I miss the era of big pauldrons and that unique Lodoss-esque aesthetic (it's in Slayers too). There's something really classic about it.

Yeah, it looks a little silly but much nicer than the Space Marinesque pauldrons that everybody started using after World of Warcraft came out.

I used to hate pauldron core.
I didn’t know yet that I would get succeeded by game of thrones mud core and later 5e Alphabet soup core.
We didn’t know how good we had it.
Muscle chads and booba stacies with stupid ass armors
The armors didn’t get any more realistic either since then just lamer
