Let's talk about Old School games. For a rough guage, all pre-3e D&D and related games are welcome, though there's plenty of cases of games that were made after 3e that have that good "old school spirit."This ain't a post-3e hate thread though. The image of this 'Old School' guy reeeing about 3rd edition way back in 2000 before he even played it is the kind of grognard the world doesn't need.If you've got a fun personal definition of "Old School", lay it down like you think you're a textbook. But, remember to ignore trolls and bait and be civil.>TQ- What's the spell you've cast the most often, ie. truly the most useful spell?
>TQ- What's the spell you've cast the most often, ie. truly the most useful spell?Cure Light Wounds for me. By a country mile, probably.
>>98019147Welcome to the latest definitely not-a-general hijack thread posted by the board's greatest schizo, Fishfag.Reminder that the actual /osrg/ can currently be found here:>>98004530>>98004530>>98004530This is just a containment thread for the insane filled with samefagging, and for celebrating the eternal triumph of the BROSR.
>>98019147>If you've got a fun personal definition of "Old School", lay it down like you think you're a textbook. That's way more interesting than the TQ.I actually think most of the definitions you find online don't capture what made old school gaming good at all. They're way too technical.I think "if the players hear about a dragon and are scared to fight it" is a good mark of what makes old school old school.
>>98019162CLW for priests, Sleep for mages.
>>98019199I've been playing since the 80s and I've never been scared of a dragon.
>>98019199OSR games need three things:Darkness matters.Traps will fucking kill you.Dungeons are made of squares.
>>98019236You're not facing the right dragons then.
>>98019147Magic missle, I have used the holy fuck out of magic missle
>>98019235Oh sleep is a solid choice abd CLW is always a crowd favorite
>>98019147>TQ- What's the spell you've cast the most often, ie. truly the most useful spell?I think we all know.
>>98019147To me OSR is an attempt to capture that pre 3e feel. For some that is a direct clone, for others it's a bit mix and match, but it's always chasing that feel
>>98019285That's more undead but....
>>98019147Sleep. As for low level spell this is probably the most useful.
>>980191472e isn't OSR btw
>>98019147https://archive.org/details/DragonMagazine260_201801/DragonMagazine275/page/112/mode/2up>Over the past six months or so, I have been seeing and hearing various references to the upcoming 3rd Edition of D&D. In general, I was not particularly concerned, because I expected it to be something on the order of the revisions that were made ten years ago for the 2nd Edition. Those changes, while broad, generally simplified and improved the game, and did not make any fundamental alterations to the basic system. I did not lose any sleep over the new edition because I expected more of the same.>This weekend I visited my local game store and discovered the handy “conversion guide” Wizards of the Coast has been distributing. In only a few minutes, I realized just how wrong I was.>I am, in a word: appalled.I actually love this kind of pearl-clutching.
>>98019376Said by the tard who is wrong and smelly.
>>98019387Ignore the troll. It actually works pretty well.
>>98019387
>>98019377Oh yeah there was a lot of that. So much, there were some small flame wars over it.
>>98019377A diy of a double post, but it was totally faire to be appalled by the conversion guide. What a worthless POS that was. You can not convert a 2e character into 3e.What you can do is rebuild it from the ground up and try to get it kinda close. It's like saying you are converting it to savage worlds or WEG Star wars. You will end up with something, but it won't be the same character
>>98019387Nta but I've asked you in the past, why are you incapable of ever making any reply that is talking normal?Every reply you make is angry and defensive and really childish and I'm just curious why you do that
>>98019442I don't know why you try to read posts with your ass and then wonder why they don't look normal to you.
