Does air exist in your setting?
>>
>>97821275
I don't know.
>>
>>97821275
No. Why bother including something the players are never gonna see?
>>
>>97821275
Yes. No. I don't know. Can you repeat the question?

Why would I subject my PCs and NPCs to this kind of existential suffering?

Isn't it weird that when you take a material and scale it up to vast proportions, they suddenly gain all sorts of weird behaviours?
>air in a room is just air, can't see it, just sits there... yet scale it up to an atmosphere and suddenly it has layers, it has cycles, flows, clouds, storms, hurricanes, colours, etc.
>water in a bowl is just water, clear, motionless, just sits there... yet scale it up to an ocean and suddenly it has waves, currents, icebergs, colours, salinity, pressures, temperature gradients, etc.
>a piece of rock is just rock, solid, contains minerals, just sits there... yet scale it up to a planet and suddenly it has layers, pressure, heat, magnetic fields, volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains, caves, canyons, etc.

So what happens if you scaled up a different material?
