I think a lot of it is simply survivorship bias. You still get cheesecakse, every gooner just like to pretend that every female mini back then was a catgirl daktari.
You also get more female minis in general than in the early days, where most female soldiers were light infantry.

What's everyone's favourite "gun"? The model you take if you just want to run around shooting everyone in your active turn.
Hard mode: No TAGs.

I've been very impressed with Mormaers. Relatively cheap for what you get; great shooting stats with a template for forking, an extra order, good fireteam options. BTS 0 isn't as big a problem as I thought it would be.

Karhu with Feuerbach.
Best gun on best man. Love me my climbing plus and 6-2 moves. Love me my msv1 and mimetism. Absolute monster and so far was able to reduce everything my enemies had to thin red paste.

I think Rui Shi is just cursed.
I had two of the previous metal ones, and they've been causing troubles ever since I just got into Infinity. The first one had CONSTANT issues with its little wings falling off, same with gunns, and I mauled it pretty badly. When I bought a second one I took to pinning it very seriously, but I also kind of mangled it a bit, and wings never wanted to stick properly, and after years they are both pretty totally wrecked. And that little horn that was separate from the body would be gone from both very soon.
So I was overjoyed to get new remotes. I hate that they put human sized weapons on remotes now, but whatever. I finally took to assembling them. And I swear I only dropped this motherfucker from like 10 cms high above the table.
ALL the Lu Duans I've had are perfectly fine, zero issues. This is insane.

Yes. Also, in N2 you could hide all 3 Antipodes under one 25mm camo marker. Deploy the controller as reserve and watch the opponent revise his plans in panic realizing that every single one of your many camos could be a furry MIRV.

Heya Infinity General, off-and-on player from N3. (I played Tunguska & Ariadna from my buddies) I've finally pulled the trigger and split the Sandtrap box with a buddy of mine, going with the PanO side. I supoose after realizing I was too retarded for other factions (and the fact that PanO are Tunguska if they weren't Agorists) I'm growing a lot towards em'. After KCF, I wanna try out Svarlheima, but outside of the Karhu, Varg, and Jotum I dunno what else to buy. I'd love some direction in what units to invest in, and if you have any good PanO reaction images I'd love them as well. Cheers in advance.

It's definitely better. May be bring you luck.

>>97883613
With the caveat that I don't play them, if you're going down the Jotum route then bring a Tech-Bee to support him. You'll need to bulk out your list with orders and in PanO Fusiliers are broadly your go-to for that. You can kit them out too for basically anything your list needs. Throw in your Vargs/Karhus for button pressing and shooting in other lanes. One guy further up was singing the praises of the Feuerbach profile. Finally, PanO has good remotes and they fit into your STR gameplan. Definitely take Palbots for your engineers, and I'm particularly jealous of Peacemakers for the templates, mines and forward deploying 8" repeaters to blunt the enemy attack. I'm a Lunokhud enjoyer and PanO get an entirely better version if not for the lack of koalas. Fugazis are also more cheap orders and deployment zone guards.
Actual PanO players will weigh in better, but choosing those units will give you a good framework as you learn the game.
>>
>>97883613
Get more armbots and more dronbots. No, i don't care how many you already own, you WILL field 3 fugazis, 4 armbots and 2 muls and you're honna like it.

Personaly though i love me my sval, there are a lot of lists you can do. Although mine tend to revolve around links instead of the jotum.
Highlights:
- Hospitaller doc, hospitaller tinbot and KoJ hacker. Bts12 is fun for hacking and you still have TAG-Tier BS.
- fusilier hmg and 2 other fusiliers (one is the lt, but don't tell your oponent) if i got an swc spare, sometimes you just need to throw 5 dice on 12s to remove somthing behind white noise. Usualy i had a missile launcher for cheap aro, but somehow that never worked out for me.
- karhus. Very good unit. Besides the obvious i like the engie to repair the armbots in the midfield. Feuerbach deletes problems.
- nisses are hated by my playgroup with a passion. Dunno why. But sometimes you just need real msv2 to keep the smokecucks in place.

I've been looking into trying infinity for a while, and I've seen an intro box on their site (picrel). Is it a good starting point to learn the rules and if the game works for me? And are the minis included a good pick for their factions (I'll go with panoceania most likely)?

As for the rules, I haven't played him yet but he looks grossly overcosted. As an ARO piece he's way too expensive to be someone that just folds to smoke, and he's too slow and unwieldly to be used aggressively. If someone who has used him wants to weigh in I'd appreciate it.

Cheerkillers are underrated but part of that is their dirt cheap Super-Jump. They're great order generators that can suddenly spring into action and slap objectives when half the board is dead.
Triggermen might actually fit decently into that gameplan, and to be fair a four dice multisniper is a hell of a gun, but I'd mourn that loss of mobility.
