I wish wotc made Kobolds a playable race in 5.5e again (my group recently switched over and the gm is a by-the-books type of guy). I don't care about the stats or abilities, I just like kobolds

Kobolds are added back into the game. Inspired by charop tales of Pun-Pun, one of the writers adds in a bunch of questionable rules text that allows you to do stupid shit with them again. Now considered overpowered and mechanically clunky, Kobolds are banned from nearly every table playing D&D. Even years later after errata, kobolds will be considered the domain of munchkins and people will pine for the days before kobolds were added back into the system.
