Before the town’s bells rang for noon, a procession of warriors crossed the town square in grim silence. Yet theirs was not the bearing of mourners. In truth, their arrival marked a victory—one not everyone yet was aware of. It was Captain Andrenn Sunblaze and his company of knights, carrying the severed head of the vanquished beast. The sight proved to all skeptics that the danger had been real—but was no more.

Not long after their arrival, the Lord Magistrate addressed the townspeople, presenting the grim trophy before the gathered crowd. He praised the brave warriors of the Sun for their triumph and officially lifted the town’s lockdown, restoring unrestricted travel and the free movement of goods.

My current mega-campaign is really six campaigns in one. The "prologue"/Session 0 had the six players playing orphans raised together in an orphanage in a small town, from the age of 10 to 18 (over the course of five sessions) and their relationship with the grandfatherly priest that ran the orphanage, the wealthy count that adopted them, and the family crisis that ended up splitting them apart, scattering them to the far corners of the world, in search of learning their true identites/heritage.

Pic related is the priest, the Count, and the six orphan PCs.

Campaign #1 follows the journey of the young paladin orphan, who is sent to the kingdom of Machten, a place where the undead are the majority, and have been fighting a (losing) war against (aztec-themed) ogre invaders from another continent, who see undeath as blashpemy and sacrilige. A unique form of necromancy is practiced here, as it is their only remaining means of forming an army capable of holding back the enemy.

Searching for clues to his parentage, the young paladin learns (well, IS learning) of a grand conspiracy involving the church, the monarchy, the catalyst for the ogre invasion, and hia father's role in it. But with each new revelation, he and his newfound friends (the other 5 players' new characters for this campaign, as their orphans are scattered to other places) find themselves in greater peril, from the very government they thought existed to protect them.

Pic related is the 18-year old paladin orphan, and a random assortment of allies and antagonists from his campaign.

>>
>>97977041
Campaign #2 follows the now-adult witch orphan, who finds himself in the realm of Malvostir, where a sinister cult has usurped control of the kingdom and summoned their dark god into the land...or have they?

While the Annelid appear victorious, having seemingly have ousted or murdered the monarchy, and claim the material presence of their dark god enshrouds the kingdom in darkness and madness, their stranglehold over Malvostir is not yet absolute. For there exists an ancient and powerful witch in Malvostir, who has claimed the land as her own for centuries; by her own hand was the Annelid's final ritual interrupted, and their dark god held at bay from manifesting entirely in this world.

The Annelid seek to destroy this ancient hag and complete their final ritual, while the young witch orphan, and his new adopted family (all five other players made brothers from the same family), seek to help him pursue the truth of his lineage, and his link to the Annelid cult, all while fleeing from the Worms that Walk and other horrors of the cult, who know exactly who he is, and the threat he poses to them.

Campaign #3 involves the druid orphan sent to the city-state of Merudo, in the Gunpowder Gauntlet (an Age of Sail-adjacent region I've run multiple campaigns in), decades after the conclusion of a regional war against time-lost survivors of a long-dead empire that wielded magic and technology only speculated upon my historians and archaeologists. As a result of this conflict, the remaining sapient constructs (think Warforged/Shield Guardians) that once formed the bulk of the lost empire's army have been released from the dominion of their former masters, and have been wrestling with their newfound freedom and autonomy.

The druid orphan quickly learns the identity of his parents: his mother (a PC from a previous campaign) having somehow already passed away from old age, and his father, an immortal heirophant druid (also a PC from that campaign, who married the other PC in game), who hasn't been seen for yeara, although his presence and influence is still felt within the bones of the land.

Couple all this with a Queen of Merudo seemingly abdictating the throne and disappearing into the night, a brewing civil war between the Meridians and the nascent Mannathi (construct) civilization, an increase in pirate activity in the Gauntlet (both air and sea), and powerful relics from the ancient empire falling into all the wrong hands, and lastly, finding out how this 18-year old orphan is somehow the son of a woman who was nearly 70 when he would have been conceieved, are all mysteries he will need to unravel.