>>98019436>What you can do is rebuild it from the ground up and try to get it kinda close. It's like saying you are converting it to savage worlds or WEG Star wars. You will end up with something, but it won't be the same characterIt wouldn't be seamless, but I'd say most (low level) 2e to 3e conversions would be at least 80% close. Priests/Clerics would still be casting cure light wounds, FightingMen/Fighters would still be swinging two-handed/great swords, I really have a hard time picturing what kind of character someone would have that would be losing such an important part of their identity if translated into 3e.I guess a bunch of guys with legacy characters and lots of levels would be upset that they couldn't just directly continue in 3e with a character they might have played for years at that point, but looking at the 2e-to-3e conversion compared to the 3e-to-4e or the 4e-to-5e conversion process, it's kind of quaint that these guys thought their whole world was ending.
>>98019436> it was totally faire to be appalled by the conversion guide. I'm kind of amazed they actually printed the guy's letter. It was a WOTC magazine, and he's really laying into WOTC.
>>98019340>it's always chasing that feelThe "Zuckerberg fashion" of Games.
>>98019495You could kinda convert very low level and simple characters. But the changes are bigger than they seem at first. We all gave up even trying as the booklet was worthlessThe issue really was they don't play the same, it's one of those things you just have to try to see the issues. Also let's just leave 4e out, it's always gonna be the outlier.>>98019525What year was that one published?
>>98019554Kinda yeah. When it boils down to it the whole movement is about feel. You get like a 100 games based off the concept as everyone is trying to perfectly capture that feel, for them.
>>98019559Issue 275, sep 2000. 3e came out in Aug 2000, so it's the second issue after it came out.
>>98019586 Weird, it was likely on the editor. Dragons often had negative letters at times. Did the editor respond to it?
>>98019640You can actually read the whole magazine here.https://archive.org/details/DragonMagazine260_201801/DragonMagazine275/page/112/mode/2upIt looks like the letter was just printed without any direct response. It was followed by a very pro-3e letter though.
>>98019525>>98019586I'd like to think that back then corporate control over literally everything wasn't like it is now.
>>98019662Ty for the link, as the guy below said this is just months after hasbro got wotc, and magazines are sent to print a bit before they are due out. So yeah I think lack of Hasbro oversight
>>98019147>If you've got a fun personal definition of "Old School", lay it down like you think you're a textbookOSR means you watch Record of Lodoss War first and then you start the game with it playing in the background as ambience.
>>98019236
>>98019706I've used Deedlit to lure people into playing OSR games.
>>98019147Yo that guy is going through some emotions. He's writing that letter like he is in a civil war documentary.I didn't know that any 2e guys felt like that about 3e. I started with 3e really young so I didn't even know about 2e until years later, and I thought everyone had just switched to 3e like everyone switched from the n64 to the gamecube.
>>98019199What stands out to me as the most "old school" part of old school games wasn't the lethality, but having hirelings.Modern games have basically abandoned them. You don't need to hire people to carry your extra stuff anymore and everything is so focused on each player playing their one character. Even when people playing old school games don't have hirelings, they still have that feeling that it's not a group of main characters in a world filled with expendable extras.
>>98020208Hirelings are a meme.Like religiously tracking torches. It's stuff games like shadowdark do just to seem old school.
>>98019662These Dragon mags are so nostalgic.

>>98019147>TQ- What's the spell you've cast the most often, ie. truly the most useful spell?Great TQ! You can literally make one post for every spell in "AD&D" 2e saying that it's that spell and... voila! You have an organic post with lots of authentic conversations.
New TQ: what's the weapon that you've used the most? The most useful weapon?
>>98020779>TQFor me it's the sword

>>98019317>missle>>98019324>abdOne minute four seconds apart Both with a spelling errorThis is totally not rootin' tootin' dyslexic fishfag trying to look like two different people with different opinions!
