Why did Eberron die?
>>
>>97842449
It's got some interesting mainstays, but they barely tried to push Eberron as a setting for 5e, though I feel that way for all settings in 5e except Forgotten Realms.
>>
Eberron was a setting built on the idea "What if 3rd edition's mechanics were not abstractions, but recognized by the world's inhabitants and societies were built around them."

It's a setting tied to an edition. The moment 4e came along and drastically changed the games mechanics, it was no longer compatible with the setting, either in tone or in the logic of its people.

There's only so much lore I can keep in my head. I always assumed it was a supplement for Pathfinder, not Forgotten Realms.

That's a good explanation, thank you anon.

It didn't, it's still getting new books

Trick question, Eberron never lived. It was the equivalent of a kid winning a tour of Willy Wonka's factory. It was never a big thing.
