She doesn't speak of her past, or the marks upon her body, but she is but one of many who were saved from the clutches of the humans. Taiyo fights with vibration, shockwaves and resonance on a level never before seen - A true prodigy of Fishman Karate. Legend says she even knows the forbidden technique... Drunk Driving which allows the wielder to utilize a ship itself as a weapon.

She actually loves to cook and sing and has a broad skillset developed over the years. Just don't ask her to perform music for you without proper preparation. One building destroyed is more than enough to learn that lesson.

WG types recognize her as an escaped slave of a noble who 'employed' her as a favorite source of entertainment. She managed to grow her mastery in secret and destroyed a large chunk of their mansion and escaped alongside a large number of slaves. She leads a sort of rebellion targeting primarily the elite rather than any other ships they come across.

Every four years she hosts a grand festival for pirates from all across the seas, which quite often ends up with whatever poor island ends up being the host completely destroyed from the moshpits overflowing.

Just popped into threads and saw people were talking about the Forever Chained drawback. It is pretty much a free perk, especially if you take it as a pirate because its a perfect springboard for your Tragic Backstory and why you're out on the high seas.

For Haku though his Forever Chained has warped his entire view on freedom. There is no true freedom to be had, merely extensions on one's cage. It's why he's such a loyal agent as this is the closest to freedom he thinks he'll ever get, even if he's still under the Celestial Dragon's thumbs. He's become their little "how high?", only caring about completing missions so that he can keep the lifestyle that he has and prove his usefulness so that he can continue to rise, but no matter how far he rises he knows he'll still be a tool for them to use. He just buries the thought deep down with all the bodies of the targets he's put under for his superiors' continued rule and keep himself thinking that he'll be alright as long as he's under the WG' wing. It's also why he's alright bringing others into the fold of being a slave if they get marked for capture as really it's just a natural conclusion, their "freedom" running out as they simply walked into the bars of the cage that's been around them the whole time.

Also, I think you can use narrative drawbacks as genuine drawbacks without saying it just nerfs your build in strength. I was thinking about Haku's strategy around his different targets and one main plan being to attack their psychological weakpoints. He's a smooth talker, but if he can't convince them to give up easily, he might be able to knock them off balance to give himself the advantage. Its exceptionally strong against Observation users if he can manage to pierce deep enough as its harder to use the techniques under its purview if you are undergoing extreme stress or emotional turmoil. He's not going to know right off the bat but it's not going to be too hard if its something related to CD's.