>>98019586>it's the second issue after it came out. That is incorrect. Street dates for periodicals like magazines and comics predate cover dates. Dragon 275 September 2000 was on the street in August. 3e was released early August. #275 was the last issue before 3e's release or the first issue after.Dragon arrived from around after the middle of the month to the start of the last week, depending upon subscriber, specialty store, or newsstand. The September issue has a convention and events calendar covering September and likewise for other months. Advertising to everyone that you have a con running 1-3 September would have been stupid if readers didn't get the magazine until the end of the month well after the con was over. The September Dragon issue has 3e DMG as a brief preview feature despite that book coming out in September. WOTC at the time didn't have a fixed monthly date for book releases but the magazine release means if the September cover date issue had come out in September it could been anywhere from weeks after to few days before DMG, that's a bad idea for a preview. As a comparison, a September cover date from Marvel comics meant it was on sale in July.Solicited for orders in MayPrinted in JuneOn the shelf in JulyRemaindered in September or OctoberRemaindering meant its cover was ripped off and returned for a refund. The exact period of the remainder window would have been specified in contract but 60 to 90 days after delivery to the retailer was standard so it would have been off the shelf in October.
>>98019365Wow. Such a very insightful comment on a very engaging TQ. This is such a good and totally not faked thread

>>98020985NTA, but last official adventure I ran was Night Below. Easy to reccomend, players really enjoyed it.It'a kind of sad it was Sargent's last module. I really wish he had continued on, but the RPG market basically crashed after NT came out and he and a lot of designers struggled to get work and many left the business entirely.
>>98020985NTA, but I am currently a player in one of the OSR anthologies. Pretty sure it's the one on the pic

What games are you playing lately?

>spends 100 posts trying to convince everyone that the posts here are unnatural samefagging>spends 100+ posts bumping the /osrg/ with the most unnatural samefagging on the boardIt's sad, how much effort this troll puts into trying to tell people what they should be thinking.
>>98022436In defense of my theories, this here is the kind of thing that makes me think Fishfag's a genuine schizo. Real conversations look fake to him, while the conversations he has with the voices in his head seem completely real.
>>98019147Old School has changed in meaning and purpose over the years. Old School relative to 3e is not the same as Old School in the era of 5e, and I think its main value is being able to lay down some clearly gamist frameworks with less resistance. Why is there a giant dungeon to explore? Because it'a traditional, shut up.Why did my character die so easily? That's the way our forefathers did it, be proud. Why does carrying gold out make me a better priest?Look, that's just Gary's logic, okay, don't overrthink it.

It doesn't matter if someone puts in ten thousand shitposts, it doesn't make him actually paranoid schizophrenic to where he starts imagining that the posts in the real thread are fake but his empty samefagging is real conversation.
>>98022450>Real conversations look fake to him, while the conversations he has with the voices in his head seem completely real.Yeah, we have observed this a million times. He keeps claiming that the conversations on /osrg/ are fake, how can one explain this?>He actually believes the conversations on /osrg/ are fake. This suggests either paranoid schizophrenia (delusions) or severe autism (broken theory of mind, doesn't understand how non-subhumans think or behave).>He understands that the conversations on /osrg/ are reals, but he think he can convince people that they are fake by saying it.This would rule out paranoid schizophrenia, but is still a signal of severe autism with a broken theory of mind.>He's just doing a "no u" comeback.Unless he's under ten, this points at a developmental disability and very low IQ.
>>98022450You've shown everyone just how much effort you're willing to put into putting on a performance. You really have an idiotic way of looking at things. You think flooding a thread like an autistic toddler is supposed to convince this board you're powerful and scary and that everything you say is true, when it just shows how unnatural you are and how bizarre it is that you feel like blatant flooding is a tactic you're entitled to use. >>98019495>I really have a hard time picturing what kind of character someone would have that would be losing such an important part of their identity if translated into 3e.Simple answer is multi-class and dual-class characters. A 2e Elf Fighter 5/Mage 5 and a 3e Elf Fighter 5/Wizard 5 are massively different. The 2e version is effectively a 6th level character while the 3e version is a heavily gimped 10th level character.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks
>>98022584Would you have preferred if I had used a 1e Elf Fighter/Mage or B/X Elf as an example? It wouldn't change anything about the fact that 3e multiclassing didn't work to the point that a bunch of hybrid prestige classes needed to be written to fix the issue in 3.5. 3e multi-classing/prestige-classing is such a mess that the 1e Bard is actually a better designed example of a Prestige class system.
