Everywhere else it just talks about hiring you and you being compensated, which wouldn't make sense if you flatly had to be there no matter what. Also, ultimately I see Anglerfish as a CYOA at the end of all CYOA's in a way. To me, you don't necessarily need another one to anchor Anglerfish to, as it is a trap for the Ur-CYOA. The light at the end of all thier tunnels. As the final image of it is of the fish, to me the implication is that choosing any of the 'good' options or 'escape' options are but more figments of its mirror-trap. I wanted a definite positive resolution beyond and outside of it.
