Making a thread about scary Yugoloths and why every party should fear them. 100% success rate at taking down PCs and their stupid adventure-ling parties. First off, they'll break all your dumb magic weapons *during combat*. That 15th party of gishes and tanks last about 3 rounds once all their magic is deprived of them. *499 more reasons to follow not fucking around with Yugoloths coming up*Look at this beast. It's absolutely 100% a threat on the battlefield. This absolute unit wreaks havoc in combat. They also secretly direct the Blood War and since it's such a threat, by proxy nearly the entire multiverse too.
>>97820529post statblock and I'll tell you how they get easily folded by the funny wizard
>>97820529Looks stupid
>>97820542I'm looking for one and the PF version looks to be the most powerful version I've ever seen of it. Piscoloths are the least likely to work alone. As lesser Yugoloths, they are probably headed up by three arcanadaemons and one ultrodaemon. They never fight fair and they will always use overwhelming forces on you. That six summons (other Yugoloths) plus one that can summon almost anything including up to Tiamat.
>>97820560Cockroach body crossed with a lobster with an illithid-like head? You'd shit your pants, Junior
>>97820609as per the universal monster rules, summoned creatures in pathfinder can't use their own spell-like summons until they've been there for at least an hour (and regular summon spells are rounds in duration)no you can't make a quadratic army by summoning summoners lol
they're hot furries
>>97820637True but I'm not going to use pf hot dumpster juice of a system ruleset. I'm just not. No one can make me either. I'll cludge together some 1e-5e monstrosity that can summon once per Yugoloth encountered, upon encountering them and then it starts counting down for an hour. Their summons disappear at the end of the hour. The summons can't summon themselves, no. That statblock that I posted isn't bad though. Daemons always spend their first round summoning and it's usually (90% of the time a surprise round) so by your first round of combat that you can act in, you went from 3 piscoloths to suddenly up to 9 of them and Tiamat. Oh also one pissed off Ultroloth. They ain't like calling in the big guns on a favor but they will not hesitant to do so vs a party that in they estimation only has a 10% chance if defeating them. If the threat level of the party ever goes up in combat, they ARE calling in their big guns. Pit friends and Balors have to respect Ultroloths and a wise party would do well to do so also.
>>97820706if you're adapting it for something else yeah I suppose it's a good base, but that is an extremely weak monster by pf1e standardsa bog standard fighter (whose party had the basic brain to align his weapon and give him delay poison, or if he bought those as potions(they're a level 1 and 2 spell respectively)) of ~4 levels lower than that CR could very easily sweep that
>>97820644Piscoloths are insectile tho
>>97820716Pf is garbage
>>97820644Kill yourself, dogfucker tourist.
>>97820747I'm no tourist, I'm a conqueror. Goons lost. Lowtax killed himself. E621 won.
>>97820716Sweep how?Give examples
>>97820765Inhale meds at a prodigious rateI love the April fools joke. I don't any of these jokers but Carlos and some dog, best April fools joke ever lmao
>>97820716Not 6 piscoloths, 1 Ultroloth and Tiamat plus invaribly 3 arcanaloths showing up in the 3rd round.