>>98022573>a heavily gimped 10th level character.Couldn't that be the equivalent of a 6th level character?
>>98022618>>mess that the 1e Bard is actually a better designed example of a Prestige class system. Now that is a low blow. Accurate, but man that sounds just mean.
>>98022618>that 3e multiclassing didn't workIt worked, as long as you weren't playing any sort of spellcaster and knew which classes were the most front-loaded.The 3e character optimization scene wound up in a situation where the strongest builds were monolithic clerics, focused wizards, and isolated druids, and then some horrific shambling messes of six classes stitched together that let a character attack twenty times and then explode.
>>98022624Except that encounter design and XP rewards were tuned around Character level. 3e Fighter 5/Wizard 5's had the attack bonus of a 10th level Cleric, less hp than a 10th level Cleric, worse save than a 10th level Cleric. the spell casting of a 5th level Wizard, couldn't wear armor without risking spell failure and was expected to fight the same opponents as a 10th level Cleric.>>98022632It just demonstrates how bad a designer Monte Cook was.>>98022654>It worked, as long as you weren't playing any sort of spellcaster and knew which classes were the most front-loaded.That isn't an example of it working. That is just another example of how messed up it was. In theory an evenly split Fighter/Wizard and a Cleric should be the same level of power, but Monte Cook favored casters.>and then some horrific shambling messes of six classes stitched together that let a character attack twenty times and then explode.Which was because the multi-classing system was so flawed that taking so many dips could leave your bad saves at +0 while your good save was inflated to a point of impracticality.
>>98022716>>just demonstrates how bad a designer Monte Cook wasYou won't get any disagreements with me other that. They also built in "trap" options that if you took fucked your character up
>>98022716>In theory an evenly split Fighter/Wizard and a Cleric should be the same level of powerI don't think that could or even should be the case. Multi-classing being an available option is a good feature, but it complicates things considerably. The intended ideal is "Players pick a class and can stick with it without thinking they need to worry about mixing classes together," and making multi-classing innately costly is one way to do that.Everyone always wants to be good at everything, and if a wizard or a fighter was just as strong as a wizard/fighter, almost everyone would just be playing a wizard/fighter.
>>98022527>You've shown everyone just how much effort you're willing to put into putting on a performance.>t. Guy Who's Spent Literal Years Trying To Take Over /osrg/ Via Spam Threads And Samefagging
>>98022781I think you misunderstand. The Cleric is the prototypical "gish" that is in theory half way between a Warrior and a Full Caster. 3/4's the attack bonus of a Fighter and (what was prior to 3e) ~3/4 the spell casting capabilities of a Wizard (with a different spell selection). In theory, a Fighter/Wizard multi class should end up with a similar 3/4 attack bonus and 3/4 casting.1e/2e are actually a better at this than 3e. A Fighter 14, Mage 14 and Fighter 11/Mage 12 all have the same XP requirement of 1.5 Million XP and are closer in power than a Fighter 15, Wizard 15 and a Fighter 5/Wizard 5/Eldritch Knight 5 in 3.X.
>>98022559>There is no conspiracy, you just suck that bad. This lmao, he probably thinks it was his singular nemesis/team of Eastern European pro-trolls who started the thread asking why he's allowed to post a dozen spam threads without getting janned when in reality literally anybody can just tell he's a nut.
>>98022588Just so.

>>98022875>Eastern European pro-trollsNew lore just dropped. I thought it was the BrOSR secret discord.
>>98022909The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
>>980228743.X multiclassing is a trap.Splitting levels like 5/5/5 kills your Caster Level and Base Attack Bonus. You end up with low-level spells and weak hits, while a level 15 specialist is basically a god. In that system, versatility usually equals incompetence.
