>>98084782For one, Legion art, as always, is beautiful. Makes me miss the FFG Rpg even more.
>>98084634>VT-49ykw? not a bd idea, was planning to maybe make them a defector, because they do have a penchant for... order, but would eventually find the empire too corrupt for its effective application.Though it might be hard to disguise those as any way independent vessels in imperial space. I was thinking more of a individual pilot/small crew craft rather than something with multiple rooms and a mess hall and stuff. But beggars cant be choosers. That VT-49 is especially sexy as a HQ ship. Thanks!
>>98084782Looks good, but we'd need more info on what the various clans, upgrades like shields, rockets or flame projectors and keywords do to really judge them. The basic Mandos hit a nice middle ground between Stormies and Clones.Native Range 3 on Warriors with the GALAAR is cool but I wonder if it's worth the cost since their melee output is so much better and the Fire Support teams already fill the range 3 niche well enough.>120pts for Kryze VetsHoly shit. I expected them to be over 100pts but that's rough even with their profile. 5 wounds with surging red save and impervious is tanky on paper but dice are a fickle bitch. As for the weapons, I think the Shukur looks pretty great. The micro-grenade launcher will be nice for an extra body on the elite mandos. Not really sold on the sniper, it looks worse than the pre-patch snipers and about as expensive. With Range 4 Rockets that might be a good way to punch a hole in something tough.
>>98084912The A-24 Sleuth is probably the most logical choice for a Rebel space EW and recon ship. It's more like a large fighter than a light freighter, though.
>>98084579In case you're wondering about the new Mando movie, It's the most average, milquetoast thing out there
>>98084585Bit vague. Temptation in what way? Would Padme be willing to go to such lows if Anakin were the one in danger? idk

>>98085246Obi-Wan and Yoda can't talk shit the way they had planned to launch Luke at the Emperor like a missile from day one.
Tomorrow Mandalorian and Grogu will save Star Wars
>>98084998Nice, kind of reminds me of the sith infiltrator Maul had in episode 1, which I also considered, but that seems like something stupid hard to come across, even like 30-40 years later. But yah, I was thinking something large fighter size, like maybe like an ARC-170 but designed for Electronic warfare and recon rather than gunship stuff.>>98085219Maybe, he values power, but also appreciates the need to acknowledge others when they prove competent and give some leeway for second chances. He sees which way the wind is blowing and he is here to make sure that it has some back bone and doesn't just turn into a hippy commune.
>>98085065Kinda what I expected to hear, desu. If I wasn't so damn busy, I'd probably still go and see it.
>>98085246This is the second time in as many months I've seen someone else mention The Lion King 2. Not as shocking this time given the circumstances, but still a little surprising. I watched it a fair bit as a kid, but I don't think I'd ever seen it brought up outside of, like, a Disney sequel tierlist until this year. Was starting to feel like I was one of the only people on Earth who remembered it.
>>98085065For better or for worse it felt firmly Solo-tier imo.Surprisingly Rotta felt like the most interesting character in the film despite his cliche personality.
Which system makes the force the most flavorful and interesting?
>>98085420nta but I sometimes bring it up because zira is hot.
>>98085420There's also Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, I mean Lion King 1 ½
>>98085338>large fighter size, like maybe like an ARC-170The ARC's presentation next to the tiny Jedi pod fighters and vulture droids made is look larger than it it. It has roughly the same footprint as an X-Wing. It just has more crew crammed inside it. The A-24 is considerably larger than either.
>>98085457Probably FFG's Star Wars. The Destiny Points system is partly greasing the wheels with narrative convention, partly "The Force did it". Force users don't play like D&D wizards.Even the Force die is designed thematically, with the same number of light and dark pips, but more faces with dark ones.
>>98085547Somehow I've seen more about that one over the years. May just be because it's a popular example of the problems that result when you try and make the comic relief the main characters.
So I finally watched Maul Shadow Lord. While the animation was beautiful, I couldn't help but think, what was the point of it all? Like what did the show add to the overall story? It introduces an apprentice that Maul tries to recruit. Why if we never see her again and she never appears in any of the pre established shows? If they introduced an original jedi character surviving that would have been neat, but attaching her to Maul ruins it
>>98086022Reminds me of the Dark Horse comics: be pretty, be cool, and see what sticks
>>98084579>What features do you introduce to upgrade the platform?Emergency flotation devices to make water landings more recoverable.>>98085420Strange. My friend group mentions it frequently. "Zira's Lullaby" and "One of Us" in particular, since our games see a lot of exile and revenge plots. For Star Wars in particular, Kovu's a great example of a Sith-apprentice-turned-Jedi PC.
