>here are the four factions for our wargame
Why did we need this thread again?
>>97960893Republic Faction>idealistic girl next door recruit>chipper bureaucrat in public, jaded and cynical behind closed doors>idol mascotCapitalist Faction:>leather and whip commissar>indoctrinated slave soldier fanatic (you can fix her)>dubious femme fatale spyFrontier Faction:>tacticool sniper tomboy>cocky dropship pilot>milf sergeantTheocratic Faction:>space knight that keeps yapping about honor>spoiled out of touch princess>deranged mech pilot
>>97960901Because OP really wanted to show off his AI slop
>>97960946>>97960901I swear it's not AI :(
>>97961014also adding this in case someone needs it
>>97961014I didn't insist that.I just asked why we needed this thread again, especially since the other one is still up.
>>97960893The way I would do it is just take different eras of history and make them their own factions. I would love to see a well laid out Napoleonics inspired faction in a s setting, like you can have some in universe reason they have to march up close is because formations have "shields" protecting them and the only way to break it effectively is with overwhelming close range fire, so you get napoleonic warfare but in sci fi setting, but also you can then you cross over to the feudalists faction who are more about knights with less uniform outfits and don use those "shields" as effectively as they are not as advanced, so rely more on individual fighters being more capable in melee where their heroes fight in the thick of the battles where the napoleonic factions heroes are more generals who command from the back.Basically, look at historical model ranges, and make factions based on what you could make from those models if they were in the same setting.
>>97961020That is 1000% AI slop. Just look at the wonky eyes.
>>97960946>>97960893Let OP cook. The factions are evolving and we'll have a kino /tg/ written setting within maybe 2-5 more spam threads. Now tell me about your factions OP>What does the imperial theocracy actually believe?>Where the independent frontier always rebels or did they break apart?>Are the Chaotic capitalists work their government?>What makes the republic enlightened?
>>97961622>more settingshitThere's a reason I don't go to /wbg/, you fucking shitsucker.
>>97961622The Empire is one big Christian empire. That’s the main point.**Solar = Rome.**The center. The capital. The big throne.**Imperials = Constantinople.**Space Catholics. Christ is King. Hierarchy is sacred. Order matters because God matters.**Independents = Jerusalem.**Still Christian, still inside the Empire, but they don’t want one centralized throne telling everyone how to live. Think Quebec energy. “We are part of this thing, but leave us alone.”**Chaos = Alexandria.**Still Christian, but weird, corrupt, heretical, rich, slavey, and dangerous. They work inside the system. They don’t want to destroy the Empire for justice. They want to profit from the rot.**Light = Antioch.**The educated border guys. Diplomats, scholars, soldiers, humanists. They deal with other empires, so they had to become smarter and more flexible. Not soft, just less insane. The whole thing is a crucible because nobody fully leaves. They all believe in Christ. They all think they’re right. They all think the others are ruining the Empire.
>>97960893Please delete this thread and never post again.
>>97961622I think of it as just Space Constantinople.
>>97961880>Christian iconography >uses an inferior nip blade instead of the many superior European counterparts God i hate weebs
>>97961886She was enslaved / trained by Space Nobunaga.Space Constantinople never fell to the Space Muslims. They expanded all the way to Space Japan, through the Space Indian Sea.Of course she's gonna' use a Space Katana.
>>97961880>it's just Baiken but different costume and eyepatch on other eye
>>97961937She's actually based on Guts, but it's close. She's supposed to be an "Idol Smasher" type of figure with a gigantic rivalry against Space Persia.
>>97960937You stole this one from the last thread, retard And a lot of those don't even apply to the new factions dumb fucking monkey
>>97961959Yes, of course, the red-haired, one-eyed future samurai with huge tits is based off the muscle dude with an arm cannon and fuck-off sword, not the red-haired, one-eyed future samurai with huge tits. How silly of me.
>>97961043I’d add a trench faction next: shield-bunkers, artillery cults, and commanders who treat movement like, if you've moved? You've failed.
>>97962077Anon. Don't misunderstand me, I see the similarities. It's just that all the references I've used are Guts but then just kind of added a bunch of other stuff over time. She was more like Guts at first, I swear. And then I gave her bigger tits and red hair. I'm just gonna' call the Baiken similarities a happy accident.
>>97960893>adeptus mechanicus>chaos>rogue traders>the inquisition
>>97961829Then don't come here. Stay in the threads you like you buffoon.
>>97961959>She's actually based on GutsDid she get raped by a large black woman?
>>97961829Why don't you just kill yourself already? It's clear your whole life revolves around being a shitstain here, is it really worth living?
>>97962659No. A man.
>>97961959>>97961880>>97962218yeah this is slopola 1000000%
>>97960893Now make them kiss.
>>97960893Love the kind of aesthetics the Theocracy has going on.
>>97961834My brother in Christ….this is unironically pretty good, keep cooking up lore!
>>97960937Which one got the xeno bitches?
>>97962502>tourist shits in the street I walk on my daily routine>me: you nasty fuck, there's a reason I don't go to the Middle East>you: WELL DON'T WALK DOWN THIS STREET THEN
>>97963113I'm not the one posting off-topic shit outside its containment.
>>97963749get some glasses, you chose to walk into the obvious worldbuilding street
>>97960893>Evil CapitalistsIs this implying that the other three factions are commies?
>>97965749why did you replace chaotic with evil, are you a commie?
>>97960893which one has anthro babes
>>97965749Probably using the increasingly common usage of capitalists as "capital owning class". A corrupt state ruled by oligarchs, possibly a loose coalition of megacorps.