>>980229383.X is "Linear Fighters, Quadratic Wizards." When you multiclass 5/5/5, you miss the exponential power spikes of high-level spells. A level 15 Wizard is rewriting reality with 8th level slots while the hybrid is still stuck casting Fireball. The math simply punishes you for not specializing.
>>98022951The "Prestige Class Treadmill" in 3.5 makes it even worse. If you don't pick a specific path and stick to it, you lose out on the specialized abilities needed to beat high-level Damage Reduction and Spell Resistance. A 5/5/5 build is a flavor win but a mechanical disaster.
>>98022958Pathfinder 1E tried to fix this with Favored Class Bonuses and stronger archetypes, but the "multiclass tax" is still brutal. If you dip too much, you lose your high-level Capstones and delay your spell progression. In a system built on heavy specialization, a split build usually just results in a character who can't pass a single high-level DC.
>>980229635e makes multiclassing easier with shared Spell Slots, but you still get screwed on Spell Level. A level 15 Wizard has 8th level spells, while a split build is stuck upcasting low-level garbage. Plus, missing out on High-Level Features and ASIs makes the character feel like a weak amateur compared to a mono-class specialist.
In 3e, skill points are a nightmare; if you multiclass, you’re constantly capped by "cross-class" costs that eat your progression. Pathfinder smoothed this out by ditching the 2-for-1 cost, but you still need high levels to keep your bonuses relevant. 5e is the most forgiving because of Expertise, but a "skill monkey" who dips too thin loses the high-level utility that actually lets you bypass late-game obstacles.
>>98022963>>98022974In 3e, you're doomed; spending points on, say, Profession (Fishing) as a cross-class skill means you'll never catch anything at high levels. Pathfinder is better since you can at least use a trait to make it a class skill for that +3 bonus, but you're still burning precious points. In 5e, you just grab Expertise in Survival (or a Tool) and call it a day, but you're still a guy with a rod standing next to a Wizard who can just summon a tsunami.
>>98022981In 3e, you'd have to burn even more points into Profession (Cook), which is a separate skill from Fishing—basically a math suicide for your build. Pathfinder lets you use the Background Skills variant to take both without ruining your combat stats, but it's still flavor-only. In 5e, you just pick the Guild Artisan or Urchin background for Cook’s Utensils proficiency; it scales with your level automatically, so you can smoke salmon while the rest of the party actually plays the game.
>>98022995In 3e, you are limited by Encumbrance and gold; you either buy a Mule and a wagon or pray for a Bag of Holding. If you multiclass into a Bag of Holding build, you’re just wasting a high-level slot on a glorified pantry.Pathfinder gives you the Handy Haversack, which is the gold standard for fish transport because it always puts the salmon on top. If you’re a Summoner, you could arguably make your Eidolon a literal pack mule with the right evolutions. In 5e, it’s trivial. You just use Tenser’s Floating Disk or a Bag of Holding. Since 5e simplified carrying capacity, as long as your Strength isn't a dump stat, you can haul your smoked haul without any actual "build" investment.
>>98022654>>98022716>the only real discussion in this alleged OSR thread is about 3ekek
>>98023009In 3e, you need high Charisma and maxed Diplomacy or Sense Motive to avoid getting fleeced by NPCs using the rigid merchant rules. Pathfinder makes this easier with the Bargain Hunter trait or the Master Merchant feat to boost your gold yield. In 5e, selling is purely DM-dependent, though Expertise in Persuasion is your only real mechanical way to squeeze out a profit.
>>98021203Your personal feelings have nothing to do with what OSR is, it is a genre term and therefore can be determined by what is sold under that label, which is not exclusively "D&D as it was played in its original decade," a definition you faggots made up.
