Hey /tg/, its been a minute hasn't it.Anyway, you guys deserve a status update. I finished reading the Varisian APs and have begun the proccess of organizing and planning the layout for the Varisia Jump!So far, Its got oodles of stuff in it, but I'm still missing some things. So I figure I should prod your brains for ideas while I'm udpating you guys.Currently the Jump uses dual perk and item lines, at least 4 drawbacks per price tier, and several Scenarios planned. The Backgrounds are>Local>Tribal>Foreigner>Darklander>Thassilonian (200)AS for what I'm missing, I still need ideas for>100 perk for Thassilonian>600 perk for Foreigner>600 Item perk for Local>a bunch more items for Tribals>2 100cp items for foreigners>a 100 and 200cp items for Thassilonian>a 200cp Companion option for Darklanders>three 300cp drawbacksIf you guys have any suggestions, or suggestions in general, it would be greatly appreciated.

>>97954824Looks like a odd visual novel. Speaking of odd visual novels, wasn't there a visual novel about some SCP thing that had the body of a hot woman but the face of a wolf skull?I just can't helps but think that is something that a drunk Jumper would wake up next to after a night of hard drinking.I could see them talking to their companions later. "So I got hammered and when I woke up the next day I didn't remember anything but next to me was this woman. She had a smoking body but her face looked like a wolf skull."To make this Jumpchain related, what was the weirdest thing your Jumper did while drunk?
Does the Kingdom in Oasis of Fantasy scale with technologies? I know it scale population and mystery, but what about modern technologies? Would my kingdom still be slinging rock and stones if I import it to Fate Stay Night?
>>97958426>wasn't there a visual novel about some SCP thing that had the body of a hot woman but the face of a wolf skull?I didn't realize MalO got a visual novel. I should check that out. I always thought she was kinda cute.>I could see them talking to their companions later. "So I got hammered and when I woke up the next day I didn't remember anything but next to me was this woman. She had a smoking body but her face looked like a wolf skull."Definitely the cosmic planeswalker version of a butterface.
You get a chain, but...What's your plan? It's the standard deal. There's a jump-chan, you choose the jumps, and you need to be entertaining. You don't know how long you can keep her entertained, so what do you do?Do you go for the most desired perks and powers right away? Do you try to come up with a specific plan to keep the benefactor hooked for as long as possible? Ask for some rule variations in the hope some limitations and special conditions will keep her more interested?
>>97960453Fuck it, we ball.
>>97960453I am screwed if I have to keep a benefactor entertained. I am about as interesting as watching paint dry. Still I'll try and get the most of the the chain I can until she kicks me out. Appearance perks, Intelligence Perks, definitely a few luck perks, the ability to resurrect the dead, to be ageless and make others ageless. I might have to pick up or likely create a companion who is more interesting than me.
>>97960453I have always viewed the entertaining Jump-chan thing as a logical fallacy. Why would Jumper be chosen if Jumper isn't entertaining? So ignoring that part of the Chainbutt, general turtle strategy. There's otherwise no reason to not just rush some of the worse written Jumps for power.
>>97960453If we assume the existence of certain jumps and perks to mean that a benefactor wants to see that kind of thing, then benefactors are bizarrely easy to entertain. Acting like an indulgent SI protag is apparently a plus. Jump-chan just loves OP isekai fiction. About the only thing you can't get away with doing is nothing.Although personally I wouldn't be too concerned with dragging things out. Even one jump worth of stuff is a major improvement, and it's pretty easy to get a decent package of powers that I'd be fine with no matter where I got dropped off. I think I'd aim for some of my usual favs early. but other than that, I'd just do what seems interesting in the moment. If the point is to be entertaining I'd rather have fun with it, set some reasonable goals, and do things I think are cool. I'm not going to stress out over maybe missing out on godmode by not rushing it in the most efficient way. Even if the chain ends early I'm still much better off for trying, and if the benefactor likes my style and keeps it going, then obviously I'm doing something right.
>>97952951https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAWUQHK0u3EA completely innocuous and classical theme, representing my innocence and refinement, obviously.
>>97952951https://youtu.be/ZgonemB05FYV1TXP7yoeCm9Ty8o
>>97958485probably depends on if you decide to drop in or make it part of the proper world history.
>>97960453>and you need to be entertaining.I often thought, maybe it's not just "you" who needs to be entertaining. What if things in a story's normal flow of events suddenly took a very different turn because of your guidance or action? Most benefactors (that don't have a hate-boner for certain kinds of characters and think you'd make them suffer just by existing) would probably even be easily entertained by something as simple as planting the idea of not killing Lind L. Taylor into Light's head in Death Note just to see what happens, or "subtly" planting evidence that exposes a critical lie to an important character, or something else like thatI think, since Jump-chan is a spectator who just wants to see "thing, except now this asshole I'm enabling is in it", the only way you make them lose interest is if you do the same shit every single time, unless it's a funny enough recurring gag
I understand some use these to write stories. Where can I find them?
>>97962942You can start by finding your nearest big city and looking for Martin Luther King Jr Avenue/Street/Bvld.

>>97954824So the only way to make any of these perks useful in combat is through a scenario, and the scenario doesn't explain how it makes those perks useful in combat?Pointless jump.
>>97964671No problem and hey it's easy to miss. Don't feel bad.
>>97960453sorry old man, jump chan hasn't been standard for a decade
>>97960453Might as well go for high power from the start in case the Benefactor can somehow get bored. Like, nothing guarantees that staying longer will do anything to improve that. So something like Isekai at Peace or Shard's DC Comics for me at the start. Maybe chaining both if possible.

When the option is available, do you think it's reasonable to import single-handed into single-handed, two-handed into two-handed? Like, an axe into a sword? I usually do things like:Revolver = HandgunAssault Rifle = Sniper RifleSpear = ClaymoreAnd so on. Just to gain the properties of the thing. Would you say this within the spirit of general importing?
>>97980223Probably. Worst case scenario, just import it via Borderlands and/or RWBY to get alternate firing modes since the latter can have clear mode changes like shotgun/carbine to rifle and I wanna say the former can actually swap ammo types when engaging certain alt-firing modes in the more recent games.
>>97980223For me, it depends on the benefit I'm wanting to add. Doing something like giving a hammer a monomolecular edge wouldn't make sense, but adding a generic 'hit harder' benefit would.

Since seeing Homelander get the absolute shit beat out of him in crossovers is in on the internet right now (I saw him lose to Marry Poppins on youtube). Do we have a The Boys Jump so we can have a go at everyone's favorite red white and blue punching bag?
>>97984447We do. The Boys is kind of more realistic. Such as Homelander needing leverage to be his strongest. He can't just strike with full power.
>>97984459It's kind of Ironic. In the comics he was tricked in to becoming a monster. In the show no one had to guide him to become one. Well I suppose Stormfront didn't help.