>>98085065I heard they kind of genocide the Hutts in this one?
What can we get from the Mando movie as game material?
>>98086762Martin Scorcese plays an alien vendor who cooks some genuinepy delicious looking street food.
>>98085338>reminds me of the sith infiltrator Maul had in episode 1, which I also considered, but that seems like something stupid hard to come across,Well tbf it is a Star Courier, which lore wise were basically luxury made to order ships with a limited production run. So it was never a commercial ship in the first place.
>>98086022She'll probably be Disney canon Darth Talon. She'll probably get her own show, or take over as Shadow Lord when she kicks Maul's ass out of the show. That's why he's so broken in Rebels. Maybe she'll fight Ahsoka or Luke after a time skip, or be an older master mind for Rey's spin-off. Is that still happening? I feel like it's been cooking for a decade.
I cannot get over how hilariously poetic it is that Maul spends his entire life getting KWABed.>kill Qui-Gon, immediately get bisected by Obi-Wan>spend years going insane on junk planet>get saved by Savage, come back, decide to become epic crime lord and get even with Kenobi by sticking your saber in his girl>successfully build empire, keikaku Vizla, get your revenge on Kenobi>immediately dunked on by Sheev, lose your only friend in the process>manage to escape, try and reconsolidate your hold on Mandalore and the crime empire you're building>also try and bait a fight with Kenobi again, along with dragging Anakin in so you can fuck up Sheev's plan and get double the revenge>actuallyr the prodigal daughter, ensuring Sheev can groom Anakin unmolested>lose anyway>escape Order 66, set off to rebuild your criminal empire a second time, since that's the only productive thing you ever did>make progress, get crushed by Vader, proving you were never a match for him and Sheev was right all along about you being a bitch-ass Sith>re-rebuild your criminal empire a third time, somehow get cheated out of it by Qi'Ra, either outplayed our so consumed by revenge that you abandon it>end up adrift on fucking Malachor, try and take a second apprentice, get cucked by Ahsoka (again)>get a second chance with Ezra, get cucked by the kid's own willpower this time>deprived of everything you ever wanted in life, set off for a final showdown with Kenobi>he bisects you, again, in a single stroke>die the Eternal KWAB of Star Wars
Is Electric Judgment cool or just more greycope? On one hand, something as natural as the weather feels less darkside than a mind trick. On the other hand, we only ever see Palpatine use it to torture people. It doesn't seem to have any practical use besides torture. Does he even kill anyone with it? I'm pretty sure it shouldn't do any damage.
>>98087148Maul is Sisyphushttps://youtube.com/shorts/eF4pQWLy6KE
>>98087156Force lightning being a dark side ability is just a consequence of how the EU liked to generalize every aspect of the setting from the movies (Palpatine used the force to generate lightning, therefore force lightning is evil).
>>98087156>greycopeHow is it greycope? It's an ability totally usable by normal Jedi and doesn't require the dark side to channel. 'Grey Jedi' shit would be using actual Sith lightning.
I feel like the archetypal grey jedi in my mind is a badass who uses lightning, but, like, in a cool chill way. Sort of Starkiller territory, honestly. I feel like he's half the blueprint. Light side Sith is, like, another 20 percent.
>>98087175To be fair that's pretty typical of the Jedi attitude in universe anyway. Mechu-deru is considered a dark side ability even though it doesn't actually require the dark side to use, but because Sith invented it Jedi consider it taboo regardless.
Post tabletop games.
>>98087355Can't. Don't play any.
You ever notice how Qui-Gon is described as a weird and unorthodox jedi, but besides taking Anakin he's never really described as such? Yoda, likewise, is the ultra orthodox jedi grand master, but in practice he's sort of the weird guy who lives on quest mountain.
>>98077646>>98077555>>98076173Actually, looking now at the book that originally gave this info(which as far as I can tell is the cross section book), the line that mentions the V-wings and the Eta-2s are connected together with a colon, while every other description is connected by semicolons. So I think this might actually be the case, it's SUPPOSED to be an either or / a mixture of the two up to 192 ships, not 192 of both. Every other instance of ship complements being listed out in the book has the individual ship types being separated by semicolons, and not regular colons, with this being the soul exception. So yea, I think the Venators carrying capacity is indeed supposed to actually only be 228, plus 40 or so LAATs, and not the 420 ships its been misinterpreted as due to unclear punctuation with two really similar looking symbols. I had to copy paste the pdf into a word document just to confirm that it really was two different punctuations being used.
