>>97862713Alright anon. I'll ask the five most important questions there are to ask...Which companion wants the most SEX?Which companion has the most potential to support SEX?Which companion has the best perspective on SEX?Which companion looks the best for SEX?Which companion feels the best during SEX?
>>97862739>>97862733first version made more sense for the angle you're taking this in
>>97862739Lady HakumaLady HakumaLady HakumaJawboneJawbone
>>97862713i think campaigns are kind of undercooked, it feels like taking more than you need to is always the best choice, some of them are trivial like filler arc or purely beneficial like technique collection, you can easily get away with just not taking any bad ones even if your minimum is like six or more
>>97862762tru desu
>>97862749You're right, it was a typo but the former could've gotten some interesting insights, while the current is largely subjective.
>>97862767also there should be some basic info about how they fit into the cyoa context as a whole because i have this vague feeling that doing all of your campaigns is when your conscription also ends but the cyoa never mentions anything about it
>>97862778I don't think that's the case?
>>97862464I can't believe that the law manipulation technique I made for that one jjk cyoa actually became canon.
>>97862491>it's a kekkai moraFuck, my build is illegal.Which one is better, Senrigan or Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan? I can only pick one.
>>97862927 (Me)My other eyes are 6 Eyes, Rinnegan, Jogan, and Tenseigan.
>>97862849it logically should be, otherwise the implication is that you're a slave, which wouldn't work out for anyone trying to enforce it for most builds, to the point it would be very obviously a terrible idea for them, and besides that there's only one conscription which has any themes of slavery built into it at all such as the escape campaign, and that's the literal slave oneand even the literal slave conscirption obviously ends at that point, since by definition you're not a slave anymorethe conscriptions are vague about this stuff but it's clear that they have expiration dates built into them, and the campaigns ending are the natural place for thaton the other hand, i don't see any reason you couldn't continue working for the same employers if you wanted to, in which case you'd just get new campaigns
>>97862936> otherwise the implication is that you're a slave,You're not a slave because you can literally just leave at any given time, you're not legally required to be there forever.
>>97862358One thing that always annoyed me; what the fuck does Genio's Cursed Technique do? It seems to think 'dethroned prince' is a much more established and defined trope than it actually is.
>>97862949that's going too far in the other direction, you're probably actually legally required to do your campaigns, otherwise neither they nor for example the overtime alteration would make any sense, and it's probable that kofuko would do something to keep you in line since otherwise you're ruining his reputationof course, a legal obligation and a potential threat from a great spirit isn't the same as being actually forced into anything, so if you're strong enough to ignore the consequences you can just walk away
>>97862966I am like 99% sure you aren't, there's a reason the only conscription that mentions needing to run away from the law to get out is the one where you're a literal slave. Everywhere else it just talks about hiring you and you being compensated, which wouldn't make sense if you flatly had to be there no matter what. The most likely outcome is the guy who employed you gets mad, which is more or less of an issue depending on what conscription you actually tookAlso looking through the archives I asked PCA if anything was stopping you from just leaving and he ignored it (while answering the other parts of my question) so take that as you will.
Well I asked about it on discord so we'll see what he says
>>97863022i think of it as a contract, if you leave before finishing the job you signed up for you're in breach of the contract, with various consequences depending on the job and context>while answering the other parts of my questioni presume because it's an unfinished part of the cyoa and he hadn't ever really figured it out himself
I'm including guns and bombs but making them a separate element from the cool martial weapon arts.

>>97862341It's a fairly rote CYOA - and well planned - but the Anglerfish tie makes it meta. I like how you straddled that line. Kind of Jumpchain-esque, and I mean that as neither complement or insult. Three separate authors have to be involved for someone to play this, strictly speaking. It would be cool if that happened more within the structure of a particular setting, for example a CYOA about rising through a faction in StardustI wonder if the people who hate metaCYOAs have the same gripe with Anglerfish - it seems like a logical continuation of the isekai or planeswalking shit that I would guess many of them love. are the Climb aboard and Sink options supposed to be breasts? props to you also for the OG little girl option. >>97863745Also, ultimately I see Anglerfish as a CYOA at the end of all CYOA's in a way. To me, you don't necessarily need another one to anchor Anglerfish to, as it is a trap for the Ur-CYOA. The light at the end of all thier tunnels. As the final image of it is of the fish, to me the implication is that choosing any of the 'good' options or 'escape' options are but more figments of its mirror-trap. I wanted a definite positive resolution beyond and outside of it.

What kind of cool abilities would you like to have in a fight? Both for huge boss entities and hordes of weaker chaff. I mean specific techniques and/or passive effects, rather than wider disciplines. For example, making a cutting energy beam rather than the school of necromancy as a whole.
>>97866736M-My build is still valid...