May the 4th be with you! Here are some jumps.LEGO Star Wars Games (The Complete Saga Series) 0.1>https://files.catbox.moe/ntcpiv.pdfLEGO Harry Potter Games 0.1>https://files.catbox.moe/2ba8cg.pdf
How do you deal with going to a low technology world after doing sci-fi jumps? I have a whole bunch of items and properties that would incredibly out of place in a fantasy setting.
>>97989042Ah but that is the wonder of Jumpchain. Having a Robot Construction plant and business in Game of Thrones or owning and importing Modern multinational corporation in to cave man times earth. There are a few different options. You can say it just works. They are there by Jumpchain Fiat and try not to think too hard about it. You can say that you get the nearest setting appropriate equivalent, Maybe instead of Robots you have a business that makes weird disposable golems for rich people or if you want something spicy you own a slaver business, congrats. The other option is if it doesn't fit it either doesn't appear or it becomes an attachment to your Warehouse if you have one. Anyways it can be any of these, a mix of these or something you pull completely out of your rectum. That is the glory of Jumpchain, while others can tell you that it doesn't make sense, they can't tell you that you can't do it. So go power up your Megazord and make a DnD Dragon cry as it laughs at the breath weapon and forms it's shinning sword of power..
>>97989042Wouldn't they be seen as just a different form of magic in a fantasy setting?
>>97989042Either get to uplifting, or self-impose a ban on yourself if you want. Don't forget that plenty of fantasy settings out there can also include planetary travel.
>>97960453Just get a perk that makes you always entertaining to watch?
I think this movie would cut real deep for anyone that's deeply invested in jumpchain, especially if you self-insert.If anyone's seen it, would anyone want a jumpchain for it? I'm cooking a little in my head but I've got other projects I'm working on too. The movie is really fucking good but it's not really great jumpchain material.
>>97990093
Fuck it. I'll start working on my Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar remake Jump. I'm mostly intending to make the fourth perk line an origin, somehow. Fix typos and whatnot. It can be my Jump for May. I'll probably rewatch it first.
>>97990868But how can you find time to work on your jump with your busy schedule of shit posting?
>>97990868>I'm mostly intending to make the fourth perk line an originJust make a dedicated church/Wahanly origin and shuffle some items around. You'd barely need to add more than like 4 things and most of it would be filler for low cost perk/item slots compared to what's already there.
>>97991191Good question. I'm actually doing my yearly maintenances right now so that maybe I'll choose to go back to work, and so I don't actually have the time I normally would. Assuming I manage to finish this and not redo the whole thing, which it kind of looks like I might redo basically all of it, I won't be posting any new Jumps for two to four months. Frankly, I haven't done the math yet, but due to the Strait of Hormuz issue, it may be more economical for me to skip work this year. In which case you are stuck with me.Once this is remade, I don't really have the intention to remake anything else. Demon King hoodwinked me, and every interaction I've had involving posters about it have been negative. I won't read over a thousand pages of the light novel for cunts about an anime-misrepresented setting. Heroic Age I feel guilty over, but it's just way too much power to be giving as a Jump. Katawa Shoujo has a remake already by someone else, and I'm perfectly fine with that. Sorry that I couldn't Hercules my mind together when I made that, I am very crazy.>>97991341That would be the smart thing to do, but I'm real fucking stupid. I'm watching it right now while wiki crawling, and I've missed some shit. Like, I saw the Grey Seikijin at the time, but I didn't realize that's what it was supposed to be because it's never named as such. I can make it better yet if I try. I also don't want to make people a Masaki because I just don't want to consume all the other Tenchi media to learn what that actually means. I saw the main series ages ago when it came out. I retain nothing outside of power scaling, and I am allergic to powerful setting Jumps. I can handwave a lot of that due to this being a spinoff.I'm thinking, maybe, two 100, two 200, one 400, two 600, or something. I have thoughts, but I don't like breaking from pricing orthodoxy. I'll figure something out.
Do we even have any jumpmakers left who are based enough to make a jump for Pragmata?
>>97992071>PragmataI don't get why that game is controversial. It seems like it would be a cool jump. I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone in the bunker took it up. Then again I would have thought the same about stellar blade but I don't think that one happened.
May the 4th be with you, /jc/.
>>97992071Probably not. Just look at the number of jumpmakers still active here. There are what, five? The most active jumpmaker here is DD and he has the productivity of a snail.
>>97993368I've put out one Jump for every month this year. I do very well for a schizophrenic who only consumes porn. I was moderately more insane in the past. There's a phenomenon of grey matter fixing itself over time, and I wonder if that's happened. I'm done watching War on Geminar. I shall have to copy everything already existing to a new document to make anything, but I can start when I wake up later. Also, I have mo interest in the loli feet game. Ask 9Janny, he likes little girls. Goodnight.
>>97992191> I don't get why that game is controversialShitty women
>>97992191>>97994092it's controversial because leftist women who never touch grass assume that men like itthat's not even hyperbole, while a lot of the shitposting is about how fatherhood equals pedophilia, some of them explicitly say that men like the game so they feel like they aren't allowed to like it
Test
I don't like to take companions because it's a huge pain to write down what they get from Jump they get imported to.
>>97996494Failed.
>>97996525I do take companions, but I treat them as allies and mentors during the jump and then leave them behind when I'm done. This also means I don't need to track tons and tons of items and perks that I'd be spending "leftover" points on.
>>97996525I do this:Companion List: Companion_Option (Companion_Name (Origin / Race / Gender / Age / Perks / Items))Or it might look like this:Companion List: Companion_Option (X2) (Companion_Name_1 (Origin (Drop-In) (Faction) / Race (Sub-Race) / Gender / Age (Apparent Age) / Perks / Sub_Perks / Items / Sub_Items),Companion_Name_2 (Origin / Race / Gender / Age / Perks / N/A / Items / N/A),Depending on the options. It's all just formating, innit. You have to establish that baseline pattern. I don't use companions, though. I'll write one up, and then immediately rewrite my build because I don't want to be accountable for another person.
Is the bunker down for anybody else?
>>97996525I organize my jumps in CherryTree, so all I have to do is copy-paste their purchases into that Companion's node. I just go through it whenever I forget something or add something new.

>>97996813Moe had a hiccup, it's back now.