>>98084988I don't think you want to take GALARs on warriors. If I were to start a mando army, I'd run warriors with the grenade launchers and support squads with SHUKURs
>>98086586Mando wrecks shit on Nal Hutta and then New Republic rolls in to bomb the palace

>>98084579>You're Incom and just landed a deal with the New Republic to extend the service life of the X-Wing. What features do you introduce to upgrade the platform?I ask the starfighter pilots what they think the X-wing needs.
>>98087459Yeah, if I had to build a Mando army I'd definitely start with something like that.To be honest, I've considered getting mandos and giving them headswap to Stormtrooper helmets to play them as some kind of post-Empire Remnant/Mercenary company using whatever weapon and armor they can salvage.

Are there any Star Wars skirmish games that don't need proprietary dice? I printed a lot of Star Wars figures but the amount of cards, tokens and fucked up dice needed seem very off-putting to me.
>>98087649Some anon keeps talking about using WEG D6 for wargame:http://d6holocron.com/downloads/wegcore.htmlBut keep in mind you'll have to come up with your own restrictions for balance, scenarios and deployments unless you just want to play two teams shooting each other until one dies since it's more of an rpg system at heart. If you are not against a more setting agnostic system Stargrave works pretty well as usual:https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://files.spawningpool.net/docs/Vault2.0.-.TTRPG-Gamebooks/Stargrave/Osprey%2520Games%2520-%2520Stargrave%2520-%2520Science%2520Fiction%2520Wargames%2520in%2520the%2520Ravaged%2520Galaxy%2520By%2520Joseph%2520A%2520McCullough%2520True%2520Pdf%2520%257BOWG%2520026%257D.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjvqtvQxcyUAxVsVKQEHXHDCd0QFnoECCkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0nJe-tMHvOHGhvoTruTKVTLegion also has a Spec Ops mode which does not use proprietary range rulers iirc:https://cdn.svc.asmodee.net/production-amgcom/uploads/2024/11/Spec-Ops_Small.pdfIt does use weird FFG dice, so you'll need a conversion chart:https://www.reddit.com/r/SWlegion/comments/rgczfu/legion_dice_with_their_numeric_values/Iirc, you could easily convert Spec Ops to use a D6 and D8 since surges would be equivalent to a +1 to the result. You can also use Imperial Assault:https://ia-continuityproject.com/about-the-project/https://classic.tabletopadmiral.com/imperialassault/But you'll again need to convert the D6 (pic related)Finally you could play Shatterpoint and, again, convert the D6/D8.Sorry for the long post, it's also rather superficial but I'd need a lot more rext to go into more details for each of these.
>>98087734Thanks a lot for the info. I found some custom armies for OPR that could work but they looked a bit generic.
>>98087734In theory, you could convert Legion to use normal d6 and d8. What is it with people and a hateboner for proprietary dice?>>98087504>headswapSounds pretty sovlful to me.
>>98087417I don't think any other jedi would have done the zany race plot
>>98087782Is he bringing in the imperial guy to get raped by all those NR pilots?
>>98087746>In theory, you could convert Legion to use normal d6 and d8Exactly, it's even easier for Spec Ops since Surges/Critical/Cover would all be equivalent to +1 on the affected die.>What is it with people and a hateboner for proprietary dice?I love Legion a lot but I can easily understand the hate for proprietary tools. People like when something can just be played with a tape measure and some dice grabbed from anywhere. It's just cheaper and less of a hassle than having to convert funky dice.OP also said he wasn't too fond of gamey stuff like cards and tokens which is fair: tokens and cards do clutter Legion tables a lot even as it makes things easier to remember, and the command cards, abilities and some upgrades can feel like gotchas to new players.
>>98087746>>98087809Also, not to get too political but proprietary tools are a way to exert corporate control over a game and IP, also making the whole thing harder to play when Asmodee decides the game is no longer profitable enough.
>>98087860Idk, Anon. The way I see it, Legion dice/range and movement rulers make the game much more convenient. You don't have dickheads cheating an extra inch or two in every move. You can immediately tell how many hits you got.But again, you can just convert the range and movement rulers and dice to generics.
