There are modern versions that run on windows 10 and even have many of the new cards in them, but they're a bit janky. The devloper rage quit and nuked them from the internet. You'll have a better time playing Forge Adventure mode, which will run easily and can be configured to have only older cards, only newer cards, or whatever else you want.

came to post what anon above tells you. try the /vr/ archive and youll find old links to shandalar builds that work. love shandalar as much as anyone but forge is probably the better experience nowadays
