ACKCHUALLY it's a novelization of a PC adaptation of the module. I don't blame you for not remembering that one - it was basically SSI's last roll of the dice before they lost the D&D licence, and it sold basically nothing because it was a buggy mess.

I (probably mis)remember a zombie killing me on the very first map while I was in the menu. Reason would be the option to time turns, which might make some sense in multiplayer but apparently is on by default in singleplayer as well.