The door into Madorna inn swung open as Vaati steps in. Looking over the empty Inn, a particular bard had made the backroom of his workshop."Alright I'm here. What is it you wanted to show me- You look like you've had a rough night" The swordsmen says spotting venti at one of the tables. Nursing a tankard of something frothy, Beer if one had to guess and rubbing his head."Well, a bit. I finished the last piece I was working on early last night. Decided to work on my cultivation for the rest of the night." The bard sighs taking a long drink from his cup before slumping back."That doesn't feel like it'd be that bad." Vaati says taking a seat across from him. Tossing a blue rupee towards the innkeeper."Give me a drink. Whatever's good.""Well it wouldn't be but I'm still trying to forge my last Quintessence. And Time sure is a doozy. Have to convert all the essence needed for it to even try and trust me that takes a while even with the wind being abundant.""It broke on you?" Vaati asks remembering the process that forging every other previous quintessence that his companion had gone through."Yep. It crumbled. Thought I got it for a moment but it ended up shattering. Just get close to the end and this is the last part of the last technique I need to learn before I can start to finish up the second stage " Venti shrugs tiredly. Taking a sip of his drink as the innkeeper sets a mug in front of Vaati."Well thats unfortunate. You're get it next time, eventually at least. You've gone through this whole process seven other times." Vaati shrugs. Wishing he knew something better to say in regards to the bards frustration.""Yeah, I know." Venti mumbles a touch gloomily."I guess I'm just feeling the pressure a bit."The bard sinks back into his seat."I'm supposed to meet my master again next year, and I haven't seen him for a century! I... just really don't wish to disappoint him."1/6
>>97996953"Disappoint him? What the hells would he be disappointed at?" Vaati scoffs taking a long drink from his cup. If there was one thing he had to give the hylians it, was he never had to worry about his drink being poisoned. "That you didn't somehow charm two Queens or the empress herself. Your failure to break through to true immortality in only a hundred years? Worried he'd disapprove of you slaying so many monsters on the grass sea or you're Inn?"The swordsmen questions sarcastically leaning back."You're fine. If he's disappointed it'd be a slap in the face of what your people value from what I figure You've done great. Whether you make it to the third stage before you see him again or not.""Wow."The bard smiles. His mood brightening a bit at his words even laden with sarcasm as they were."That's probably the nicest thing you've ever said about me.""Bah. It's the truth don't make a big deal out of it." Vaati waves a hand lazily taking a drink."Anyway, you called me here for a reason, right?" He asks trying to get back on topic."Ah right!" Venti nods as he suddenly snaps to digging into his pockets. Pulling out a massive box and hefting it onto the table."Well since your birthdays coming up. And we're going to go west soon. I thought it best to get you prepared a bit. And hopefully give you a gift at the same time. So I've been working on some... well I wouldn't call them "Artifacts" per say. I don't think I'm quite that skilled, but they are things you might find useful."He smiles hopefully pushing the box towards Vaati."I hardly need trinkets." Vaati mumbles shaking his head as he tries to undo the ribbon tying the box shut."But... thank you."He comments as he manages to open the gift and pulls out a white robe. Running his thumb over the fabric."This is... rather fine." The swordsmen comments surprised."Silks a bit unusual for you. Never see you wear it. And whites not really my color."2/6
>>97996953"Well, I prefer cotton or linen... I don't like dressing so nice usually." Venti mumbles looking away."But I know you care about making a good impression, so I got a finer material for you when I made it. And whites a very respectable color!"" The real work was put into the arrays and enchantments and more advanced magic anyway."The bard grins again though as he holds up a finger ticking off features."I made it durable enough to keep you standing up if you go hit by a cannon practically, and to redistribute the impact, self-repairing and cleaning to, It has some arrays to help keep you from getting hungry as fast, should protect you from immense heat and electricity if you ever encounter it, allow you to breath underwaters. Don't ask how long that last one took I had to take a trip to lake Hylia and ask some zoras how to do it right." "Oh"Vaati's eyes go wide as he looks at the garment again in a new light and back to it's proud looking creator."You didn't have to do all that."He mutters a hint of wonder but also sheer bafflement at the lengths venti had gone through."Oh hush! You're my friend! You deserve something good once and a while." The bard shakes his head before gesturing to the box."Keep looking though. That's not all.""What do you mean-"Vaati begins to ask looking in the box again before noticing there was still quite a bit of thing left in it."Thats a lot of knives."The swordsmen comments pulling out a leather case stuffed to the brim with sharp enchanted metal."Indeed they are! I thought you might appreciate a ranged option. And I know you don't quite like bows so... I'd hope this would work!"The cultivator grins tapping the case."I made them, so they reappear in their casing after a few moments of hitting whatever their thrown at. Even added a couple elemental ones to imbued with fire, ice or light."3/6
>>97996953"Wow, these will be useful then." Vaati nods putting the case down to keep digging pulling out a long flat metal rectangle. "...This I have no clue about though." "Ah this!"Venti stands up excitedly."This is probably the finest piece of work, I've done here. It took a lot of testing to get right. You might need a bit of practice to use it though.""What is it?"The swordsmen asks running a finger across one side."Well, its... I'm not sure what to call it yet. But I've imbued it with a lot of things. Essences and arrays to twist them to let you manipulate the elements a little bit, telekinesis, a feature to freeze something in time temporarily even if it's a bit tricky. It can also make explosives to throw but that was easy to do comparatively. Oh! It also maps the area wherever you are! and it can take photos. I thought those would be nice features to put in. Oh, and a teleportation network for a lot of places.""That quite a lot." Vaati lets out a low whistle putting down the metal tablet."I'll make sure to use it well." He says as he still finds more in the box to his own surprise."Venti... how much stuff did you make?" "Well..." The bard looks up at the ceiling. Toying with one of the knives."I wanted to make sure you were set up well and I really enjoyed making stuff. So, I just kind of got really engrossed in it for a while."Venti says shrugging."It's just about... ten items?""Ten of them?!" Vaati practically yells looking to the box and then back to the bard. Before determined to see the full scope of what his friend had made. Starts to pull object after magical object. All with some purpose behind them out laid out on the table."Venti this is absurd! Each one of these is probably a fortune. You could buy a town practically with all these put together."The once foreigner looks almost aghast realizing the sheer worth of what he probably had between his hands.4/6
>>97996953"Oh come on your exaggerating." The bard coughs lightly shaking his head."You deserve... well something in recognition for trying like you do even if you pretend, you're not, and it was fun to put what I know to work."The second stage cultivator pauses before adding tentatively You can sell it if you really want to, but I'd prefer you get some use out of it.""What are you mad? I'd never sell it. There gifts."Vaati frowns."I'm not so callous to auction off gifts. Especially not from you of all people.""Aww I knew you liked me!"The bard chuckles but from the look in his eyes vaati could tell he was relieved."I'm glad you appreciate it though. I know it might be a little much, but you're prepared and that's the important part."Vaati wasn't sure how to respond to that. Looking down at the littered table now. Staring at a pair of metal gauntlets.A feeling wells up in him he can't quite describe and the swordsmen sighs."Thank you."Was all the student said. Not wanting to become overly sentimental the not quite a outlander anymore goes in a different direction"So... once we go west. What will happen?" "Well..." The bard leans back in his seat. Digging into his green cloak to chuck a red rupee at the counter before another full tankard of beer pops into existence before him before he promptly drains most of it."For myself. I still need to have that meeting with my master myself. And I... do believe he has something planned. Though I don't have any idea what really and who knows if anything's changed. It's not as if I've seen the man in a lifetime." Venti frowns a bit taking a smaller sip."I guess that's just normal for cultivators after a certain age but still I do hope he remembers me.."A touch of melancholy creeps into the cultivators tone before he shakes it off with vaatis gaze upon him."As for you... well I'm still just a Junior disciple of my sect, buuuuut." 5/6
>>97996953The bard trails off as if considering something."I could put in a good word for you at the three golden truths. If you... wanted to try and potentially become a cultivator proper of course.""You'd... do that?" Vaati wonders a touch in disbelief."That's... do you know how valuable that is? People back home would and have killed for even a chance at being considered for a chance to become a cultivator.""Well this isn't Zhiguo." Venti smiles brightly."I think you deserve a chance. Of course, I can't just get you in I don't have that kind of influence, But I think you can make it. And I'll be as present as I can to try and tutor you. Even if I can't be you're official teacher.""I'd be honored!" The swordsmen mutters. Still not sure he was hearing right. It was almost absurd to him between such a offer and the gifts."I promise to not embarrass you. Or bring dishonor to your sect!" "Oh hush none of that!"The bard tuts shaking his head as he stands up. Offering a hand to his junior."You don't need to get all formal or promise anything except trying to be a good person and the best Vaati you can be. Now what say I go and show you how you're new equipment works?" "S-Sure! That would be... grand." Vaati mutters taking his hand. And that as they say was that. The future as it was in just a few minutes had become much clearer to vaati. And to him it looked bright.6/6

But this time I'm taking my time and plotting out my story properly and I am coming to find... That I absolutely am falling for it. I started off making a knowledge and skills focused jumper, but as my adventures go on the need for some sort of combat skill becomes greater and greater, so I decided to take weapons training skills. You had every opportunity to actually play Jumpchain in a way that you liked, and you proved that you preferred engaging with pointless drama instead. You want to claim that you're the most die hard fan, yet despite claiming to have more time, money, and energy than anyone in this hobby, you're only known for ranting and bitching about how terrible the community is and you won't ever leave. You live for this shit and that isn't going to change, even when everyone else leaves.