>>98087417Qui-Gon's unorthodoxy comes from him holding different philosophical views on the nature of the Force than the more orthodox Jedi, mostly in him placing more emphasis on the Living Force instead of the Cosmic Force. To a non-Jedi the difference would probably seem meaningless and inconsequential, like how early Christians had huge arguments about whether Jesus is simultaneously man and God, or an aspect of God incarnated as man.
>>98088000So he was a reddit user?
>>98088000Wish that came up at all in the movies, aka tier 1 canon.
Did you ever have a game session with this feel?
>>98087148That's a weird way to say they keep bringing him back because they're still reliant on member berries and can't come up with anything new.>>98087171Freddie Prince Jr is a dumbass. He needs to not talk about Star Wars lore, ever.
>>98087156>It doesn't seem to have any practical use besides torture. Does he even kill anyone with it? I'm pretty sure it shouldn't do any damage.Force Tazer. You can use it to overload someone's nervous system to disable rather than kill. In that regard, Light Side Force Lightning would probably be even more painful, because the goal would be the overload them into unconsciousness as quick as possible without prolonging suffering.
>>98087799Just one, that dave jewloni one by the bar.

>>98085231I know she was originally planned to kill Anakin, though idk about her becoming a Seppie.Honestly my question is how much effort it would take to push her into being an Imperial or going alongside Anakin's proposals at Mustafar, since there are various quotes of Lucas explaining that by that point Padme felt old Anakin was gone (though still remained deep inside)
>>98087799Its amazing how the gallons of gallons of rape crimes committed by the Rebelion and NR are just sweeped under the rug.
my Bothan wife :)
The new Mando movie was mid but the Merc droids protecting the twins were honestly really cool, I love the mix of parts and them being mostly modified B-1s and B-2sIt's a shame they job so fucking hard, harder than the clone saga
>>98086022Your argument is the same one of people who says what is the point of Andor if we know he dies in Rogue One?
>>98089734Andor fleshed out the rebellion, how it started and operated. Also how the Empire was becoming more tyrannical What did Maul Shadow Lord flesh out?
>>98086022>why did they make the prequels we already know anakin and obi wan and palpatine die
>>98090305>Andor fleshed out the rebellion, how it started and operated. Also how the Empire was becoming more tyrannicalNone of this needed fleshing out. We knew Empire was tyrannical ever since 1977. It also did not flesh out anything about how the Rebellion started. It started off screen in between the arcs. Other Star Wars works have already fleshed it out. Andor focused on, well, Andor, and Luthen Rael and other Glup Shittos, who were not even mentioned in Rogue One.>What did Maul Shadow Lord flesh out?Using your exact reasoning, I can do the same: it fleshed out how Maul and what left of his syndicate operated after Clone Wars, it set up him and Dryden Vos taking over Crimson Dawn, and him gaining a new apprentice. It also showed how the Empire takes over a neutral planet and takes over its law enforcement operations. How's that? See, the reality is that all these shows are needless filler.
>>98090483Frankly the most irritating thing is how lazy they are.The Star Wars setting has tens of thousands of years of history pre-packed into it (Or did when Disney bought it), they could set a series anytime, anywhere about anyone. But everything is basically segmented into a 30 year restriction zone. They won't go forward because whoops we fucked the Sequels and they won't go back because whoops, no nostalgia for that right? They could make people want it, but instead they just fuck around between Prequels and Originals, milking it for all it's worth.
>>98090509Well, yeah. Because it's recognizable. You have all the characters people are already fans of, you have stormtroopers, star destroyers - all the recognizable star wars shit. You already have a baseline audience who will show up no matter what. Making totally new stuff is risky, so Disney won't do it. They tried with Acolyte and High Republic, but that flopped horrifically.
>>98090526Except they never make shit around characters people want. No Luke, Leia, Han (yes I know Solo exists, it sucks and there are more stories that could be told), Chewie, the droids, Yoda, etc. Closest we got was the Kenobi TV show which was more about the black inquisitor bitch. We're stuck with fucking secondaries all the time. I don't give two fucks about this random Boba Fett knockoff with merchandizable Yoda figurine, I want an actual Boba Fett show with him doing bounties.
>>98084579I know the OP has links to the different RPGs but which of them would be best for being a group of scumfuck mercs
>>98090541>which of them would be best for being a group of scumfuck mercsI'd recommend Traveller personally if you want to go for something more Republic Commando over Adventuring Antics. It works remarkably well for the Star Wars setting.