Trolls always come to samefag when conversation gets going. They also don't understand conversation flow
>>98023015Pathfinder 1E is actually the winner for this venture. The Background Skills system lets you max Fishing and Cooking without wasting combat points. For transport, the Handy Haversack is the most reliable tool for logistics, and the Bargain Hunter trait gives you a flat mechanical bonus to your profit margins. It’s the only edition that provides hard rules for every step of the business without making your character a total gimp in a fight.
>>98022547Nobody will ever like you, you are a retarded loser, that's why you call everyone fishfag, you have to delude yourself into believing only one person dislikes your shitty game and your faggot behavior. Even you know you aren't real "OSR," that's why you had to clarify you're "BrOSR".
>>98023042The Pathfinder 1E Investigator is the ultimate build for this.Using Inspiration, you add $1d6$ to all your Profession (Fisher) and Profession (Cook) checks to master the fishing and smoking stages without breaking a sweat. For Transport, you use the Alchemist Infusion discovery to create a Handy Haversack or use Ant Haul extracts to triple your carrying capacity. Finally, for Selling, your Empiricist archetype lets you use Intelligence for Diplomacy and Sense Motive, ensuring you fleece every merchant you meet while still being a god-tier skill monkey.
>>98023039>They also don't understand conversation flowInteresting. Can you elaborate, please? I don't see what you mean exactly.

>>98023065>The poster is just rephrasing the previous post slightly.I'm the Anon who wrote those posts. You're clearly missing the point. >>98023138......I'm going to reveal something to you. It's going to hurt you to hear, but you kind of need to hear this. It only takes maybe ten words to figure out you're just a butthurt troll, and then their responses are completely independent of what you wrote. They're reacting to you simply making posts; no one is dumb enough to bother ingesting the inept efforts to manipulate public perception you attach to them. >>98023433>>"thinks" everyone is the same personLook, either it's one guy or all of your mothers had cravings for the same brand of lead paint chips when they were pregnant with you.We know for a fact there's one shitter that's willing to lie, cheat, falseflag, faggot about and act fucking retarded in order to get what he wants, a full throated "No bad tactics only bad targets" untermensch. So why shouldn't we be suspect when we see posts going>I'm totes a new person and I also agree with [THING RETARD SAID]>Wow, I too am new to this thread and I also think he is right :)>Y'all a hootenannyin' 'bout them /osrg/ chuds? >Well I reckon they be a bunch of low down varmints son, now let me go back to wranglin' lil' dawgies. Rawhide.ect, ect. He's been up to this for about 18 months by this point at least, given that's give-or-take when he first earned his nickname.Either it's one retard, or one retard and his discord programmer socks brigade. And neither of them have, even once mind you, contributed to any thread they've been in in a constructive manner.
>>98023440He's really upsetHe's having a meltdown
>>98023454System of a Meltdown
>>98023440Or maybe you are just stupid like him.
>>98023474Don't Let Me Meltdown
>>98023448Nice projection, retard.
>>98023433>>98023405>>98023494We've asked you in the past, why are you incapable of ever making any reply that is talking normal?Every reply you make is angry and defensive and really childish and I'm just curious why you do that
>>98023497Can you try to talk normal for once?
In what setting do you run OSR games? Mystara, Wilderlands or your OC?
>>98023501>>98023508Try looking at posts without dicks hitting your stupid face and maybe you would be able to read posts like everyone else.