>>98009703So you admit it was your fault the bunker died?
>>98009951>a single player game needs to follow your rulesIt needs to follow rules. A thing is what it is. If you do something else, you are not doing the thing. You do not care. I am only responsible for what I show you, not what you see. You will continue to be wrong because you are wrong.>>98009962At least the culprit is revealed.
>>98009975>If you do something else, you are not doing the thingJumpchain is a single player imagination game where you make your own story. That is the thing. No different from back when we were on /cyoag/. Of all people I would have expected you to remember, but instead you go and do the exact same thing people used to bitch about.
>>98010044>Jumpchain is a single player-Jumpchain is a CYOA with rules. Jumpchain is not inherently fanfiction.>you're obsessed with telling people how you're an oldfag,I'm obsessed with pointing out that I have seen you people continuously make mistakes because they happen to make you feel good. I am insane, but you people are very often genuinely low-IQ. I can say this with great confidence because one of the big markers for it is your inability to understand that just because some aspects of something isn't what you want, doesn't mean it's wrong. The rules are the thing, not your interpretation of it.
>>98009040yes this is a common issue with DDAnon, which is why no one wanted him in charge lmao
>>98010089>your inability to understand that just because some aspects of something isn't what you want, doesn't mean it's wrongIronic that you say this considering your history of screaming about bad jumps, how jumpmakers should be driven out of the community, and trying to rally people against rules because you thought they were wrong. But of course you're going to say that you were right all along. >Jumpchain is a CYOA with rules. Jumpchain is not inherently fanfiction. It is a single player game. You can cling to these "rules" of yours and bitch about how Jumpchain needs a police force, but you can't enforce anything, and at best you scream, flail about and insult anyone who doesn't agree with you. Rules without enforcement are guidelines at best, but meaningless all the same.
>>98010122>screaming about bad jumpsMore of this needs to happen, to be fair.
>>98010122>and trying to rally people against rules because you thought they were wrong. That the initial guidelines were insufficient and or artificial.>But of course you're going to say that you were right all along.Yes, that's what happens when you're right. For all my many problems, I retain the ability to be able to perceive the world at least as good as I do. It's likewise horrifying that there's no verbal calculus I can go through that will make you understand.
>>98010131Don't scream about it. Take action. Either make a replacement so people forget the bad one, or make a new drive that doesn't have the bad one. Screaming about shit is pointless and it is the calling card of lazy people who point at things they don't like but expect someone else to change. That's DDanon's problem. He talks big, but when it comes time to take action, he becomes lazy and finds excuses to not do anything. His claim to fame is that he made a Mass Effect dupe, and he waves that around like a trophy despite the fact that there are dozens of jumps he has bitched about and not made a dupe for yet.
>>98010162I owe you absolutely nothing. Even remaking my own Jumps, you are not owed. I do it because I can hold myself to a higher standard. We are beyond dupes at this point, as you have simply allowed too many Jumps that should never have gotten on. Even by Quicksilver's initial standards that people like to use against my suggestions, you failed to uphold them. Dupes were inevitable due to quality concerns, but Generics, explicit fanfiction, music videos, CYOA-Inspired Jumps, supplements and more were not. You did this. You are so beyond me in terms of sin.
>>98010145>That the initial guidelines were insufficient and or artificial. So somehow your ruleset is supposed to be complete and natural right? You know, I miss the days when you claimed that you would make your own drive and eventually replace the community drive, or maybe I just became disappointed when you never lived up to your claims and instead settled for making a single dupe then telling people about how much effort you put in. It's sad that for all that noise you made, you put in the least effort out of all the people who claimed to go off and do their own thing. Now you don't even have the integrity to stand by that anymore.
>>98010198>that you would make your own driveI never claimed this. I made the QQ Drive on QQ because nobody wanted to. I then had to leave Jumpchain because that was the first time I narrowly escaped death. With my one Mass Effect Jump and denying Quicksilver, I proved and put more effort into proving that I care more than almost literally any of you. One of the only equals I can think of is whoever did the FF14 remake Jump. You don't get to pretend yo anything when you would never dare do anything remotely the same. You've been arguing this entire time the opposite. I deserve better trolls.
>>98010204Oh right you're now claiming to be a schizophrenic with "mental problems" and you don't remember anything from over a decade ago when you first stormed off. That you would even think making a CYOA is "denying" someone who left the hobby over a decade ago shows how delusional you are. Did you happen to call Quicksilver irl so you could wave it in his face? You made a Mass Effect jump, congratulations. Several people did, so I guess your claim to fame now is that you were the first one? Or did you make the most passionate one?Let's not pretend that making a dupe required some kind of herculean effort. Black Crusade probably took more effort than your dupe. The Fate jumps probably took more effort than your dupe. Even Light of Terra probably required more effort than your dupe. Even ManyFist's WoW jump probably took more effort than your dupe. But given that you don't remember the history from back then, of course you wouldn't remember. Red encouraged people, including you, to make dupes, so let's not pretend that you were doing something brave and stunning either. No one is trolling you here. Expressing disappointment at what you became even though you were in the first generation of jumpmakers isn't trolling you. This is the same old song and dance as it happened over a decade ago where you lash out blindly at people until you stomp off in triumph thinking about how you showed everyone just how right you were.
