The Laer were definitely chaos worshippers, and the EC started getting involved in serious heresy after the campaign there. Fulgrim carried a demon weapon taken from the Laer prior to 'turning' and purging the loyalists at Istvaan, he didn't take it because he was already a heretic and a totally evil guy, he took it because he was attracted to it and then later succumbed to the power it offered.I'm going to model up some demons etc as well to use alongside them, for when I want to go more traitor. I get what you're saying though, I just feel it is a wasted opportunity to take a traitor legion and not show that they're at least somewhat fucked up. It's not a perfect line, and I am enjoying fucking about with these guys more than the generic by-the-book rank and file that make up the majority of my MkIVs so far.

With a group of friends we are starting our journey in to Horus Heresy. No books read aside for the first two in the story, so our knowladge of the world is limited. Tried to find materials online, but they are confusing and often contradicting each other. But we are taking it slow, and we are definitly not planning to play tournaments. We do have some questions regarding what legions to start. So the question are:-For a mechnized/tank company style army what legion would be the best?-Is there a "knight" style legion. We know all marines are technicaly knights in space, but is or are there legions specialy inspired by european knights?-Is there a legion that is good with other stuff then war. Like High Arts, or Architecture etc. Hope the questions aren't too stupid. If they are we are sorry. In advance thank you for any advice.
