Who plays games without the intent to play a game, anyway?When I sit down to play a game, I don't want to be read a story or hear people blab on for hours on end. I don't want to beg for permission on things, nor do I want the rug pulled from under me about rules I was promised would apply. And I don't care how historically accurate or "realistic" it is, either.I just want a game with a consistent set of challenges, a clear idea how my characters can engage with those challenges, the win and lose conditions, and an unbiased head of the game, and to play that fucking game.Seems like most people here would rather have fake philosophy debates, railroads, scripts, improv theater, and collaborative storytelling, though, and these faggots have the gall to call anyone else "nogames".
