Alright, posting this one last time. I'm making franchise slop. I want the anons here to give me area boss ideas. Basic idea: World is ending, you are trying to stop that by imposing an order on the world. Pick an area for you to be the boss of. You don't need to know the game to do this, just make a generic explanation for a jrpg character, though you can go as in depth as you wish. I have built the google sheet, and I'm doing the rules explanations. I have probably gone too far, but here we are. After that is: Origin, classes, starter weapon, starter spell, starter ashes of war, items. Then each region gets its options for your path through it. Then the boss of each region, then the final boss at the end of the CYOA. I also have to do companion pathing, side quest pathing, Elden Rune creation explanations. Then figure out where I'm putting the twinks.

In my headcanon, I keep Ranni locked up in a jar as a miniature doll using the now released power of the newly reclaimed (destined) death rune, and use/reanimate Gideon’s severed head as a not!Mimir repository of knowledge (the know-it-all bastard’s head is going on top of my staff or something), and continue research into new variations of glintstone interactions: such as amber/yellow glintstone sorceries, crystalrot (crystalian + scarlet rot) sorceries, faith/blood (red glintstone based sorceries like lava or thorns) sorceries (the hornsent spiral incantations/“sorceries” may fall into this if we consider the descriptions for them), etc. Sellen becomes one of my first advisors (she also gets a great rune), and we’ll probably connect the capital city of Leyndel, using portals, to the academy of Raya Lucaria to make a dual-capital of sorts; a bit like the eternal cities. I plan to continue research into glintstone crowns as well; new variations of several of the conspectuses (and the eradication and abolishment of the Lazuli), but I want to look into glintstones real ability to think FOR the sorcerer, as spells are seen to behave like living intelligent things, hopefully to the point where citizens can cast sorceries without being intelligent themselves, like the folk of Oolacile in Dark Souls 1, or the staff of the Demi-human queen(s), or AI in real life. There’s a lot we could get up to.

I was roughing out a build for Isekai Dark Overlord . . .and realized just how dark it actually is. Unlike Dawn of a Demon Lord, (you) can't just turtle somewhere and try to run out the clock. You've got to actively change the world. And unlike Summoner's Choice, (your) benefactor is clearly a sinister entity. Otherwise killing all the locals or blowing up the planet wouldn't be an option.So keeping (your) morals intact is going to be tricky. My first pass on the build involved raising living standards (so that people weren't turning to the goddesses in desperation), while promoting technological/magical progress, making it seem a better route to power than joining the clergy. So the world gets better, the bloodshed is minimal, and I can walk away victorious with my hands clean and my vaults full of cool artifacts. Yeah . . .and then it occured to me that I was running a mix of Sauron's scheme against Numenor and the televangelist conspiracy theory re: Satan promoting secularism. So less ethical than I thought. And it might be slow enough that the goddesses have time to attempt an apocalyptic reboot. Crashing a meteor into the planet, make it rain for 40 days and nights . . .you know, something to kill all the people I'd peacefully subverted, AND rekindle the faith of the survivors. Do we have any doomsday preppers in the thread? I'm open to suggestions and countermeasures. :)
