sabbat rolls into Denver thinking it's going to bootstrap a Noddist cult>start plying Anarchs with Noddist lore>some nutcase Lasombra got here first>they're already fervent Blood Gnostics screeching about the Third Caineit could happen to you
>>97815010>Even if all the shapechangers weren't retardedThere'd be way more and it'd be a lot more difficult for them to lose, in addition to the lack of retardation making them actually not fight humans instead of educating them, and then them not killing the guys keeping the wyrm in check preventing the snowball effect that caused humans to get too OP (Weaver and Wyrm assistance). It's not to say the question is>could they even actually winIt's more like>would things even progress to a situation the fera would need to win instead of just maintain the current situationMages largely used to not care about the whole progress of civilization until the technocracy, and Vampires largely are pretty much anti-wyrm/weaver in practice despite pinging as one of those. I expect with fera assistance the technocracy would never get their foot off the ground to begin with. For your third question, not really? Hard to say, because people back in the day for WoD were just kind of built different but mechanically they wouldn't be any more powerful than right now. Modern werewolves are bitchmade because of circumstance and stagnation of culture rather than because of any weakening or "lost knowledge" since they can just ask super elder grandpa Snaps-Hydra-Necks for what was the situation. Assuming they know of him or have his grave or something, some septs keep old records still iirc
>>97815051>Mr. President, a Third Caine has hit the LA area Jokes aside, I think I Mandela'd myself into imaging there was an edit of this image with George Bush in the VtM style just like there was one of Morrowind
>>97815068>Prince Vannevar, a second Anarch Revolt has killed Don SebastianChecks out.
>>97814537>Set and Haqim were possibly not directly involved in the massacre of the 2nd Gen and thus not subject to Caine's curse. >>97814567>The Ventrue also claim their Antediluvian didn't take part in the slaughter of the 2nd genHoly shit I bet you leeches think Tzimisce and Saulot were innocent in that too. Imagine buying elder propaganda for even a second of your eternal unlife
>>97815120>Tzimisce and Saulot were innocent in that tooInnocent? Of the 2nd Gen slaughter perhaps. He was up in the Carpathian mountains by then. Tzimisce damned himself by choice with his nasty little pact with Kupala. I'm not super sure about Saulot, but he may have created the Baali and that's fucked. Either way, neither of those things are particularly related to the Jyhad and of limited relevance to the modern Sabbat especially considering Saulot and the Salubri have long since passed into obscurity.
>>97815120Brother my post was literally calling the Setites and Assamites bullshitters for claiming that their Ante was a dindu. I brought up the Ventrue as another example of that ludicrous claim.
>Setites be like
>>97815222>
>>97815154In the scheme of things the Tzimisce Antediluvian is technically on the Sabbat's hitlist not just because he's 3rd Gen, but because he's a Diabolist and definitely does not give two shits about his clan outside of the fact he can bodyjack most of them. I guess that's the irony of the fiends: They'd hate and despise their progenitor but can do fuck-all to actually oppose him.
>>97815364is he still in new york? currently prepping to run revised NY by night set in 2001 and there's been some pretty big stuff about him being there
>>97815402Beckett's Jyhad Diary says he left at some point, but it's a lore dump of a world where the Final Nights never happened. I can only presume that means it was at least 2004 or later.
Anyone have some text scans of some of the older books like Sorcerer Revised? The mega has a lot of just image scans which are awful for finding specific sections in
>>97815364Don't the Sabbat think the Tzimisce antediluvian is dead? Along with Lasombra
>>97815610Probably. Only a small list of kindred and revenants would know and he probably ate them.
>>97814722Have you checked the dedicated changeling thread?
>>97815120actually yes the salubri and saulot himself claim to not be cursed by caine despite you know "don't drink blood that isn't willingly given too you" does not sound like a clan weakness a innocent would have. And some tzimisce claim that the eldest was in india when caine did the whole clan curse thing and had to rush back home to get some transilvanian soil and that he just made it home in time to be even more confused because suddently there was a giant floodi kinda want to believe the part with the eldest just because of how funny it is
>>97815605most books have a text and a image scan version in mega 2. most of the time the text scan is labeled oed, but the revised sorcerer is an exception you are looking for "WW4254 Sorcerer Revised"
>>97815610yeah it's part of the reason why the lasombra and tzimisce rule the sect, but even in revised people began to figure out that this wasn't true because of how much it fucked over the ravnos when their founder died and some surviving salubri also saying that they went through something similairand suddently lambach doesn't sound like a idiot
>>97814612>PlayedMaybe not the MOST over the top, but my mind immediately jumps to Gasparo. Gasparo was a Malkavian friar, convinced that his delusions were direct visions and messages from God. This wouldn't be too unusual, but we happened to playing the Fountains of Bright Crimson campaign, so Gasparo and Brother Bernardis immediately synced their autism to be twice as insufferable. Add in a sprinkle of our party Brujah believing them both without question, and Gasparo really had no reason NOT to believe that God chose him. He was also fun to play because, though his other disciplines were decent, he had purchased the Additional Discipline merit for Presence and was much better at it than any of his in-clans. Every fight, Gasparo would just throw himself at the feet of some enemy, crying and praying for their soul while he blasted them with Presence. Usually, this was a decent strategy.>EncounteredWe've had a lot of possible examples, but it's probably Z. Z was a travelling salesman of all sorts of items - illegal fireworks, various sundries, and occasionally bona fide magical items. Despite his deliberately ridiculous persona (Z talked and acted like one of the guys from the "Terries" Key and Peele sketch), Z was a shrewd and ruthless man with at least some knowledge of, and communication with, supernatural creatures. He eventually wound up as an antagonist for our Geist party, leading first to a PC that he ambushed trapping him in the underworld out of desperation and then us botching his execution when we later found him still down there.
