The sense of objective morality that we learned through our intra societal system of judge, jury and executioner doesn't work on scales large enough where there isn't an absolute authority anymore that can easily enforce its will. A parent telling its child to share toys with his sibling for example. At the end of the day all eventually comes down to might makes right because the ability of any given system to continue existing despite hostile external or internal forces is what ultimately any system will be graded against. It has great ideals but at the end of the day the extremely oppressive and dysfunctional implementation of the system causes it to inevitably weaken the nation to such a degree that it cannot justify it's further existance.
