Then they got sued by another company that also erroneously believed they had the license and rolled over rather than fight it. 25~ years later it comes out that nobody except the original copyright holder has the license for the underlying designs (Harmony Gold only had a license to release the actual animation and not to anything in that animation) and if FASA had simply gone to discovery the entire Unseen debacle would not have happened the way it did.
