Subjective morality? Orcs. They're living their morals perfectly.

An interesting idea for a faction GW could add to Naggoraoth could be Marroon tribes, since you would expect some slaves to escape the plantations and mines of the dark elves over its history

Is it possible for Greenskins in Warhammer to have a similar case which occurred in LOTR?

>Warlord orders a humie/dwarf to be captured and taken to them completely unharmed
>Orc in command actually follows through, stopping underlings from having a quick snack

Or is this beyond Warhammer Orcs?
>>
>>98018126
Some nigga suggested a bunch of 3d printer terrain files too, which I greatly appreciated
>>
>>98018160
>Warlord orders a humie/dwarf to be captured and taken to them completely unharmed
yeah that's possible if rare, a WFRP book had a tribe capture a dwarf for him to maintain their war machines for them, Gorfang Rotgut runs a for lack of a better term a trade city and that only works if traders are genrally left unharmed
>>
>>98018160
That could happen, Orcs take captives all the time, and a wounded slave cannot work. Some clever bosses might even use them for barter and negotiation.
Up to /yourdudes/ after all.
>>
>>98018160
It's unusual but it happens. And even though it's goblins and not strictly speaking orcs, it's the premise of the Skarsnik book. And Empire poet gets captured by Skarsnik's warband and forced to write and publish Skarsnik's story.

I am also the nigga who thought about starting a WoC army with some Beastman allies.
A unit of Gors is mandatory, but what else to take? Is a unit of Bestigors worth it over Chaos Warriors with Great Weapons? You trade a point of WS and the possibility to take Marks (and the cool look) against a point of M and being 2 points cheaper per model.

Couple days delayed due to real world grown up stuff but we're back on with the important things now.

Got these guys all primed the other day, and magnetised their movement trays this morning. Same could probably be said about Chaos Warriors too. But what would you take instead that can't be included into a WoC army otherwise? Spam some cheap Tuskgor chariots?
>>
>>98018363
I'd take a warhoof with centigor ambush party. Or bray shaman with larger batch of gors in skirmish with 2 weapons and the knife that let's the shaman kill a model for a +1 cast and 3 or 4 missile pigs. Hell, a bray shaman with gors and a preyton or cockatrice is fine as well.

Yes, I knew you'd have to take a character as well for an allied army. Was torn between a Wargor and a Shaman (or maybe even a Cow?). Probably should have mentioned that.

Just made myself mad by reminding myself that AoS, despite being named after Sigmar, turned him from a Conan-like warrior king who founded the Fantasy Holy Roman Emperor then became it's patron god into a fucking coward who hides from Archaon whilst torturing his own supersoldiers and giving his hammer to a bland nameless guy.

I can ignore a lot of it's sins and just treat it as a bad game I don't play with occasional cool models, but dragging the title characters name through the mud like that makes my blood boil.

He doesn't "hide" from Archaon. Its not well thought out but he's too busy making sigmarines and planning, he doesn't want to go out and fight because he knows chaos will just go where he isn't and destroy it. Archaon is afraid of him.

High elves are genuinely the lamest thing right next to Cathay. I don’t even care for the basic infantry being not updated, on a conceptual level they are fucking lame. The helms are lame, the mounts are lame, the phoneix at least is a good concept but the model and the guard are lame, the weapons are all around fucking lame, the whole dragon angle is fucking lame, shadow elves are cool but that’s basically something all elves basically have for some fucking reason, oh and I can’t forget the lion fuckers. Genuinely, charice shit is the straw that breaks the camels back on high elves. I can tolerate bowling pin helmets on eldar, but they are the lamest fucking thing on high elves, combine that with the idiotic axes and the corny lion furs and you have the biggest joke in the army’s options. Yes, I am taking the eagle kite thing in consideration here.

Nah Nagash and Arielle are both proper deities in the truest sense of it. Nagash has humans make pilgrimages in his realm if I remember correctly, and Arielle also extends her roots with whole bunch of other races. I have no fuckin clue whats going on with the dwarf or other gods there though. Granted I've never been the type to care about religion outside of taal for fb to begin with. Once again, it's just a powerlevel. Jared Leto has people making pilgrimages to him irl too with his weird cult religion but that doesn't make him a god.

The newer kit has a musician it's just hard to tell. Only one of them is a banner, the other is a drum hung on a stick that the musician beats with a curved mallet.
>>
>>98021458
Yeah, I'm basing on 20s. 25s look fucking ridiculous for normal humans/dorfs/goblins. There's so much space between them, they're not even in formation anymore. I'm not a tourneyfag either so not like anyone will refuse me over it.

I like painting my goats on the weekend

Yes it is. Resin definitely better for models, but here is my fdm printed AI generated AI converted printout for my warhoof. Still a bunch of trees to cut and cleaning to do, but looks good enough for play purposes. 0.2mm nozzle, .1mm layering, pla matte. If I shelled out some money I could do better of course. There are better wires for model work like fast flow.

Wait, you can slop models now?

>I’m sad the “newer” kit doesn’t seem to have a musician
The musician will have similar equipment to this guy (picrel is just the monopose version). Night goblins are mostly gong bongers but if you buy the squig kit you get a cymbal crasher and a cool bagpiper.
The pic also shows their original 20mm bases, all my armies go on "old" base sizes and then I just use adapter trays to make them TOW sized, so I can play whatever edition with the correct base sizing.

