>be me
>have OCD
>all must be perfect, proportionated, in the right place
>scifi and fantasy armors
>this mess
>get an intense burnout sensation
>have to stop watching it
I don't know how to fix it.
>>
Ok, that is what you don't like. Now we narrow it down even further. What do you like?

>be me
Skill issue.

Thanks for the advice-question, anon. I guess it's minimalistic aesthetics.
You don't need too many details, just a good color/s, full body suit or armor, and (in the case of Spiderman and Venom) so how great human anatomy is ("It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable").

My favorites are Symbiote Spiderman and Blue Venom, so simple and yet so perfect.

So skin tight suits and stuff like that? Beyond the superhero genre, like you already mentioned, try looking at mass effect for sci fi, and as a blend of fantasy and sci fi I would actually tell you to check out warframe

Also, Silver Surfer, I can't believe I forgot about him, he has amazing minimalistic aesthetics too.
>>
And in case you are wondering, you can use GURPS for those.

>have to stop watching it
... what?
>>
>>97999650
I already checked both, I didn't like either, too overdetailed.

I guess I'm also too utilitarian, my logic is if it's not used, don't wear it. Example: your pic of Excalibur,
>why the different mass in forearms than in the rest of the arms? (again, proportion is key)
>why all those lines?
>why the lights?
>why that color pattern?
I think the worst part of the "try-to-but-not-real minimalism" is the lines, I have seen some many suits and armors that try too hard to give you "minimalistic vibes" and for not (aesthetical) reason at all, they draw lines on them.
Again, I will have no problem if those lines represent the gaps between different parts of an armor, but when the armor is set in a ultra-advanced scifi or high fantasy world that has flexible metals (or other materials to fabricate armors), why not simply create a one-piece full body armor?

>GURPS
Excuse my ignorance, what means it?
What does that have to do with aesthetics?
>>
>>97999670
When a disproportionated armor appears in a game or show, I stop playing it or watching it.
>>
>>97999696
Then 40K Imperium assassins, but those rely heavily on accesorizing their outfit with gear, so they probably are not for you. I'm afraid I don't know of art inside your specific niche, outside of some super hero costumes.
>>97999702
GURPS is a universal RPG, so you can use it to run whatever. Since you want to have form fitting armor like that, try looking into the Ultra-Tech book, even if I heard it's not great. Also, GURPS in general is not praised for its art.
>>
>>97999696
Your venom suit is covered in useless veins. They're just bioorganic greebles.
>>
>>97999711
You seem to have entirely misunderstood how games of the imagination work.
>>
>>97999757
>useless veins
I agree, the good thing is there is art of Blue Venom without them, and nevertheless, one could argue that veins would still make sense since Venom is an actual organic being that do symbiosis.

>>97999775
Don't get me wrong, I get the "free imagination" and all that, but in the end your soldier must be able to run, move, flip, etc. properly, and most of this "armors" make that impossible, and again, they look absolutely ugly (for me, ofc, I get that for you they may look cool, which it's ok).
>>
>>97999809
>How does it works?
The system itself is simple, you just roll 3d6 and check the required number to count success or failure. It gets as complicated as you want on top of that because you can keep adding rules in a modular way. The simplest version is literally one folded A4 sheet.
>>
>>97999731
>Then 40K Imperium assassins
>they probably are not for you.
True, even the female assassins has those damn lines in her suit. The male assassins fail each one in the things I hate the most
>left assassin, some parts cover, others not, why? we don't know; also the things above the eyes
>center assassin, unnecessary and disproportionated skull-helmet with its own disproportionated gadgets
>right assassin, those (stormtrooper-like, the worst part of its helmet) tubes that could be inside the mask-helmet

>I'm afraid I don't know of art inside your specific niche,
Np, anon, thanks for the help.

>outside of some super hero costumes.
I think it's kinda funny and ironic how some people hate "superhero" suits, when if you check how armor has evolved IRL, all tends to be more minimalistic and simple, aka easy to mass-produce and wear it, so no matter where the soldier is and it was circustances he's in, he's always ready for action.

>GURPS is a universal RPG, so you can use it to run whatever.
How does it works?

>GURPS in general is not praised for its art.
Sad to heard that.

>try looking into the Ultra-Tech book
Ok, thanks.
>>
>>97999834
Ok, thanks, I will check it out.

Also, I had to delete my previous post since I made a grammatical mistake and 4chan doesn't allow to edit, my OCD kicked again. It's already reposted.
>>
>>97999843
Good luck on your search anon. If you don't get anything else, check out the superhero systems, they should have a general around here.
>>
>>97999866
Thanks, fellow anon.

>check out the superhero systems
Do you know some guides?

>they should have a general around here.
Ok, I will check.

Have a nice day.

>have to stop watching it
TTRPGs aren't something to "watch".
>>
>>98001162
Anon, it's not so difficult to understand
>game, I stop playing it
>show or film, I stop watching it
OPicrel is mostly shows or games, that have their TTRPG versions.
>>
Bump just in case someone post more recommendations.
>>
Was gonna recommend Raised BY Wolves, but the badguys have pauldrons
>>
>>98004000
It's even worse than that
>Raised by Wolves' helmets
>no facial protection
>XIX century english style for not reason at all
Again, this people is the same that has colonized worlds and have tech able to destroy entire civilizations and planets.

Dude, imagine if for once, FOR ONCE, Hollywood cared about armors and their function: protecting the HUMAN body.
>>
>>97999624
wow, that looks like shit
>>
>>98004168
Why?
>>
>>97999530
Have you tried playing games?
