Anyone remember this game? After years of silence following the 2020 beta, Warcradle announced back in October that they are in fact working on a re-release of Firestorm Armada. They've uhhh got Cruddace working on it now, with a release expected some time next year.I made a thread about this game a few years ago, but I've never really seen it talked about other than that. I played it a fair amount with my group just a bit before Spartan imploded back in 2017. I always thought the models themselves were good quality with very distinctive language between the different factions. Unfortunately they are pretty much impossible to find nowadays. The game itself was kind of ass and the fluff was barely a thing, with what I remember of it being a bit strange and not really making a lot of sense. But, this predated Dropfleet and was years after BFG was abandoned by GW, so it was really the only spaceship game on the market at the time, for a long time (which Spartan naturally completely squandered through schizophrenia).Since there's not really anything else to talk about, what are some people hoping for with the reboot? The models are kind of the only thing I really liked about the game, so ever since Dropzone released I'd had a vague fantasy of adapting FSA's ships to DFC's rules, but from what I've heard DFC 2E kind of sucks.
All I know is the models looked cool and it vanished years ago

>>97985763Aw shit. I've still got my rulebooks and Terran Alliance Fleet, and I'm pretty sure my old boss has his Directorate fleet. I had a bunch of fun playing this, but it was absolutely a 1st edition ruleset that needed a ton of refinement. I genuinely hope they get their collective shit together, I'd like to play this again... 12 years, three states and 1100km's later.
