Killian Halcorr is the name of a mysterious executive on the table of the Trade Federation Directorate, and one of the architects behind the ongoing blockade of Naboo. The truth behind this persona can be understood when one gazes into the black-pitched well of his soul. He's a leader of a coven of warlocks and Dark Jedi serving the mutual interests of the surviving Sith, and he came to this harsh life from humble beginnings as a breeding slave from Dathomir. Being born in the Nightsisters clan meant that they would never respect him, nor give him an ounce of that mystical knowledge he desperately sought. But a carefully placed Holocron, thrust into his hands by a third party, allowed him to tap into his potential and overcome his inferior masters.

Killian seeks to gather worthy students and use them to conquer Dathomir and its sorcerous secrets, and then raise his own empire that would match the glory and terror of the past Sith Empires. My initial idea was just a duellist focus padawan who was recruited relatively late and comes from a planet with a strong noble/duelling culture and stories from back then which he somehow still clings to are what pushed him into that focus. Looking at suitable planets, I found Serrano. And then I read more on it and Dooku's backstory and realised I'm essentially just making young Dooku...

Okay to still keep a martial padawan theme (I'm basic like that), I'm thinking about switching from duelling into "tank", and I was thinking about making a sort mandalorian jedi with a beskar armor. If I read properly, Mandalorian Civil War ended about 19 years before our MP, which would be just right for a padawan age. The idea is that he's an orphan from that war, who got recruited by the jedi due to his force sensitvity, and the beskar armor he has belonged to his father who fought on the True Mandalorian side and was delivered to him when he grew up by his uncle who fought on the Death Watch side. Would that make sense or would beskar armor still be too precious to make sense with thatbackground?

While the divine third eye likely helped demonstrate her authenticity, it was ultimately her use of extreme violence in quelling rebellious spirit and cultist activity that allowed her to rapidly ascend the ranks, reaching the position of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Exorcist Bureau. None of her claims of celestial descent have heretofore been confirmed or denied by the ministers of King Yama, but her elevated soul and mastery of the deadly art of Spirit Subjugation have earned her legitimacy in the Cult of Yama.

In the field, she is generally disliked by most exorcists for her liberal use of "enhanced interrogation" to extract information from suspected cultists and collaborators, taking great pleasure in the hunting and subjugation of spirits for the purpose of serving as her courtiers. Her dedication to justice has been named obsession by many, and one wonders what she does outside of work...

I just read the description again, you don't HAVE to be vituous, but it gets stronger the better your karma is. So he can be a piece of shit and still use the blade, but then the sword is going to be super weak. It's also the "older brother" blade so that plays in with what you guys are going for. Well, since you asked. My idea was playing on the fame of the sword and how good the other character is supposed to be, both morally and martially. Since he wants to pretend to be good what better way than having the famed blade that vanquishes evil? So he keeps it even if it sucks. On the other hand he can afford it because he's just so good that he doesn't need a good weapon so it doesn't matter to him. This plays into the part where he's supposed to be an unachievable dream for your character, he's still that strong despite nerfing himself.

This would also play in the favour of the rivalry, against most it would suck, but against you specifically it would become a good sword because your character is still more evil. So your character has to work even harder, which creates a feedback loop. Who knows, maybe being too close to losing against you could even trigger a change of heart and turn that other guy good, to try and widen the moral gap.

It's usually mundane earth since this realm is pretty far behind in terms of general knowledge and comboing history could be used to give yourself a higher tech level compared to the setting. You could reflavor history to being nonmundane world, and have the effect be that you know about the dynasties and bloodlines enough to get a leg up on politics. She lacks the multitude of consciousnesses, but the idea of many forming one isn't too distant from her ideal of dissolving herself into pure energy. The build is the hyper regen Flow I kept posting about working on last thread, and the character idea is an Insurgent who is the right hand man of a cult sect worshiping the tattered remnants of their Patron with the hopes of restoring them back to full strength and take over the City, and in the meantime striking down prominent Spirits and organizations to sow dissent and chaos.

I was thinking of having Koban as a rival seeing as he's an Overseer with enough strength and durability to make both going all out possible, and also because my build uses a sword as well despite not being naturally skilled in it or complementing his abilities. I looked at Nagomi too as I think it'd be interesting to put her mastery over Aura against his raw output. I was also considering Chitragupta but it didn't seem to work as its more likely to function as a rival to them. Similarly, Hajun seemed interesting as a essentially immortal being, but I wouldn't have a reason that'd make them a rival unlike the Overseer and Exorcist.

Couldn't really think of the third to slot in however, as I don't want to really double dip in certain groups like having multiple Overseers and such. Maybe I'll just have to wait a little bit longer to see if any other builds shake out as I know people are still discussing and finishing theirs.

Yeah I was making a new sect using Magmatic. He's technically the "leader" by being the strongest member and the one who donates the most Aura but it's ran by the Patron essentially. I don't mind hearing out any ideas since I'm mainly just wanting some interesting dynamics.

My idea is a cult worshipping an unwilling and unaware god, which is the build. The build also flow based. Your guy could see my build as a kind of rival god to his, with the organizations seeing each other are obstacles. My guy is not exactly an hero of justice but would be interested in your cult for other reasons too, mostly secrets and old knowledge, so the rivalry wouldn't be totally one sided, but it would be for different reasons.

I think that's pretty interesting, could make for a good Nemesis sect too if they have one. I'll probably hold onto posting my build to workshop some background bits more, but I'd be down with that. It'll make for a good spread between Overseers, Exorcists, and Spirits in my rivals if the others are fine with me adding them.

Can I add beskar modification to the main lightsaber or would I have to take an extra for that? I kinda like the crossguard design but it has to have some real trickery to fully make sense otherwise. And speaking of the crossguard saber, would making that require taking Other Lightsaber design or is it too standard for that? Maybe just Dual Phase but it's the "side" that's get adjusted?

It says you can purchase the reinforcement for any of the "above equipment" and extra lightsaber is one of them so I don't see any reason you can't have a beskar lightsaber.

That having been said, I think all that should be included in the "other" lightsaber variant.

I was thinking of making it where my build is the one purposefully trying to foster these rivalries against himself. He's instigating people with specific archetypes as a way of self-improvement, at the recommendation of his Patron. Koban works as an opposite with his personality and affinity to make my build go out of his comfort zone, Logan serves as an equal as he has similar circumstances and output to compare himself to, and Nagomi would be the master in the field of Flow to constantly push himself to move higher.