>two_retards_fighting.jpg
>>98010293Light of Terra and Black Crusade should both be removed for quality and essentially Generic reasons, and Fate is retarded so I don't know anything about Fate. I don't know WoW enough to say either way. You are retarded to pretend I am a monument of all fiction. Also, those Mass Effect Jumps are bad because they either don't get the point of the setting or offer too much. And yes, my making the first dupe and it being a Quicksilver IP does prove my point. Nevertheless, I remain myself. My schiz has nothing to do with my memory, just most of you are social club retarda I ignore.
>>98010301>essentially GenericAs scenario jumps, they're by definition more specific than even default jumps. They're about as far from Generic as jumps can get. They specify not only what you can gain from them but how you can even interact with them. NTA.

>>98010376it depends on what specifically you mean. Jumps like Light of Terra were controversial for more than their being written weird. I distinctly remember people trying to use anti-power draining perks to cheese it. That should probably have been a big enough sign that it shouldn't have gone on the drive. Other people thing that generic Jumps shouldn't be on the drive. Someone people think scenarios are back, but Quicksilver's DBZ Jump is basically a scenario Jump. While I got here well after things were established, just knowing the QS original experience was meant to end with Dragon Ball was enough to tell me that it was a fool's errand to try and approach the premise that way because shounenshit is powerwank/scaling all the way down, especially when the goal is literally THE franchise whose face would be on the meme coin were it minted.
It's a single player imagination game. No one is ever going to make a jumper that actually falls their chain.
>>98011855It isn't. That's like saying what most people do when they play D&D isn't also only homebrew. Very few even read the supplements, they just do what they want or Rule 0. Jumpchain isn't homebrew, and it's not fanfiction. Just because it requires good faith to do, doesn't mean it is these things. It's Jumpchain.
How do you all go about choosing your companions/waifus clothes? When you and the harem squad roll up, are you all synchronized and matching in vibes or a mish-mash of different outfits and types of clothes? If you are a supervillain or the head of an organization, how do you choose your henchmen's uniforms?
>>98011931Doesn't mean that they wouldn't fail. It just means that they think they wouldn't fail. I like Dragon Age, but going to Dragon Age earlier on and thinking you'll do anything other than die is crazy
>>98011939Nah.
>>98012269
>>98011931I think that eventually someone will write a jump with some dumb rule that makes me chainfail. I mean, Light of Terra already has, and I managed to spark only because I reject jumps made in bad faith. But despite LoT being hated, Talons of the Emperor sailed through.
>>98012828Anon jumpchain isn't fucking real.
>>98012973>he didn't get his spark LAUGH AT THIS MAN
>>98011931I did on several occasions because I find it funny for one shots, like my jumper who died one week into pokemon cause of beedrill swarm. Also I occasionally roll for when Jumper takes on significant risks to their life, which as ended badly before.
>>98011931Echoing what the other guy said, I actually do sometimes use d20 or percentile rolls to roughly sum up how things Jumpers choose to do works out for them. I wonder if writefags do something similar
>>98013598They work fine for me to decide if I actually want something to happen in the same way that if I flip a coin on something and am disappointed with the result I know which one I actually wanted.
>>98011931What of anon that died in Pokemon Trainer because he was swarmed to death by Beedrills in his first week? It is an old green text.
>>98011931I kind of made a jumper that failed her chain. She wasn't a self insert it was just a bit of writing. Things progressed and reached a point where she was happy, where it didn't make sense for her to continue so she chose to go back to one of the worlds she had been to previously.
>>98011783And you aren't even doing that, you're just constantly trying to sabotage the hobby and failing then whining about it like a battered fucking woman. You're not just irrelevant, your views are actively rejected by the community REGARDLESS of their legitimately specifically because you're so worthless that disagreeing with you on principle has intrinsic merit. I contributed more to Jumpchain all your jumps combined by sitting on my ass doing nothing today.
>>98014158Wait wasn't it Zubats?
>>98009646>I left more because I said I would, due to circumstances IRL almost killing me twicePerhaps you should have taken the hint.
>>98011931I've had a good number of jumpers die. Then I keep them as fodder for necromancer jumpers.

I dropped my phone while working on a Jump. It formated wrong, saved and closed. I had to copy and paste it into a new document and reformat it by hand because I couldn't figure out how to undo it.

>>98019906I really don't know how to tell you this, and it feels like kicking a man who's all the way down. But you really should've just sucked it up and gone to the bunker. Yeah, there are other problems there. Nobody talks about their own chains since Shard "left", Nyanko/Psycho regularly beg for attention, and they're starting to normalise the small horsie show here. But there are actually meaningful things to talk about there other than DDanon's continuous failure to contribute anything worthwhile to the hobby.
>>98019906Yeah, sadly. It hurt pretty hard when PDFs went away.
>>98020239I didn't break any of my rules, you fucking spastic. I've held the same standards since the start of the hobby. Lewds were inevitable and should've been adopted for regulation, if nothing else. Namefags were scared during the smut purge, and never held honest debate about lewd Jumps. Dupes were inevitable due to quality issues. I have also said several times that you're fucking retards who deserve to suffer because of your own retard choices, and you have done that yourselves. You have allowed all under the moon and the sky on the Drive, and it still happens that people bitch about what you yourselves have done when you think I'm not looking. >>98020300That is my standard. Fucking three people outright said that they're glad old Jumpchain standards are dead, and nobody but me even pushed back against them. That was on top of Jannington perma banning a random anon for nothing. I then ban evaded 12 hours into my not-yet permanent ban to get him unbanned, and he was. I spammed for 5 hours because I wanted to get banned from there because none of you have anything worthwhile to say about Jumpchain anymore. You have destroyed the integrity of the hobby, and you likely never had a yourselves. If I had you all in front of me and started literally beating you with reeds, you would deserve it. If I didn't care about the hobby, I could have just deleted the board and then doxxed all of you. You are all literally lower quality existences than I am, and you hold yourselves to that standard. Moreover, I can start posting over there whenever I want, because I have explicit permission from the site over mods. I leave you in peace by MY choice, but you do deserve me. You exist because you are allowed, I exist because I am care more than you.>>98020320I have posted four Jumps this year. No matter how much you say that, it's objectively just lying. Not that I expect someone with no integrity to not lie.
>>98020389You have no integrity, and deserve everything that's ever gone wrong in your life. Your worthless standards are as abandoned and irrelevant as your jumps.
>>98020389>You have destroyed the integrity of the hobby, and you likely never had a yourselves. So you admit you've lost, and everything you did had absolutely no effect on the hobby. Might as well pay for that transition so you've got something going on in your life.
>>98020517Rage at me all you want. I care more than you. I annoy you more than I am bothered by you. I've been here longer than you. If I am not already better at making Jumps than you, I will be at some point because I am open to and improving. I hold myself and the hobby to a higher standard than you. You can't do anything about me here, and you can't do anything about me there now, either. Jumpchain isn't about your seething about DDAnon, it's about Jumpchain. Crawl home, newfag.

