If she's regaining aura faster, either through dispositions or drain, she would be able to speak a bit more, but it's still a very inefficient system and if she loses focus she still risks using commands carelessly.

For the junior member, I was thinking like a late teen boy, with a mix of non legendary techniques, as he learned a bit from different members. The technique I think I like the most so far and would consider making a signature is the Oblative Gesture. He'd also have some of the techniques that Ronin has. Overall, I'm thinking something light, agile, and sort of supportive. I think I'd take the Surveyor occupation and fluff it as a Scout. For the lower power feel I initially started to budget it on Challenged, but that seemed a bit too restrictive, so I switched to Practiced. Personality wise, I was thinking sort of active and optimistic, and eager to learn, but that's mostly a remnant of his past life, which he didn't let go of well. Now he's not only undead, but I also think I'd be taking Withering Blossom, so his optimism is rather unfounded to say it gently. To Ronin, I feel like he'd be a vague memory of his past, a lingering spirit in a sense (but he has a physical body, is there even a ghost option for Undead?), and as someone without the Karmic Debt (being a dying Undead erased what little he earned in the shirt life with Saika Ikki as their scout), he could serve as Scout still, but also just being sent as a messenger to others without getting a bunch of Overseers on him. I think he'd call Ronin something like Master, Teacher or Instructor.

What tech do you think he'll have from Ronin? Battle Flow? One of the Weapon Injections? Oscillating Motion seems really solid, and that's the one I was leaning towards. Subtle Tempest too, but I'm not sure how well it'd combine with Oblative Gesture, and there are other martial arts that are good to. Battle Flow is also solid but I don't know if I'll have points left for this type of a support technique. Majestic Weapon is cool, but too expensive in AP and Aura I think. He has other weapon injections? Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see them in his build.So, it seems I'll be picking from Phase stuff. There already is one Phase technique I was interested in (Distortion), so it'd be on top of that and hence the basic status being favoured. I feel like one martial wye I liked, Shining Eye could still be treated as connected to Ronin, like a poor attempt to imitate his eye (I like the skill because it seems more universal than most martial arts listed, like it can still be used with a weapon easily, and also it's Flow do kinda rare.)

Leads me to believe that increasing an actual crystal or whatever the unit of measurement is would be a pretty enormous undertaking that'd take minimum months if not possibly a year+, as being a master in Cultivation nets you 8 aura for all your experience in it. I know it's also partially due to game balancing, so curious to see other people's thoughts. Not a advertisement for progression or anything, feel like I need to include that just in case.

It gave guidance, while letting us be creative and gave us a great variety. Focusing on a single power, with just some supportive addition of other skills also kept builds very distinct. It's something simple power pickers can't replicate. Overall, it was the perfect balance between a simple power picker and full "make your own stuff" like KtH. There were some things we didn't like when it initially dropped, like martial arts being undervalued (it was 2 years of experience not 4 iirc), but those got straightened out quickly. But yeah, it was also just lucky and the stars aligned.

Not to make Senyan the punching bag again but he's a good example since he's in a similar state of not being able to use the max potential of his kit without running into aura issues, and even at his passive Minor Conduction level running both his martial arts and Medium Sublimation + Conduction Form will put him at 21/27. It's impossible for him to go further, and using a single Fate seeking strike puts him dangerously low. Sapping him even one aura puts his Fate Seeking strike uses with the rest of his full kit from 2 to 1, which I think is pretty significant. I should say that I dont think he's weak, he just has an incredibly hard time bouncing back after using up his aura. Mika devoted literally every drop she has so there's no blood to take from that stone, and even if there was, her touch drains far more than you could.We don't actually have a lot of Aura Drain victims, at least from my quick look, as the only people who'd be the most vulnerable are Shallow systems or Lifelink, and we have very little of either. Even Senyan who I mentioned has quite a bit of wriggle room to avoid being drained completely and can technically function fine even if he was, it's just the recovery afterwards so that he can naturally regenerate aura that will be fucked.