>>98023418I think it would help you to know that these threads have been made by more than one person. I'm guessing three at minimum so far. And, likely more when people realize that it's pretty easy to get a thread to 300+ just by saying "hey guys, let's talk about OSR" with almost no effort on their part. Right now, it's mostly seems to have been people who actually want to talk about OSR and dislike what you did to the general. But, considering how they're basically guaranteed to occupy at least a handful of trolls during all their waking hours, I predict even just trolls who like watching even dumber trolls suffer are going to join in, especially considering of innocuous of a post is enough to set you off. I know you're gonna have to do your "it's all one guy" thing, but honestly, from this side of things where it's a little easier to see other people do stuff, I'm telling you this because your plan seems to have been to completely abandon public perception and instead to try and keep doing this until the mods get involved. If the mod coin flips in your favor, that's not really going to solve the underlying issues, and trying to suppress the dissatisfaction seems to just make it build up. And, if the coin flips the other way, it's going to be immeasurably worse for you because you've really been relying on not just a neutral approach, but a completely blind eye turned towards you.Your "It's all one guy" thing is the lie you depend upon, but it's not a great idea to actually build your strategy on that lie. And, the idea that you dedicating hours of your life to making posts no one will read sounds like it's not really sustainable, hence why you're already signalling your desperation for mod intervention, something you've already signaled multiple times actually. It's kind of hard to take your "no matter how many threads are made, we'll keep flooding them" seriously when you keep signalling that even a lifeless loser like you is growing weary.
>>98023532>I think it would help you to know that these threads have been made by more than one personThat doesn't matter. They're all destroyed the same way anyhow.
>>98023539They persist forever.Look. I can even grab a post from more than a week ago.https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/97969950/#q97971330>They're adding posts to the post count, at the very least.>It's really pretty obvious what's going on, because they do this every single time. Whenever someone else makes a thread about OSR that they feel threatened by, they jump over to it and try flooding it with some flavor of shitpost (in today's case shill posts) so that they can simultaneously drive people away and also claim that the only activity in the thread had been their shitposting.>I guess we just sort of have to endure it. Maybe tap posts like these >>97971173 so that the trolls don't imagine anyone is fooled by what they're doing.
>>98023532>trying to suppress the dissatisfaction seems to just make it build upLmao, who cares if one guy's seething builds to boiling point if he gets consistently blocked from pushing it onto the board? You think anyone here minds Fishfag getting assmad?>muh desperationYeah, it looks like it, right? Your threads aren't nosediving at all, right? People aren't cracking jokes at your expense and even effortposting harder to make fun of you than you've ever done making these shitty hijack attempts! Fatigue! Lel
>>98023554>Shitty content-free hijack threads persist foreverSuuuuuure, Jan.Really worked well for your more outright /osrg/ hijack attempts, right?
>>98023560>But Anon! Surely the mods are too mechanistic and plain retarded to realize these threads are also /osrg/ hijack attempts, if we just put "not a general" in the OP!Kek
>>98023556I get that this is the kind of thing you'd have to say, whatever it actually happened to be, but you've just been handed a good amount of free advice that would save you a lot of wasted life in the future. Even if you're stuck trying to say it's all just one guy, you're really screwing yourself over by acting like you believe that yourself.Don't say no one gave you this advice later.
>>98023574>Don't say no one gave you this advice later.Kek, you're back to this shit now?>"Don't say I didn't warn you what would happen!">gets BTFO to the point of massive meltdown>"Celebrate your sowing today, and reap its consequences tomorrow">/osrg/ becomes better than it's been for yearsKeep the consequences coming, faggot! Looks like things just get better and better every time.

>>98023554>They persist forever.>Look. I can even grab a post from more than a week ago.Sherlock Fishfag at it again! He's so smart!
>>98023448>We know for a fact there's one shitter that's willing to lie, cheat, falseflag, faggot about and act fucking retarded in order to get what he wants, a full throated "No bad tactics only bad targets" untermensch. To me, the funniest thing is he keeps insisting that the threads are totally real, absolutely true and honest posting, but then he 100% just gets baited into arguing with the most obvious shitposts making fun of him and never posts a single fake attempt at conversation after any of these threads have hit bump limit, rushing to post a new faggoty troll thread instead as soon as he thinks he can get away with it (witness the one he got deleted the other day when he jumped the gun). Meanwhile the real /osrg/ carries on with its conversations all the way down to page 10.There's just absolutely no arguing his way out of that.