>>97866770Big on elemental magic. Blizzards and ice attacks, debilitating mists, lightning, fireballs, energy blasts, throwing/pinning people with big gusts of wind, rock spears, summoning vines and roots to tie people down.
>>97866770i like direct spirit interactions like when you can go kill the spirit of a car in the spirit world to miraculusly make the physical car break down in real life or go be nice to the spirit of a corner store to make it more successful in real life
>>97866816I fucking hate elemental magic. It's some kind of jrpg mind cancer that has infected way too much fantasy. The closest I can easily tolerate is just putting it all into the school of evocation like in dnd. Any more gamified than that and I'm just going to wonder if I need to press start.
>>97866829Too bad, because he asked for specific techniques, and that means I'm going to cast Doom and turn that post timer into a life timer.
>>97866736>squishy glass canon build>trips over a piece of a rusty piece of metal and impales himself in the first yearlol lmao
>>97866816All very good. The techniques themselves will be a bit abstracted to what their shape and effects are. Basically you'll have a choice of eight elements, all with their own stats, to act as a chassis for your build. There are four major enemies that are resistant or vulnerable to certain elements, all of them represented once in each category. Different elements lend well to certain powers, such as Fire for Destroy, or Life for Entangle, but any can be taken with any element. There's just a large learning curve and you're on a limited, if generous time frame.>>97866824Oh yeah I'm a big fan of spirit interactions as well. Most of the power focus is on flashy, direct combat but there will be some utility-oriented stuff.>>97866829You have my condolences, anon. You are probably going to hate this CYOA when it releases. I like abstract magic but am also smoothbrained and enjoy the rock-paper-scissors dichotomy you see sometimes. Water beats Fire, etc. To add insult to injury, this is also an isekai with some basebuilding elements.
>>97866736omega psi & machine empathy
>>97866770I want something That can kill silentlyLike a gun that shoots the spirit, or a telekinetic needleSomething where it isn't clear I'm involved at allAlso, big spear type magic is really cool. Blasting big circular holes in things is cool
>>97866949I just realized this reads a little like attention whoring for a WIP. I'm not, I despise that, but I want to implement any ideas anons want for the power section.
>>97866736wasting years on % bonuses is the most jobber thing you can possibly do
Been thinking of making a remix of the Black Magic CYOA since it's pretty cool, but most people haven't played it, coz the author added a shit ton of abilities that are just "train 3 years and find out how to make your garden 30% more productive" or "study 7 years to make yourself immune to werewolves, which don't exist anymore". So I'll try to remove all the bullshit clutter spells (which I'm 50 % done with), give people maybe 12 years of spells from the beginning, add pictures to the spells for all you ADHD niggas and maybe add some items from the author's relic CYOA. Don't expect much though, I've only made one CYOA so far (the Hereafter CYOA) and might give up halfway through.
>>97866770Teleportation or portalsAlways nice to see them used in combat
>>97866770Absorbing enemy health, either as active drain ability or as portion of damage you deal. Bonus points for sick visual effect when lifeforce flows into you.
What would anons want in a cyoa about being a gladiator? Would you rather pick your own equipment/"make your build" or deal with premade (and closer to "irl gladiator") loadouts with their own strengths and weaknesses?
Do anons want a cyoa?I've been thinking about a cyoa recently and I wanted to get some feedbackDo you like cyoa's?Should I try to make one?Should there be lots of little choices or a few big ones?

>>97872152Oh, you're actually wrongThat sadNen is the accumulation of life energy, it isn't a system of arbitrary powers with arbitrary rules. The act of limiting your power is focusing your nen, and the reason personal limitations (Like pandunoka's entirely emotional limit) work is that they represent the sharpening of resolveBut where giving up things that have value to you can represent increased resolve, giving your life is literally the most resolve you can have, the full usage of 100% of your bodies spiritual powerGon didn't have some shard hidden inside him that he threw away, he just had a body keen to develop into a powerful form over time, and he used nen to speed that natural growth at extreme cost. Any technique when fuelled by post mortem nen has a 100x power boost from the fact it uses literally all of the nen you have, it doesn't have to be specific or preplanned, that's why the troupe weren't willing to kill kurapikaIt's like how in a true crisis people can break their arms through exertion, but with every single energy in the body at onceIf an average person were to give literally everything they have with a technique they had used for years, they would unstopable, almost meruem level nen for all of 5 seconds before dying. it doesn't matter what technique they are using, it would be bad to be near thatThis actually happens in jujustu kaisen when the crow lady gets her useless fucking birds to kill giant monsters by sacrificing their lifes. If you did the same thing with trained humans it would scale up massively>>97872181More power does not necessarily make you win, but if enough people are willing to spend their lives like a currency then almost anything can be beaten
>>97872231If it was possible to just suicide bomb yourself, you would have seen that shit happening to someone other than an gigaprodigy. They literally have a thing in the current arc where people have to do ridiculous overly extensive and obtuse rituals just to deliver a curse somebody. >>97872242>If it was possible to just suicide bomb yourselfIt requires that you are competent enough at nen to be able to do restrictions like that, I will say. It isn't actually someone that anyone on the street can doBut I would belive it is within the capacity of most professionals and hunters (Remember that there are like 600 hunters in a world with billions of people, and they each beat approx 999,999 other applicants to get the position)>you would have seen that shit happening to someone other than an gigaprodigy. The plot has almost entirely focused on giga prodigies. There aren't that many people seen in situations where killing yourself for power is a reasonable solution and in the few cases where it is, Like kurapika and whatnot, it is just a possibility. This feels like more of a problem with jjk then with hxh, because in hxh no one ever actually considers the world at risk in that way, on that level of organisation.>They literally have a thing in the current arc where people have to do ridiculous overly extensive and obtuse rituals just to deliver a curse somebodyNow that I think of it, the line between the average hunter and the average guy might be bigger then I was thinkingI will also note that the fact the target cannot be changed is an advantage in an intrigue setting, because no one wants to make weapons that can be used against them, and that part of those rituals are about getting the user to willingly sacrifice themselves, but yes, that is lessI do think that those curses are supposed the be instakills if delivered, and instakills that outweigh the GSB's, and that the people making them are probably being quite inefficient compared to a nen userUnless we see the curses and they are really big you are probably right about them being less then the sort of detonation I was expecting, but still I think if they were half decent hunters willing to die trying to curse someone they could probably just do it with little warm up
