I'm back! I'll post some stuff from you guys from the kindness of my tiny blackened heart.
I'm on a rip roarin' tear! No one can stop me and my Archwizardry!
I'm sick of the nogames comments fr.
Don't mind me! Just improving pray quality all by myself as usual.
Improving *post quality all by myself. I'll do it again too
This is Daoud's Wonderous Lantern, from The Lost Caves of Tsojcanth. You guys should see what this freaking thing can do. It's ridiculous. If I get enough time, I will post it
I simply must post this: Ipissimo's Black goose
Last post for awhile! I'll be back as soon as I am able.
Huh. My car died and I can't get back home but I wanted to post some more stuff here. All I have on me is a race for the galaxy and the third volume of the Encyclopedia Magical. I really love these as you get a deep dive into AD&D 1e and 2e very quickly with these.
You could make billions of magic items with these books btw. You could make a sword that has a cure light wounds effect like the potion of the same name. It would douse it's healing effect on target or you. These books have a ton of adventure ideas stuffed in them!
I'm still here, just dealing with car issues. I'll be back to posting soon. I hope.
>>97862828This is a dogshit thread in you should feel bad for posting it
>>97866361Idgaf what you think about this thread, 4chan or life in general. In fact, because if what you said, I'll post more stuff.
>>97866373>imma post random pages with no context!>cant even rotate his dogshit imageskill yourself, faggot
>>97866528They are just magical items, no need to get your panties in a wad and I post them like that just to aggravate little old you. Looks like it's working too. Keep crying about it.
>>97866576Dogshit thread, but at least you learned to rotate!>>97866373>I dont care!thats apparent
>>97866650Yawn of a post. I'm improving post quality and board quality while all you're doing is pissing and moaning. You could do the same thing as me but no, you'd rather be a whiney faggot. Go be a whiney faggot elsewhere. I'm doing good work here.
>>97866699Yawn of a thread.Your dogshit with no context and no discussion is not anything close to "quality", you buffoon
>>97866703Crying on 4chan is seen as unseemly. How much funding context does a magical item even need? "Oh, I used this in a one-shot once upon a time " sybau
>>97866720posting on 4chan is unseemly in general.kill yourself after this thread dies plx
Padariac's Portable Purveyor of Parfait Potions!
>>97866766Do you have one original thought in your head? You can stop copying me any old time now. Tell you what, you kys first then I'll think about it, bitch. I'm actually posting game material from a rather well know game company, maybe the best known RPG company of ALL TIME, and you are just here like moss on a log, incessantly pissing and moaning. You have yet to produce one thing of value. You can't have any friends to play with because no one would put up with your shitty attitude for five whole minutes. Stfu, you jealous bitch.
>>97866806yes my original thought:Spamming 4chan with images with zero context or discussion is something that a lonely nogames looking for validation does.
>>97866819You should try crying about it.
>>97866826Im in tears. Youre still a nogames loser
>>97866864I'm playing a game this Friday and Saturday and you will still be the crying faggot no one likes. Congratulations ig
>>97866872>endlessly spamming images with no context or discussioncommit suicide, faggot
>>97866877You first, bitch. Magic items don't need context or you're just really, really stupid. I'm guessing the latter holds true.
>>97866907>spamming thread to show off his garbage book>cant be bothered to actually post anything interesting>cant be bothered to even describe why you like said itemsspam thread
>>97866918I'm actually improving post quality and board quality and all you're doing is crying so there's that.
Gonna make some posts from a few select books. I'm finally digging out my d&d stuff after years of it being in storage
Let's do a little dive into this! Look! This is a really cool book, 2e d&d or not. Tons of ideas for MARTIALS. YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT: MARTIALS.
Before I get into Combat & Tactics I wanna mention this book too. As good as Combat & Tactics is for martial classes, this book is equally as good for Spellcasters. Both books put a pretty good spin on their classes and more importantly, they are actually pretty playable or viable during each level you progress through. I'll post some more b of this one later. My Internet connection has been wonky all day long.
First, let's look inside the front cover. This is pretty neat as all these books listed are pretty good.
The other side. Ik these are advertisements but it's unfortunate you don't see it as often. Probably the worst thing on this page is Dragon Mountain and it's pretty damn awesome.
Skipping the fontispiece as it's just the cover again, skipping the foreword for now, though it's decent to read. Let's go straight to the ToC for a looksie. There's 9 chapters and the ToC is 3 pages long so you have been warned, Zooms
TOC second page. Notice at the beginning of most chapters there's an entry called Does This Belong In My Campaign? Back when this company actually gave a shit about us, gamers, people who had been with them since the 70s.