Printing minis is the same process as printing anything else, but certain parts of the process have a bigger focus than otherwise. Mostly because we're printing at such small scale, you don't want any detail to be lost or layer lines to be visible, whereas those are less of a concern if you're printing like a big functional part. Fwiw though 3d design and printing and digitally kitbashing has become my favourite part of the hobby these days so you might find lots of enjoyment in it too. Check out /3dpg/ if you want to know more

The kit in question is from 2010,

Do you posted on /x/ about being gangstalked? You sure do have a vivid imagination

Name a legacy faction you want to see brought into the "core", and make up a unit for it.
>>
>>98021860
For my money its gotta be demons,
Gib khorne monstrous infantry hero, make it look like an enraged monkey or dawg or something. Make it animalistic.
When dies in melee challenge, the offending hero/champion immediately turns feral and does a full round of attacks on its own unit or similar.

Perpetual curse of violence.
>>
>>98021860
Lizardmen, just because they need bullywugs. No idea how you'd differentiate them from skinks, as they both fit the poisonous aquatic role. Maybe I should just make a lizardmen army with bullywug proxies.

>Thread Question:
>Which faction in Warhammer Fantasy has the strongest claim to being morally justified in the setting?
Orcs and goblins. The setting is literally there to facilitate fights between races, and orcs & goblins was made for fightin. There is no purer moral justification. Waaagh, gentlemen.

>>98021991
Well now that's just uncalled for innit

If you want something more elaborate I was considering writing rules for a set of demons of law that parallel the roster of the demons of chaos, I think I got a pretty comprehensive set by dividing the types of angels into the 4 archetypes people would mostly want out of models for angels, that also roughly mirror the gods of law
>virtues of astasis: classic angels of purity and serene aspect (either painted as having normal skin or as statues), with defence against magical attacks and attacks that damage magical beings the most
>powers of solkan: warrior angels clad in full armors, best defence and offense against conventional troops
>dominions of alluminas: angels with no physical bodies, just flames and light, focus on spreading malus onto enemy units
>mementos of daora: angels of death of skeletal but somber looks, focus on spreading bonus onto friendly units

the equivalent to a demonic beast for the roster of angels would be the "biblically accurate" seraphim, while its version as a steed or chariot for herald characters would become the more artifical look of the "thrones", the wheels within wheels thing
parallel to the furies we have cherubs which would come in all shapes and forms depending on the god (normal, skeletal, eldritch, or just a helmet or artifact of sort with wings)

an archangel that ramps up to 11 the themes of the lesser angels makes sense as equivalent to a greater demon, even if this all flies in the face of the real hierarchy of angelic beings, but I'm not really sticking to it, I'm just using the cool names where it sounds appropriate

finally the last unit I would add to the roster would be a type of monstrous infantry or giant-sized monster that takes from the look of the actual cherubims, as in humanoid things that also have eagle, lion and bull heads; these would be towering statuesque things where the multiple heads are just multifaced helmets. Ideally they would be imposing enough that once given shields and robes and flowing clouds and halos around them they might look like a solid heavenly wall deployed on the table.
the animal heads also link quite neatly with the idea of the nehekarans taking inspiration from the angels of their gods for the making of the ushabtis, so it also makes sense to narratively make these things part of a more ancient status quo of beings, with a history regarding their previous role on the world and current placement/punishment(?) as guardians, and I think the name nephilim invokes the stuff well

looking around I also see that fantastical depictions of angels try to pair them with lions (winged or not) and eagles and pegasi, so they would make sense as further angelic monsters of some form, and if we keep the 4-way ramifications then as added final beast we could have some fiery heavenly serpents to complicate things a bit and link to some of the descriptions of seraphims

does it sound like I'm drawing something logical here or that I'm schizo rambling?
>>
finished 10 ungors archers. 3 gors left and I'm done with my beastmen (for a while)
>>
>>98022290
Yooo love the colour variation on the skin.

Are you doing the same thing on your gors or are they more consistent?
>>
>>98022303
same for gors, 6 skin colors and 6 fur colors, so I don't have clones

Try a third, much brighter/whiter shade with smaller strokes only on heads, shoulders and parts of the arms/hands that are the highest.

Just try it, at least of one dude, it takes like 2 min and 5-8 small dashes/dots. Trust.
>>
>>98021665
Yep, lots of fiddly things you have to do, but once you get everything dialed in and such you can turn around stuff real quick.

I see you're batting for the greatest slop hits.
Can't wait to see it with an unshaded basecoat and nothing else.
>>
>>98022856
Nope, far worse! I'm the bad painter guy. I'm also cheap as fuck, so everything all told here only cost me 2-3 hours once to learn how to do it and I can pump out new models from design to printing in minutes now for pennies. FDM is definitely 100% the wrong tool, but its what I have so it's what I'll use.

Chaos dwarfs and either some heavily armoured ogres in chorf-style plate working as mercenaries/enforcers (probably Ironskin tribe members) or some sort of new K'daai monster pulling a chariot for one of the sorcerer prophets

>>
>>98021467
I prefer 25s for normal humans I think it both looks better and ranks up better. I do think goblins do look weird in 25s though.
>>
>>98023196
I think Cathay is done for the next year or two at least since all the rumours are about new WoC, TK or Wood Elf models.
Cathay right now also feels pretty complete, unlike when it launched, it doesn't have massive gaping holes in the roster
>>
>>98023330
Fuck I hope so. Between TOW Cathay releases and Total War I'm sick of so much Cathay. Hopefully some base unit refreshes can come out of the other factions. The metal needs to all go.
>>
>>98023419
The metal and Resin models will slowly be replaced, the Resin might go first if anything, since GW hasn't produced a new resin kit in at least 18 months now.

cleaned and next to the printed herdstone. I have 3 elk skulls I'm going to be adding to the fountain as well.