>>98023589HAI, FISHOFAGGO DAI ASSOMANGURU DESU
>>98023586You can't replace good arguments with butthurt shitposting and expect that to work, no matter how butthurt you get.Good luck.
Well this thread is dead. Osrg troll infestation. See y'all next thread. Maybe the TQ should be something like "what OSR games have you actually played"
>>98023650See? Doesn't even wait for bump limit, just abandons the thread as soon as he knows it will soon no longer be useful for shitting up page 1 and confusing outsiders.>Maybe the TQ should be something like "what OSR games have you actually played"Kek, every one of your sock puppets will have to answer "none".
>>98023531>t. has an avalanche of smoked fish hitting his face with the force of a water cannon every second
>>98023072>The term "BrOSR" was invented to describe retards like youDo you have any proof of this? Because as far as I can see everywhere online the brosr is the self-proclaimed name of the group of guys who played D&D
>>98023119I read them. And if you want the mods to help you so much why don't you contact them on irc?
>>98023194I just want you to know that I didn't read any of your post

>>98023165Remember in the early days of fishfag posting but he spent multiple posts defending the fact that he doesn't think they are called characters, but symbols?
>>98023287Could also be that we're just tired of your shit and ganging up on you organically :) sometimes /b/ is in fact your personal army
>>98023405If you are not a 12-year-old, you have a legitimate developmental disability, and it makes your posts really sad to read. It comes across like an angry child learning his swear words

>>98023728That just you but replace face with ass.
>>98023798>>98023815Enough about you and your posts about fishfag.
>>98023806There being more than one person disagreeing with your retarded posts breaks the fishfag lore.

>>98023932Chicken butt.

>>98022971Almost as though we don't care about off-site drama and stay in our little clubhouse.
>>98022971
>>98023418>See, this is exactly what I mean. Just total, abject denial of the obvious while it's screaming in your face. You guys are the ones who say everyone who dislikes you is fishfag, and seem to actually believe it, so this is just retarded projection.
>>98023317>>98023761Yes, it is unfortunate when the most antisocial retards on the web, who get themselves banned from every forum they post on, all get funneled to 4chan. In case you didn't know, having only come here after getting chased out of Reddit, the point of 4chan is not, in fact, to be the most antisocial retard on the web. This board existed long before you showed up to start taking a dump in every thread. Fuck, you're actually newer than the damn election tourists.
>>98023334>>98023389>Go ahead, explain what you think it means.A Venn diagram which is a circle would mean that there are two groups with 100% overlap. God you people are genuinely fucking so stupid, no wonder you think ACKS is good.
>>98023355Spam is spam. If somebody posts "I love D&D," "I really like D&D," "D&D is a great system," etc, for 200 posts, all within 1 minute of each other, that is spam whether or not it's "about tabletop games."
>>98024795This is not actually an answer. Answer Anon's question: if you have your way everywhere else as you claim, why try to force your false definition of the OSR here where nobody accepts it?
>>98024965This statement is premised on the idea that the only people who use the term OSR on 4chan are the people from /osrg/ who call everybody fishfag, which is not true. You are in fact imports from Reddit and rpg.net who got banned from those sites for being too annoying. So, it's pretty easy: I'm not letting a bunch of refugees force me to adopt their language.
>>98025534>You are in fact imports from Reddit and rpg.net who got banned from those sites for being too annoying.Nigger I have been on this website for 20 years, you are the tourist here, not me. Your little hillbilly boyfriend already admitted to being a literal transplant here from RPGnet and read it as of February. You aren't changing /osrg/ and you aren't changing shit.2e is off topic, and if you don't like it you can just cry harder while I'm raping your little faggot scrawny ass
>>98024795So if all of those other websites agree with you and are exactly what you want them to be, why can't you leave osrg alone? Why do you have to change osrg into being something that is more like those websites that you come from?
Last for 2e is not OSR.
