The types of decks/strategies that do well in constructed are extremely different from the types of decks/strategies that do well in limited, especially now with JotC moving toward hyper fast formats and retarded value engines that demand removal immediately.I would genuinely suggest finding a limited environment that you like and just drafting for a while to build up a pool of cards and then creating a cube of your favorite limited cards so you can draft for free with curated selections of strategies you like. This requires 4-7 other friends though which can be difficult to organize.

There are lots of fun synergies between colleges (I had a sweet deck that used Killian's Confidence to trigger all the RW cards that cared about a card leaving the graveyard).; For constructed I think you should avoid standard unless you have people to play with that aren't going to be using tiered decks. Current standard is a complete shitshow. Actually I don't know any constructed formats that aren't complete shitshows right now but I admit that I haven't followed Modern or Legacy in a while.The second best way to play Magic is to build your own cube but that is time consuming and requires a good understanding of deck construction and limited/draft.

Anyone who is crying about using a reference (even as directly as shown in a working version) isn't an artist. Period. That being said, the fault lies on both sides here. Dan, for submitting the wrong version (regardless of his process during design) and WotC for actually approving it without any diligence. I worked as a graphic designer for years and the amount of times that a company would submit their art for a new billboard, we pull them into a meeting and their entire marking board of directors discuss and view it for an entire hour with us, all of them sign off on it, we start printing them later that day and a week later when one of them actually gets put up we get a phone call saying "HEY THATS THE WRONG VERSION FUCKHEAD" when it is 100% the version they gave us and all signed off on is way more common than you think.
