That being said, I would expect them to use capital punishment a lot less given their smaller population, and they'd likely be less inclined towards corporal punishment too, given how they're commonly depicted as prissy, uptight, and rather arrogant. In fact, in light of these traits, I think the most logical justice system for Elves would be fines or some kind of social shaming for minor crimes, exile for more major crimes, and execution only for the highest crimes, at least when dealing with other Elves. When dealing with other types of Elves or non-Elves (Dark Elves/Drow/equivalent, humans, etc.) they'd probably be even less merciful than a typical Medieval or Renaissance society and would probably just outright kill them or exile them on the spot, even for minor offenses.