>>97965878Because whoever made this made them the evil faction. Who the fuck use the Words "Enlighten" and "Choatic" and not mean Good and Evil? No one but the most brainwashed college kid who thinks he can make the most "DEEP you just don't get it" Story. >>97965926But I'm asking about the other three factions. If the creator is specifically pointing out that This Faction is Capitalist, then that would also imply that the other factions are something other than capitalist, which is fucking retarded. Why not say Choatic MegaCorps?
>>97961834I like the idea but>Constantinople are the Catholics while there's a Rome factionIt's a funny troll if that's the intent though.
>>97966030>not capitalist = communistThis is unironically a huge problem in politics, not picking on you personally.>feudalism>syndicalism>anarchism (I know, but it's an option)>distributism>clan based or primitive
>>97960893These are just the factions from Eve Online.
>>97966030The creator is using capitalist to mean greedy exploiter because they're a zoomer American. The other factions not being capitalist doesn't make them communist in their mind, it just makes them not greedy exploiters.
>>97966120>The creator is using capitalist to mean greedy exploiter because they're a zoomer American. What else could it possibly mean in this context?
>>97966185...they use an economic system involving the trading of capital?
>>97965899I understood the basedbinkie reference.
>>97966208Okay, but consider it in the context where the others don't have economic systems as part of their names.
>>97961043I like the idea of just checking historical model ranges and tring to fit them into one sci fi setting. I feel like that would be an effective way to reference visuals. Far too much sci fi is either just warhammer or modern with more light effects.
>>97960893Are those all the factions? If not you should add communist crime syndicade
>>97966234how does a crime syndicate even work as an independent faction
>>97966185Well if you were using the proper definition capitalism when describing a faction, it would just mean they have property rights and freedom of citizens to engage in enterprise and buy and sell derivatives. In short, a modern liberal democracy with a civilian sector and likely a middle class. It would imply the other factions are command economies; communist, feudal, or fascist.
>>97963477Axeknight is objectively the right choice.
>>97966251Capitalism isn't automatically democratic. You're now projecting into this a whole lot of things that are separate from the basic "economic system involving the trading of capital" you started with.
>>97966271I mean that's true in theory, but you can't really give civilians economic freedom while witholding political freedom.A lot of freedoms are related. Starving peasants are unable to change their lot, but an educated middle class has enough power to demand more.Either you give it to them, or you're forced to take away what they have in your efforts to repress them.Undemocratic states don't keep their free markets. They become oligarchies as the ruling class hoard economic power.Your capitalist faction COULD be undemocratic if it's actively in decline and not going to be capitalist for long.
>>97960893I find it very hard to believe that a world multipolar enough to have extremely distinct factions could be anything but capitalistic across the board just as a baseline. Anyone not trading competitively is at an extreme disadvantage, this is why china is fiercely capitalistic despite being self proclaimed communists. The existence of any other system implies that faction already won and there's a monolithic hegemony, or the other factions are so radically different trade and relations just aren't possible like in 40k.
>>97966323You absolutely can fuck around with freedom while keeping economic freedom. Personal freedoms can be repressed while economic ones are suppressed. One segment of the population can have all the economic freedoms they could want while the other ninety percent of non-citizens can be slaves. Etc. Those are all still valid forms of capitalism by its definition.
>>97966349I suppose in fiction anything is possible.
>>97966242Mercenaries, turncoats and criminals working for common cause, they could either be a parasite on society of some background state, in which they call all the shots, or just go full on mafia state and have them work as cartels, so a combination of full on occupied territory and more underground smuggling and trade routes. Since they are commies they wouldn't really work for profit, what binds them together is ideology, all the profits go either to export of revolution abroad or fortifing positions they already occupy. You could even theme possible sub factions around specific historic movements and criminal organizations. Your Stalinist Russian Mafia, Trotskist American Mafia, Maois Triads, Juche Yakuza and Cartel Guevarism, all of them working for common goal in spite of their differences.
>>97966366no, at the point they're sovereign they by definition aren't criminals anymore, you can't have that as an independent faction, it would have to be a subfaction in one of the other ones
>>97960893Don't forget the Soviets right the fuck out of nowhere.
>>97960893NGL I'd rather be the guy with the pimp cane than any of the other leaders.
>>97961834>chatgpt slop
>>97965749I didn't make anybody evil, or the antagonist. They are more like: >>97961834Basically they're Political Parties inside a large Empire, and they can't fight each other directly because they are nominally working under the same throne.I think the Capitalists are more like Hive-City, Chem-worls scum whose biggest import is manpower and corruption.Their end-game is basically "A ruling class rules over a bunch of hive gangers and they're all borderline heretical"
>>97966234I think the communists are more like a Xenos faction because the factions so far are all meant to be like "different brands of dumbass rightoids (said in a good way". Like how proper communist and socialist parties don't actually exist IRL in many places. If anything I'd guess the Imperial Theocracy would be quote-unquote the closest thing to a Communist party only because they believe in donating lots of money to Space Poorlandia, opening food services for the poor, missions, being patient with their neighbors etc etc.But obviously they wouldn't be "culturally a commie". More like just "deeply Christian" or some would say "Christ-cucks (said in a positive manner".

>>97960893Can you stick to the slop general?

>>97966360Just call them out for being a NPC commie fag. Playing nice and letting them think their viewpoint is "valid" is the reason they're a bunch of them around to ruin everything they're in.