Campaign #4 sees the goblin alchemist orphan venture to the Unconquered Lands: a vast, inhospitable archipelago that the few surveyors and expeditions that have returned from report vast wealth and resources ready to be claimed, but multiple colonies have failed to establish a permanent foothold.l, succumbing to famine, exposure, or mass slaughter by the monstrous inhabitants (including goblins, but also many worse things the deeper you venture inland) that make this region their home (this was the plot and result of a campaign from ages ago).

Another expedition to the Unconquered Lands has been dispatched from Teshar, this time bolstered by the might of an allied Meridian fleet, intent upon suppressing all enemy resistance through oppressive firepower, and one of the largest marine landing forces in history. Unfortunately, numbers and firepower are no match for the corruption rooten in the heart of this forgotten land.

Somewhere in the unexplored reaches of the Unconquered Lands lies the ruins of an ancient elven city, where the last immortal guardian, plugged in to and feeding upon the magical leylines that converge there, sustaining his existence since before recorded history, has begun to descend into some form of arcane dementia. As his grip on reality begins to wane, the very reality of the lands that surround his former kingdom begin to wane as well, shifting between the past, the present, and a madman's vision of the future. And at the place where time, memory and magic converge, the goblin orphan will learn of his father's sacrifice to not only save his son, but to find a cure for the lich's madness, before everyone is "forgotten" out of existence.
>>
>>
>>97977929
Campaign #5 sees the monk orphan in Aphryssa, in the small farming village of Ouranos, far removed from the capital city, where the Gorgon Queen's will is absolute.

In the City of Masks, everyone wears a unique porcelain mask that declares ones family, profession, and caste/rank, at all times, and no one is allowed to show their true face to the Queen for fear of inciting her jealous wrath, as well as for their own personal protection from a stray glance from her, the Gorgonnath (city guards) or members of the Porcelain Court.

In Ouranos, the monk orphan begins his search for his family, with only half of a broken mask as a clue. His journeys will lead him to find a mask-maker in exile, a secret society fomenting unrest and resistance against the tyrannical Queen, an uneasy partnership with a criminal syndicate against their enemies, the followers of Maligenii, demon of greed (who despite their similar interests, do not share power, influence or wealth), and the revelation that the orphan, who was slain by the Queen's forces as a child, was rescued from the underworld by his father (the owner of the broken mask), who paid the ferryman's toll, and made an infernal bargain to trade places with his murdered son.
>>
>>97978059
Lastly, Campaign #6 sees the barbarian (werewolf) orphan appear in Doodungaree: a running joke of a region (for 20 years) that I decided to make canon on my world: an amalgam of the Australian Outback, the Old West/Deadlands and the Lost World (dinosaurs).

[This is the "anything goes" campaign, where everyone's character idea that didn't fit anywhere else got slapped together.]

Falling in with a ramshackle band of cryptid-killing bounty hunters, led by the boisterous Giff, Brig. Gen Clayton Thunderfoot, of the Meridian Expeditionary Forces (retired, of course), together they will seek out and hunt down the most lucrative (and dangerous) monster bounties, while trying to keep the party together everytime their time-slipping leader Clayton vanishes on them, as well as dealing with whatever new monstrosity he brings back with him (Clayton has a "Time Traveler's Wife"-like condition where he is not firmly anchores in time, as the result of shit that happened in the first campaign in Campaign #3's region, MANY years ago).

Eventually, after exposure to a particularly large temporal anomaly (most likely caused by Clayton, somehow), the entire party will be pulled along with their leader through time, to a prehistoric Doodungaree where, after rescuing a primitive woman from certain death (and accidentally returning with her to the present, the orphan will learn the true identity of his mother...as well as the identity of the person who left his infant self on the doorstep of the orphanage where he was raised (spoiler alert: he brought his own infant self, knowing he would be raised safe there).