Third page TOC. I think I like the chapter about monsters the best. Any chapters stand out to you guys? Chapter 4 Weapon Specialization & Mastery is the first chapter most players looked at first but the chapters covering weapons & armor (ch 7) and siege warfare (ch 8), 22 pages long, were pretty chill and useful. Actual siege warfare rules were few and far between. The weapons and armor section covered the Iron Ages, the Bronze Age etc, as you can see for yourself
Let's get into this! Introduction gives us some reason why we might want to read this chapter and explains the three parts of this chapter (this chapter is only 9 pages long so it's not going to torture you too much, Zooms.)Also, a little squib for Does This Belong In My Campaign? Hail Lucifer!
Self-explanatory stuff, still might be useful for new players imo
Just more info on monster intelligence and part on alignment. Taking a break for a moment brbHail Satan!
Ah, morale. Remember they had these funky rules for a creature's morale for years then got rid of them? A real DM probably still uses them to some degree. They were handy little tools to manage random encounters.
I liked these rules and utilized most of them. You had to use then if you were going to use this book's crit rules iirc
I probably should skip these pages but I don't wanna
Dragon stuff. About fucking time, huh.
Some of these rules are good stuff for the longevity of your game.
Finishing the chapter up
And that's it! Just 9 pages. That wasn't so bad now, was it, Zooms
>endless spamming of crappy images with no context or discussion >Hail Satan! Hail Lucifer! Are you 14 or something? Holy shit what a loser
>>97868829Lol are you a moron? I talked about what I was posting while I was posting it. This stuff literally speaks for itself. Hail Eris!
>>97871275Nta but you genuinely posted a terrible thread and you aren't even capable of slowing down and actually talking about the things you are posting, you just want to engage in mania and get attention. >Hail Lucifer!>Hail Satan!>Hail ErisThis shit genuinely makes you come across as a very desperate juvenile person
>>97875551You should try crying about it.
>>97875551Nta but how does any of this shit need an explanation? A child could understand everything posted itt
Check it out! I could easily fill the rest of this thread with these and probably 1500 more threads for that matter. Let's take a look inside! THESE ARE SO GOOD. I cannot express that enough.
First let's jump to page 1567. Check out this claim. 4 *billion* magic items can be made using these four volumes. Some might be useless to your Adventurer but they are all interesting at least. I've been known to weigh down adventurers with magic stuff because they always get into a terrible quandary about getting rid of anything, absolutely anything, that has even the whiff of magic about it, which I find hilarious. If you get a chance to screw with the players, do it. Everything is mostly in their favor anyway.
Ok vol 1. I'm gonna skip some pages. They're useful but not right now. We're jumping into artifacts and these rules are pretty good and I'm guessing pretty old at this point, as well..
Table 1 00 continuedPart of table 101The very first table are Cataclysms! I've used this tracker quite a bit- artifacts should always have major drawbacks imo. And let's face it, springing a cataclysmic event on the party's Wizard (or Priest) is always a fun time.
>>97876778That pic is awful. Here's a better one.
Table 1 finishTable 2 combat. The combat table is pretty interesting. I never needed this table very much but I don't l do think it can add some pizazz to a random dagger your character found. Some of these effects are pretty powerful. A 20 result in this table can net you a Warband Quest! I'm not even sure what book that is in. I'm gonna look that up while I'm at it and I'll return with some results. I expect it to be super ridiculous in power. We'll see. Oh table 3 is here also. I would only use this table if the die roll indicated it or the magic item in question had anything to do with conjuration. A wand bringing forth an Animal Horde seems likely but Plate Mail of Animal Horde just doesn't seem very thematic. Remember, these are also artifacts so really, anything goes if you want it to. Sometimes I do but most times I want it all to be thematic so it lives up to player's expectations.
Ok here's the rest of the curses table and all of the detection table. The curses table can be devastating to a character and should be. I've used this table a lot for artifacts. Players will complain about curses every single time but this ain't carebears bullshit. Power has a price. I do recommended the curses table highly.
And here's the rest of the divination table and all of the elemental air table. I find the divination table to be really powerful, especially in the players hands. They are always going to come up with stuff you weren't planning for and they're supposed to. As a DM you will hardly ever be challenged as you control all the challenges anyway but these kind of effects can their kinks into your best laid plans. I love divination rules, spells, items in my game and I plan for divination to be used. This is honestly a fun table to meet around with? Moment Reading? Consequence? Wtf! Oh the previous page allowed the user to contact the deity associated with the artifact once per week in the result of a 3 on a d20. That's a permanent effect and can be super useful for the players obvs. I, too, want to talk to Takhisis every week about my breakfast choices, if nothing else but to annoy tf out of her. (I'm a Kender so I'm not scared of anything.)
Here's the rest of the elemental fire table and all of the elemental water table. I don't find these particularly useful unless I just want to flesh out some elemental related artifact. They can be pretty powerful effects though. Chariot of Sustarre? Airy Water? Please and thanks. I need to survive this next part. Alright taking a break. Bbl.
