Upon further review of the Psychic change, it only actually buffs two units for Eldar; Eldrad with Mind War, and the Corsair Voidscarred Way Seeker with Executioner. The former already hits on 2+, and the latter is a glorified Smite that already hits on 3+.The faction of wizards recieved basically nothing from the Psychic buff.

So I just watched a bunch of videos and read the preview articles and all that, and I have to say that for most of the changes, I'm pretty happy. They seem to have an emphasis on making the game feel more cinematic or realistic, and taking away some of the things that either feel bad and look bad on the table.A couple of the changes worry me, like Hidden could be difficult to balance properly and fast melee like jump packs in general being a lot stronger is going to need some points adjustments, but overall I'm liking what I have seen.I play SoB (with exorcists and castigators) and guard with a ton of heavy weapon teams and basilisks, so I'm somewhat worried about the general stronger melee and Hidden stuff, but honestly I'm fine and I'll just adjust either what I take or how I play since they added like some sort of spotter mechanic where Seraphim can spot for stuff or something, I didn't quite understand without the context of the other core rules but one of the videos talked about it.Oh and the new "disposition" rules sound awesome too.It feels good, I was already hoping to play more since my army has been sitting on a shelf for a while now and this feels like as good excuse as any.

Used extra parts from my chaos lord in terminator armor kit to make a chaos terminators squad pop. The chain fist and lightning claws are a huge improvement. Also used the power fist from the newer chaos lord kit on the terminator with the autocannon. Looks neat.

I'm kind of stuck between aesthetics at the moment, I'm building and painting a Red Corsair Raiders army, mainly because I really like Huron and the MOM's, but I might do a bunch of word bearers too, the new sorcerer detachment in 11th looks pretty sweet. I'd like to play this with a couple bricks of terminators and chosen with their respective sorcerer characters leading them, and fill out the rest with Cultists, and maybe a landraider for the chosen. Black Legion with Abaddon and an Iron Warriors with Kravek and Vashtorr can be pretty sick too.
And with the two wraithlords, squad of wraithguard, and rangers from the last few weeks that's more than half the Eldar stuff I got painted up. Everything else in this pic except the Dire Avengers/Howling Banshees are primed, and I got two more Spiritseers and a Warlock Skyrunner left to prime. It's a nice feeling to paint up 1000+ points of an army in a few weeks. Now to work on my Knight Destrier.>>98082086It's a common tip for painting yellow stuff to do an undercoat of pink/purple before doing the yellow. The purple creates a darker tone when the contrast goes over it and creates those natural shadows right away (You can see this best on the legs of the Wraithblades) without having to go in with some sort of wash later on.