You won't go back to the bunker because you're a little bitch, and both times you tried to stand your base you got spanked until you left. You'll do what you're told, you'll stay in your lane and everything you type will just make people do the opposite of what you want. This isn't an order, it's a prediction. You're lying again because by your own admission, you want the hobby to abide by "standards" and every single thing you do makes people want to reject them. The only way you could claw back any semblance of legitimacy is to swallow your pride. Admit to being a bad person. And apologise for being a fucking shitposter and a hypocrite. But you won't. So you'll never get what you want. You'll just crying, and crying as the hobby abandons you.

>not even a few days in DDAnon is already a tyrant rulesfagSasuga.
Fun MTG fact: ironically for Shard's seethe campaign against Jace's plan to remake the multiverse, Jace has literally become Shard, as in, he's remaking the universe such as that nobody disagrees with him, all his friends have their backstories "fixed" by becoming enforcers of the state and/or killing machines (in ways that completely disregard everything his friends have ever stood for like making Vraska a soldier for the regime that ethnically persecuted her), and he intents to apply this state into the cosmos with violence ignoring everyone telling him it's retarded.
I'm writing a jump for some gay liberal shit, I'll probably put it up for review tomorrow
>>98020623>You are not sophisticatedDon't have to be to clown on you. I remember one anon all those years ago saying how I dare to criticize Quicksilver, as if that means anything.>were ever the most productive or committed jumpmaker either.Which literally means nothing at all against any point of quality or rules I have ever made, ever. i agree that this community is fucked, that's why i just consider all jumps equal no matter where they were made and come here to discuss them only because i am a 4channer and i'm not gonna make a reddit or forum account for this shityou're taking it too seriously good jumps are good or bad regardless of the approval and disapproval of some clique that's been eating its own ass for years
>>98022114I consider all good jumps equal regardless of where they're from, the problem is Reddit is too busy making shit like this:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZF35ieSVLFzpU_PmmDmrViTIm60wFPKv/view
>>98022114>you're taking it too seriously good jumps are good or bad regardless of the approval and disapproval of some clique that's been eating its own ass for yearsYes. I would say Reddit has diverged the most. They got some weird shit over there. What I regret most is Jumps for settings I would genuinely want to go to but have elements within them like the option to just straight supplement for a whole genre. Someone went through all that effort to make a Bordello Jump with four origins, only to add in a broad-spectrum supplement drawback. Then you have Jumps like the Haydee series, where the Jump maker had to crawl through miles of broken Discord glass to make it. Cinema.
>>98022043>the gayest post I've readIs still you pretending to have any say in how this hobby works.>The hobby degrades because you take cheap funThe hobby has always been cheap fun, you just have delusions of grandeur that this means anything. You won't.>the surest wayAll it proved is that everything you do shoots yourself in the foot over and over again. You know what the funny thing is? I agree your Mass Effect jump is actually more comprehensive than the old one. What's absolutely fucking funny is that you sabotaged any chance of whatever point that jump could've made by being such a little bitch everyone rejected you out of spite. You don't seem to understand this because of your arrested development, but you will never get what you want here. Everything you do just makes you more and more of a failure.>>98022063>b-b-but m-my e-existence-Nah, this is basically just kicking a stray dog for me because it's funny. You know why you're full of shit on that? Because I've never spent hours of my life bandodging to find your Discord and fill it with pictures of masked men. Because I have no aspirations whatsoever to take over the bunker. And because, more importantly, I have zero interest in dictating what the hobby is when I can enjoy the premise without demanding everyone else conform to it.If you have this much time to invest bothering strangers over a hobby you could play on your own, your existence clearly bothers yourself more than I ever could. All I'm doing is reminding you this is all for nothing. Nothing you do here matters, and you can no more dictate terms on the community than you can accomplish anything worthwhile with your life.>>98022133>I would say Reddit has diverged the mostWay to point out the obvious.
>>98022241>I can enjoy the premise without demanding everyone else conform to it.You enjoy what was before. What is largely isn't Jumpchain. As i have said time and again, there's no hypocrisy for wanting the default held to a standard.>What's absolutely fucking funny is that you sabotaged any chance of whateverI did nothing. I stated the facts that quality is self-evident and the better should replace the lesser. They said to ask Quicksilver for permission, I told them to fuck off because that's not the point. The hobby isn't about any of us, it's about Jumpchain. Those who cannot separate that don't have worthwhile opinions.>kicking a stray dog>it's funny. You are a nigger, and I am done talking to you. You are generally a mow-IQ, and your trolling is unsophisticated because you haven't been here long enough to know anything. I'm beating off and then going to bed.
>>98022282>You enjoy what was beforeI take things as they are and don't concern myself with what's outside my control, just like I did when I discovered Jumpchain. Your inability to makes you a clown, an old has-been wailing for change that will never come.>It's about JumpchainOn that I agree with you, actually. I just disagree that Jumpchain is a static set of rules dictated on high from the mighty prophet Quicksilver. You clearly disagree since you don't care for his permission, when he came up with the whole thing. The fundamentals of your position are rooted in hypocrisy and conceit.>I am done talking to youYou'll be saying this a lot whenever you get uppity, and prove you can't pretend at integrity without chimping out over and over again . Try to choke on your own tongue while you're at it, third time's the charm!>a mow-IQlollmao even
>>98022297>I just disagree that Jumpchain is a static set of rules dictated on high from the mighty prophet Quicksilver. It literally is. That's why Crossing The Verse isn't Jumpchain despite also being a CYOA about spending 10 years at a time in a series of fictional worlds, gaining more power with each new world.
>>98022687>It literally is.hasn't been for a decade
>>98022722Jumpchain is the collaborative CYOA created by Quicksilver, which people have been adding new DLC documents to for the past decade. If you disagree, go ahead and offer an alternate definition that isn't so vague that it starts covering rival CYOAs like Waifu Catalog.
>>98022114>good jumps are good or bad regardless of the approval and disapprovalThis. Quality by such nebulous metrics was already a subjective thing to begin with so just take that for what it is and use what you wanna use.
>>98022740sure, it was started by quicksilver but has since diverged from him in every meaningful wayit happened the moment the first pokemon or mtg jumps not made by him started being made, but has intensified over the years to the point where the only thing that's still in mostly place is the choice, chain points, and discount structure
>>98022756This shows an extreme ignorance about just how diverse non-Jumpchain CYOAs are. You could take five jumps written in the past year, five other multicross CYOAs, and show them to someone with no experience with CYOAs. They would very easily group together the jumps due to the extreme uniformity of their design and shared rule definitions.
>>98022771which i mentioned?
