I wish I could say yes, but I didn't, I was so miserable I couldn't bring myself to lose that group. I called him and apologized for it. He wasn't mad at me. He accepted there was nothing I could have done. I didn't want to destroy the entire group. Maybe I should have. I really hate myself for losing my honor that day. At the very least, I did offer him to join another RPG campaign a few times. I still hang out with him sometimes. In fact he's the only member of that group I seek out to hang with one-on-one. He always thanks me for driving him places and offers me gas money but as far as I see it at this point it's the absolute least I can do.

I will say I have definitely taken some steps to make sure I can quickly evacuate my possessions if things go wrong. I have photo evidence I can use to hit them for destruction of property if they do go berserk. I don't think they would, but I also have an inventory of what is over there at their place, with photo evidence, so I can reclaim all of my stuff, and anything I don't get back I WILL take them to small claims court over.

I would like to at least finish my current campaign with them before that happens though.

I feel shitty for ghosting them. But I just genuinely couldn't fucking stand them. They were insufferable cunts. For example on New Year's Eve I worked instead of meeting up with them but then met them the next day. When I got there they were all eating and said they didn't order anything for me to "punish me" for not showing up the night before. That's just one example of their disrespectful and shitty behaviour. I'm happier without them and have a new group but I do wish I'd just told them I couldn't stand being around them anymore instead of just dissapearing.

I have 2 but they are sort of boring, one my IRL group from high school