>>97815364>DiabolistHey now, there's a difference between trafficking with Demons and trafficking with the Wyrm. That difference might be that the Wyrm is actually worse, but you can redirect blame for that onto the Garou and the Weaver, ignoring that you only made deals with it -after- it went insane. Unless the Eldest didn't, I assume the Wyrm getting imprisoned was a pre-Caine thing but I don't know that for certain.
>>97814612Since this April Fool's Day sucks dick and isn't all that good I'm importing a dumb gag if any of you are down lol. Here's a stupid gimmick to liven up your browsing experience while on /wodg/ while posting about black out and redact Ventrue, Tremere, Toreadors, White Fangs, Shadow Lords, Glass Walkers Pentex, Hermetics, Cult of Ecstasy, Etherites, Verbena or so on because these are in Jeffery Epstein's List or just spoiler things that you think are funnyHope it gives you a giggle guys.
>>97816223>I assume the Wyrm getting imprisoned was a pre-Caine thing but I don't know that for certain.the garou aren't even sure about that. One secret stargazer saga claims the weaver only became insane because of the impergium and that the garou (and other fera) themselves are at fault for the imbalance of the triat. as you can imagine the stargazers keep that one secret because the other garou try to eat your face when you tell them that
>>97815133>Saulot and the Salubri have long since passed into obscurity. They found Adonai in the 90s, though I'm not sure how far and wide the Salubri AT could spread in a decade. I think it says they haven't embraced past 11th yet?
>>97816582yeah it only been like 14 years between adonai waking up and the end times so the revised guide to the sabbat says this about these guys> no Salubri antitribu may start the game lower than Tenth Generation or higher than Twelfthbut fun fact the sabbat also sees them as soul suckers>They’re no better than their soul-sucking sires, but at least they want to do something about the goddamn Camarilla.
>>97816244>No Union operatives [/spolier] mentionedHow are Traditionalists ever going to recover?
>>97816823By Knowing how to spoiler properly,YouDumbFailocratAlso, if we were to include the Syndicate, the venn diagram of Them and people on the Epstein List would be a circle.
>>97816823The Technocrats were obviously funding Epstein's Island via Special Projects Division but most Syndicate looked the other way for the most part, when the funds come rolling in, Progenitors get large quantities of little girls and Iteration X gets funding thanks to nebulous banking deals. I'm also pretty sure NWO knew that Epstein was a Mossad/CIA asset. if not actively exploiting it Let's be real those guys know everything they can. That would be the least surprising thing possible
>>97815610Correct. The Sabbat think they're 2-0, but they're 0-2. Pretty much the only person who successfully, with no caveats, killed an Antediluvian was fucking Troile. because I am a Ventrue Antediluvian truther, way too many 4th gens exist for him to have been dusted in the second city . Augie still left behind Cappadocius's soul and Saulot was indigestible by Tremere. >>97816244I actually like this April Fool's bit. It's low on interactivity between posters, but at least it serves as something of a pleb filter, at least there's an appeal to site culture . Lastly, while your idea is novel, it does make posting a little tedious to type.
>>97816957Thats why you just highlight text and control + s now youre censoring like a real NWO pencil pusher. Though nta i find it really funny how the Sabbat like constantly jerk off themselves for being the destroyers of the Antedilluvians they pretty much exclusively just make noise and do nothing rather than hunting down the actual threats to the world like the Camarilla Inner Circle, the Antedilluvians, or even Methuselahs who are all insane threats to their world view and life style instead just feeding like parasites on a carcass and attacking weak cammie cities or wartorn regions/3rd world nations
If the VtM to VtR2e conversion anon is aroundI couldn't find any mention of vampire fangs dealing lethal damage to other vampires in the text. Considering they are lethal in Requiem and Aggravated in V20, I'd imagine they stay lethal in the coversion, but without mention one could imagine this means they do bashing, as per the "only if it says lethal to vampires" ruleMeanwhile, level 2 Protean Claws say they do lethal, while level 4 specifies Lethal to vampires, so I imagine it's intentional that level 2 only does bashing to vampires.
>>97817011The Protean thing is intentional and a direct port from Requiem, 2 dots say the claws are "mundane" weapons, whereas 4 dot claws are specified to still deal lethal to vampires. Will add an "even to vampires" to the section on bites.
>>97816823Never, the union will make sure of that. and that's a good thing. Ivory Tower and Media Control are working overtime to sanitize this mess. Everyone was involved, even the Mad Convention. Why do you think Stephen Hawking was there?.