>>98022297>an old has-been wailing for change that will never come. This is the problem with DD. He actually can make change, especially now that he has this board largely to himself. He always had the ability to make as many jumps as the likes of Gene or WoL, even more considering he is financially set for life unlike both of them and can dedicate his life to Jumpchain while they will eventually have to leave. He always had the ability to make his own drive and determine what gets to go on it. But he chooses not to do any of that and when told this, he screams about how "the rules are the hobby". The community splits, and the people he dislikes leaves for elsewhere. For some inexplicable reason he chooses to chase after them so that he can continue to rant about how the rules are the hobby. They tell him they don't care and they are doing their own thing now, he plugs his ears and continues ranting about how he's going to be the last person here for sure because he loves the rules, the rules are the hobby. Forget jumping, forget jumpmaking, forget having fun, everyone needs to follow his golden rules because the rules are the hobby.
>>98022795You only mentioned>the choice, chain points, and discount structureBut jumps have far more in common with each other than those. A full list of everything jumps have in common with each other would include everything about the jumps while also including references to Quicksilver authored mechanics such as alt forms, the body mode, and the warehouse which may be mentioned in a jump without being otherwise defined. The list of ways we've diverged from Quicksilver would be incredibly brief by comparison. (We don't use age rolls any more and... uhh... *crickets*.)You want to see a jump that actually starts to buck Quicksilver's rules? Go look up Dirge's Final Fantasy X jump with it's Companion exclusive powers added by consulting a fucking Blitzball chart. THAT's the kind of change that is extreme enough that it barely looks like Quicksilver's jumpchain any more.
>>98022835most jumps these days don't seem to mention bodymods, altforms, or warehouses, meanwhile there's also a number of alternative warehouses and bodymods, which shows a divergence in two directions simultaneously away from quicksilver
>>98022855>most jumps these days don't seem to mention bodymods, altforms, or warehousesDrawbacks stating "you lose all powers except bodymod" and Items that "become warehouse attachments" are both extremely common even among recent jumps. Alt form mixing perks are much rarer, as they have always been. What doesn't exist at all is someone making up a new, completely different mechanic for how the form you get works and then writing that mechanic into their jump.>meanwhile there's also a number of alternative warehouses and bodymodsPeople write houserules for these Jumpchain exclusive mechanics, which proves that we're moving away from Quicksilver somehow? I guess, maybe. A little bit. Hey, remember how there was a glut of supplements right at the start of Jumpchain? Things like the Companion Housing or Spaceport ones? Remember how the very early Ar Tonelico jump actually references the Spaceport and includes special mechanics for how they interact? Can you name any jumps from the past year that specifically interact with the NuBee Body Mod in that way?
>>98022879you know what i can't think of? any recent jump that meaningfully referenced jump-chan, pokemon as the first jump, dbz as the last jump, or mtg as what comes after the last jump
>>98022835Seems disingenuous to use Dirge as an example when he is recognized as one of Reddit's worst jumpmakers, and arguably what he makes isn't even acknowledged as jumps in our community.
How do you guys feel about generic cyoa jump?
>>98022114True and based. Now if only we could kill all the "people" making AI slop gen jumps on Reddit so I didn't need to see those ever again.
>>98023164See? As long as you scrape the absolute bottom of the barrel for stuff that has nothing to do with mechanics and which was never actually mentioned in early jumps either, you can come up with ways we're different from Quicksilver. (Seriously, in what context do you think the Flux or Lego Harry Potter jumps would be bringing up the fact that Pokemon Trainer is the first jump?)Here, let me help by pointing out the few mechanics that have actually changed from Quicksilver's original vision:>Lack of age rolls>Followers>Gauntlets>>98023186Without having read it, it seems utterly pointless. There's nothing it could do to adapt a CYOA to Jumpchain mechanics that wouldn't of necessity be so vague that I'd essentially be adapting the CYOA myself.
>>98023186IIRC, it does way more than what I'd want. If I'm gonna be using a CYOA as a jump, I'll adjust things to fit my needs rather than complicating things further with someone's interpretation of how things work.
>>98023215>>98023203i don't think it really adapts a cyoa other than telling you you stay in that cyoa's setting for ten years?
>>98023186It's silly that someone felt the need to make it, but I suppose letting low imagination specimens play around with things Sartre-chads have been doing for ages is a worthy purpose.
>>98023236I don't know, if I make a chain that's casual and full of sartre I might not need it, but sometimes crunchy technicality-driven chains are also fun.
>>98023186It's whatever. Of the three, they each have their own benefits/issues, so the question's more like whether you use them for their specific benefits rather than whether you use them at all to plug regular CYOAs into a chain.
>>98023186Generics should not be accepted as jumps going by the Rules.

I mentioned his FF14 Jump already in this thread, and it's 269 pages. >>98023186It goes against everything Jumpchain is. The closest exception I'll come to is 40k Jumps like Space Marine, Necron, etc because you could just as well add "The Horus Heresy" or "The Infinite and The Divine" and functionally nothing would change from the document itself.
>>98023644Based Driveanon
>>98023724>Dirge was an enormous problem for the longest time because he monopolized multiple settings with literally light novel-length Jumps. I mentioned his FF14 Jump already in this thread, and it's 269 pagesYou're part of the problem for accepting a reddit jumpmaker. His jumps weren't even supposed to be on the drive except for redditors that forced them on. If you had done your job and killed him irl like those hobos you killed, there wouldn't be a "problem" at all. But now here you are trying to pretend that reddit trash was ever accepted.
>>98023954>You're part of the problem for accepting a reddit jumpmakerI didn't fucking accept him. It was during ye old era of people not accepting dupes because you think spiting your face proves you're better than me.> are trying to pretend that reddit trash was ever accepted. It's still on the Drive, as are several of his Jumps.
>>98024030By bringing him up and pretending that he's a jumpmaker which was accepted here at any given time, you are indirectly accepting his jumps. Until you delete those jumps from the drive, you're no better than any of us. Why pretend he was ever a problem at all when no one recognizes his jumps as legitimate?
>>98024057
>>98024030I think you have conveniently forgotten that Dirge actually removed his jumps from the drive and before that, told people to make dupes and replace his jumps since everyone vocal at the time wanted him and his jumps gone. It wasn't until he actually went and deleted his jumps that people screamed because they were convinced no jumpmaker would ever want their jumps removed from the drive. Then he decided to join the reddit community permanently and people stopped caring what he did. So the idea of people not accepting dupes was wrong, it was that people were too lazy until Generic and Heavens came along to make the replacements. Dirge is probably the one point that most people here will agree with you on in that he never should have made jumps for this community, but you also don't remember the history.
>>98024076It ate my mp4.>>98024080>but you also don't remember the history.I was only attentive for half of it. I don't remember when this was, I cannot tell you what I was doing at the time.
>>98024100Then don't pretend to speak as if you know anything about it. You can argue that other jumpmakers had some sort of monopoly, but Dirge wanted nothing to do with this community and was the most active person in removing his jumps from the drive. The only reason the jumps are still there is because there were people who wanted to keep them in order to spite him. Other anon is correct in that he made the majority of his jumps only after leaving this community, something like seventy jumps after he left, hence why he's a reddit jumpmaker and not a /jc/ jumpmaker. If you're going to complain about him you might as well complain about the other infamous jumpmakers from other communities.
