It seems very gay to "fall in love" with an NPC. I can kind of understand why guys develop an affection for book or cartoon characters, because although that's cringe, the creator isn't right there so you can put the fact they were created by some dude out of your mind. But in a TTRPG you literally have some dorky guy describing a woman he made up. It's fucking gay