I had an idea to ask GPT to brainstorm campaign ideas where it has to write its output as a bunch of idea-imps with distinct personalities and a wizard-author arguing over what the setting should include next. Hard to say if it actually made the AI more creative as was the goal, but it was funny to read characters arguing about what should get added to my universe.

The speech was mostly aimed to appease townsfolk who were speaking against the magistrate and imposed lockdown. Gors and brays might've been mentioned in general as "forest dwellers", as not every elf was aware of a difference between them.

And honestly, when I was making this segment, I wasn't thinking about gors being mentioned by the magistrate.

For giving the AI an image to use as a basis for the style is it better to use one image, make a collage or try uploading several images?
>>
>>
>>97979331
I don't know. Let's do an experiment!

This first pic is made using the four-pose "style guide" image collage I created for my techpriestess during Sora's final week and the following prompt:
>Create a wide-angle image set in a gothic industrial laboratory with Adeptus Mechanicus iconography. In the foreground, there is a techpriestess based on the woman in the uploaded image. She is assembling a cyborg at a mechanical lab table. In the background, there are green-screen computer terminals and dangling conduit cables. The scene is harshly lit in cold light from electric arc lamps on the walls. This image is fantasy concept art, rendered in a painterly style, with chiaroscuro, rich colors, and strong contrasts.
>>
>>97979444
>>97979331
Now, this second pic is made using the exact same prompt, but with three separate reference pics of the character in similar poses chosen from among my older gens.

As you can see, it's got considerably more visual noise, suggesting multiple reference pics fucks with the AI.
>>
>>97979461
>>97979444
>>97979331
And now for the final part of the experiment. The bulk of the prompt is the same, but in place of the phrase "based on the woman in the uploaded image," I just described the character in text form, with no reference image at all.

As you can see, the image quality itself is clearly "cleaner" than even the single-reference version. Which would suggest that as long as you can come up with a text prompt for what you want, you're going to be better off not using a reference pic.
>>
>>97979331
Depends on what you want.
>>
>>
>>97979489
>>97979461
Is it possible to use Chat GPT to extract a text prompt from an image? Like, upload an image to the chatbot and ask it to compose a prompt that would generate a similar image?
>>
>>97979571
Yes.
But ChatGPT can be pretty retarded about when and when not to generate images, so I prefer Claude to do that.
>>
>>
>>
File: Test.jpg (1.58 MB, 1440x2000)
1.58 MB JPG
>>97979571
Time for another experiment. I fed the top image into the AI, and it gave me the following prompt:
>A grand 18th-century European capriccio landscape painting in the style of a classical veduta. On the left, a monumental Baroque church with a massive domed roof, ornate towers, columns, statues, arched windows, and richly carved stone details dominates the scene. The church is bathed in warm late-afternoon sunlight, with deep shadows emphasizing its architectural grandeur. In the foreground, villagers rest and play beside a calm river: children, a seated woman in rustic clothing, a small dog, and a figure leaning on the grass. Across the water, a rider on horseback approaches broad stone steps leading to the church. On the right, a large leafy tree frames the composition, beside a stone fountain where a person waters a pale horse. The middle distance shows a small European town with red rooftops, church spires, ruins, and a distant palace or castle on a hill. Beyond it, soft blue hills and a glowing horizon fade into atmospheric perspective. The sky is pale blue with delicate pink and cream clouds. Highly detailed oil painting, balanced classical composition, warm golden light, serene pastoral mood, realistic architecture, fine brushwork, 18th-century European landscape, museum-quality old master painting.