>>98024080>if you know anything about it.I don't need to know his cuntfucking biography. I know enough. At the time I am referencing, people were against replacing his Jumps, and frankly they still fucking are because they're still on the Drive. I jumped into the FF folder, counted 4 of his jumps, and stopped counting.>If you're going to complain about him you might as well complain about the other infamous jumpmakers from other communities. If their Jumps are on the Drive, YES. My original point about FF14 was that dupes weren't allowed at the time, and that was on of the casualties. People's argument was it's big therefore good.
>>98024154Your memory fails you then, because the size argument went both ways, as there were just as many people who argued the size made the jumps impossible to use, so they shouldn't have been uploaded. People weren't against replacing his jumps either, they didn't bother because no one cared enough to do it. Were it not for bad actors, those jumps would have stayed removed after he deleted them from Brutus' drive, and never would have made it to DriveAnon's drive. Dupes were allowed with jumpmaker permission and he had openly begged people to replace the jumps because people had uploaded his jumps against his wishes. So no, you don't know anything at all besides whatever you conjured up to suit your narrative of "Reddit Jumpmaker was Big Problem to TG".
>>98024154The irony is that you were the one who convinced him that he needed to delete his jumps from the drive and leave the community, but now you've managed to forget about it completely and just turned a blind eye when people reuploaded the jumps.
>>98024181>Your memory fails you thenIt does not. I had people specifically ask me to remake some of his Jumps because AT THE TIME I AM REFERENCING, it was still a taboo thing to do. That changed later on, no shit, but I remember word-for-word more of my own posts than you'd think. We are both right, but I'm more right bigly.>>98024193I've said before that I don't even engage with settings I don't know anymore. I only realized FF14 was remade this / last year on accident when looking for something else.
>>98024254Yeah, you remember people asking you because Dirge was one of those people, and you were disconnected enough from this place to not understand the context. You also don't realize how short the time frame was which is fair considering you don't even remember what year it happened, but it's not hard to find it all in 4plebs. Dirge started making jumps in March 2015. He left by July 2015 and had already asked people to replace the jumps before that. The only people insisting that it was taboo were the ones who got angry when he deleted his jumps from the drive. Your "enormous problem for the longest time" was literally less than a season.
>>98024299Dirge never asked me shit. And his Jumps still being on the Drive constitutes him being a problem. Especially when settings like FF14 didn't get remade until like 8 years later. Not that I would know anything about remaking things 8 years later.
>>98023186I feel strong dislikeIf you want to use a CYOA on your chain go ahead, you dont need a doc to give you permission, but meta jumps that mess with other CYOAs areinherently a bad idea and impossible to balance.
>>98024314You don't even know when you're talking to Dirge, so not like you're a very reliable narrator in that regard. Again, the problem isn't him, it's that no one had the will to make it. Fun fact, FF14 did have a remake early on, but no one accepted it because it was ironically deemed too short of a jump.
>>98024327>If you want to use a CYOA on your chain go aheadThat's against the Jumpchain Rules.
>>98024367>it's that no one had the will to make itBecause one already exists. It's the same problem with me and Overlord. The Overlord Jump on the Drive does a lot reasonably well, but other things it includes are either not canon or made-up entirely. It just existing with some good is deflating. A fuckload of work vs "good enough". There should he a whole Dragon Lord-blooded origin, and one that focuses on Talents. Not sure what you'd do for a Native Rogue origin. Class Munchkin?
>>98024401nta, but personally I think the Overlord jump on the drive actually kinda sucks at representing the setting in its entirety.Llike you cant even be a local noble or an npc, even if we ignore the inaccuracies in the power system. If it was a standalone fantasy CYOA it would be great though.
>>98024401>Because one already existsThat's a cop out excuse. If someone loves a franchise enough, they would make the jump regardless of whether another one exists. On top of that, as you pointed out, Dirge's jumps were never considered "good enough", they were considered low effort trash that no one wanted to read and did nothing well, so if anything, that should have been more motivation to take up his offer to replace them. Justifying laziness just makes people look even worse.
>>98024181People are not "bad actors" for wanting jumps we already included in our chains to not randomly disappear from the drive.
>>98024436>or an npcYES. People asked me why I bothered letting people be a Pawn in Dragon's Dogma, but you get it. There's neat shit that Area Guardians get. One of the strongest NPCs in the Tomb is an Asura they had to fight taking the Tomb over in the Omake. There's bonuses and shit, and hidden I wanna say like Charisma and Luck.>>98024452It's not an excuse, and frankly the shear size he would put out made me and others not even look at them. I don't care if there's good in it, I'm not reading literally hundreds of pages for a Jump.
>>98024455You are the enormous problem that DDanon is talking about here >>98023724.
>>98024464>hiddenhidden stats*
>>98024464>I don't care if there's good in it, I'm not reading literally hundreds of pages for a Jump.I said there was no good in any of his jumps, which was why the comparison to you and Overlord didn't make sense, because you felt that there was some good in Overlord which justified you not wanting to put in the effort to make a jump. Your reasoning doesn't make sense to any of Dirge's jumps because there was no good in them, Dirge didn't want them uploaded and deleted them, the community hated both Dirge and his jumps, and there was no ban on replacing them. But no one bothered to do it. The idea of "good enough" did not exist to begin with.
>>98024464I wasn't even just thinking in terms of strength but just properly representing the setting. LIke so many of the improtant characters are NPC, to the point they even got their own spin-off manga. Strength Wise its also a solid middle ground between native and player. Also I personally just like the idea of inserting yourself into the power dynamics of the tomb, espeically if you know the truth about Ainz.
>>98024377Show me where in the rules it says that breaking the rules is against the rules.
Rules only exist for the benefit of people who don't have to follow them

>>98026334>Become board owner>Jannington creates another board>I get in trouble for this>Now no owner>Over Mod says don't touch DD unless they misbehave>Jannington can't help but touch DD (too sexy)I now await my justice.
>>98026298Why is Amaterasu posed like that?
>>98026298Is Madoka the jumper and everyone else is companions or is Madoka another companion? Also don't lewd the Sun Goddess wolf like that, at least have her take human form if you are going to do that.
>>98027704Now tell the rest, you bitch and scream and insult the board mod because you cannot control yourself while also screaming you dont even want to be here.Like seriously you could just as easily leave and not waste everyones time.
>>98028040>you bitch and scream and insult the board modSarcasm doesn't translate well over the Internet, but yes, I did not ask. I told.>you cannot control yourself I choose to be this way because it's better than whatever you are.>Like seriously you could just as easily leave and not waste everyones time.People could also just honor their words and roles, but here we are. To be clear, I can still ban evade, but that's not the point I am raising.
Since someone posted about companions. Why don't you all tell me about your jumper's companions in your chain? Custom companions preferred but if they aren't how have they changed on the chain?