Running that back through the image generation, it created the bottom image. Pretty damned close.
>>
>>97976913
What do the moon-runes say?
>>
>>97979571
I use Joy Caption for image to text. It has lots of options and works pretty well.
The text for >>97978736

This is a highly detailed digital illustration of a mythical creature, a centaur-like figure with demonic features, set against a plain gray background. The creature has a powerful, muscular human upper body and a strong, black equine lower body with hooves. Its skin is a deep, reddish-brown tone, and its face is contorted in a fierce expression, with sharp teeth visible. The figure has long, black, braided hair that flows behind it, and large, curved, golden horns protruding from its head.

The creature's upper body is adorned with intricate, gold armor that has dark, ornate patterns. The armor includes a chest plate, shoulder guards, and arm guards. The creature's right arm is raised, holding a large, double-edged axe with a metallic, silver blade and a golden handle. In its left hand, it holds a smaller, curved dagger. The creature's lower body is equipped with a brown leather saddle, decorated with gold and red accents, and a long, flowing black tail.

The texture of the creature's skin and fur is highly detailed, giving it a lifelike appearance. The overall style of the illustration is realistic fantasy, with a focus on intricate details and textures, capturing the mythical and powerful nature of the creature.
>>
>>
>>97975542
I went looking through the saved files for the story, and Kastrerande has always had a human face even if she varies from black to tan, fur body or human skin. All the gors are goats, minotaurs moose, but centigors just had human faces.
>>
>>
>>97979739
I find it interesting that the prompt Chat GPT gave you separated out the style description into two parts that sandwich the actual content of the image. Like, the first sentence is a general "genre" descriptor, while the last sentence has all the detailed stylistic language. I've always put both those parts as a combined sentence at the end of the prompt, and I wonder if that's been harming my gens.

There was a tendency to make them look just like the actresses from Jackson'smovies. After instructing it to "Use descriptions from Tolkien's books, rather than the films." it's still obviously heavily influenced by the character designs from the movies, but managed to make them at least not be 1:1 appearance from the movies. Though honestly Tolkien's descriptions of the characters aren't terribly detailed other than being very beautiful.

Once Senna had started the twisting, Celia found her spell infinitely easier to control. Finally able to open her eyes she watched horrified as ancient magic tore the woman in front of her apart. The tattoos writhed like worms crawling under her skin, burrowing and twisting causing obvious pain. The scars on her head appeared to release the runic writing in a puff of green haze that floated down to the magic circle causing it to spark and sizzle. It took nearly 10 minutes of watching this torture before Senna collapsed with a sigh, all the runes pulled from her body and the scars deeper than before.

>He has been loosed. Help me up, I need to return to the forest before his fate is decided.

Celia rushes to help her up, noticing already the runes were just faintly beginning to write themselves across her skin once again. Together they make their way back into her lodging where Senna puts on her disguise. Quickly as they can they race to the edge of the city. Just as they exit through the agreed upon, accidentally unguarded, gate Celia gasps in fright, stumbling to the ground. In the distance, barely visible for a second as it trotted into the forest was a large demonic centigor carrying a blood soaked sword. Senna turns to look at Celia while quickly removing the clothes. As she hands them over, Senna whispers as quietly as possible in her ear.

>Stay in your room or the tower, and never be alone outside until a bray I send says its safe. They will tell you the white crow sings.

Senna can barely walk as she moves away. Drawing upon some unknown power her bray-staff grows from the ground and her antlered skull emerges from under a stone. She places the skull adorned with long platinum hair on her bald head and slowly hobbles her way towards the same place Kastrerande entered the forest.

Notes wise that's the gors side done. Townies want more respect, but they're willing to put in the work.

I've been experimenting with a method I call "Paper Dolling". Basically what I do is, I have my AI agent create an image of my character based on a description and stats. Then I have it create images of them standing upright, facing forward with their arms by their side. Then, I also have it create an image of them in their underwear.
Then, as my actual game goes on, I change the character's equipment to reflect what's going on in game. Usually I wait for a major equipment change, first. But then I save each individual piece of equipment for later use and slowly build a library of compatible armors, weapons, and equipment.