>>98090535Don't worry. I have a feeling you'll get your CGI monstrocity Luke soon enough.
>>98090553I get they ate shit with Han's recast but that's because the actor sucked ass. They should just bite the fucking bullet and recast the characters in a proper way with good actors.
>Disney>Doing good or sensible things in current yearMight as well ask for the moon on a stick while we're talking unrealistic expectations.

>>98090483>None of this needed fleshing out.WEG source books disagree. Heir To The Empire disagrees. Shadows of the Empire disagrees. Rogue Squadron and the X-Wing books disagree.
>>98089396I thought that there were too much droids, I was expecting the hutts to have some loyal alien footsoldiers besides the monsters in the sewer.
>>98085065Good, every time the mouse tries to do something novel they fuck it up.
>>98084579>What features do you introduce to upgrade the platform?Stealth. It's the only thing it's missing. But I would also swap out the proton launcher for a Taim & Bak beam cannon, it's superior artillery that doesn't run out of ammo.
>>98090667Not really. None of this irrelevant, obscure fanfiction stuff matters. No offense. It did not NEED fleshing out. It was forced upon us by nature of the franchise getting milked more and more. Hundreds of millions of people get on with their lives just fine by only having ever seen the movies, having no idea any of that book stuff even exists, and they understand Star Wars perfectly, and dare I say even better than people who had read thousands of pages of derivative fiction that ruined all the magic, wonder and mystery, defining things that never needed to be defined, and needlessly convoluting and fanfic OC'ing everything.
>>98084912>individual pilot/small crew craftHWK-290. Size, speed and handling of a starfighter, more roomy interior, tons of room for modifications. It doesn't come with weapons but you can fix that, the size means you don't actually need a co-pilot, and even after putting in a weapon system or two there's still room for stealth tech to stay out of the fight.
>>98085457I've played a few systems, FFG is the first one that didn't make the Force feel overpowering to everything else.

>>98091022When the mouse tries to add to the plot, Palpatine somehow returns. When they don't, we get far better results. Everything they've made that isn't crap, doesn't push any plot but it's own.
>>98087148>get even with Kenobi by sticking your saber in his girlLet's phrase that differently, perhaps?
>>98087156For FFG Force rules, I'd allow it as a way to use the Unleash power that only does strain damage, and can only be accessed if you use only white pips.
>>98087175It's also "a Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never attack", which is a better reason. >>98089396>>98090690The Droid Gotra is supposed to be its own syndicate, so the fact that they were working security for some hutts is demeaning to them and to the Twins for having to outsource their protection.
>>98090483>None of this needed fleshing out. We knew Empire was tyrannical ever since 1977.They were at their most hateable in Andor though, that's why the show "sold" their tyranny best compared to how other series tend to just designate them as obligatory bad guys. >It also did not flesh out anything about how the Rebellion started.Basically Luthen was the MVP. Without Luthen, the original trilogy wouldn't have happened at all.
So can anybody tell me lorewise if there's a difference between "Turbolasers" and "Medium Turbolasers"? It's a label you occasionally see on some vessels, but I can't help but feel like it's just a more wordy way of saying regular turbolasers, right? If the turbolasers were heavier than normal for more firepower, you'd call them heavy turbolaser. If they were lighter than normal for more rapid firing, you'd call them light turbolasers. But if they're right in the middle, moderate in power... that just means they're regular turbolasers. Is there something else that I'm missing? Or is "medium turbolaser" an entirely redundant description?
>>98091118
>>98091499>most hateable in AndorI'm pretty sure it was when they blew up a planet of innocent people for nothing but a weapon demonstration.
>>98091591Yes although we never see Alderaan in the movie, get to know any of its people aside fron Leia, or even learn the consequences of this action. If anything, Leia gets over it rather quickly and it's never brought up again in the trilogy.Compare that to Ferrix or Ghorman where we at least learn about the inhabitants, their relationships, even a bit about their culture, before the Empire cracks down on all of them.
>>98091499lollmao evento both of your points
>>98084579Im not going to lie, I prefer the way the force was handled in a new hope compared to the empire strikes back and onwards. You dont see any overt physical evidence of the force like luke picking up his x-wing from the swamp, its just premonitions, sensations, tricks of the mind, and sounds around the corner. I guess vader's choke is the one exception. but even that could be construed as a trick of the mind, like he forces him to not be able to consciously breath. in a way I find that a lot more interesting than fucking >telekinesis, lolmakes it feel more like a universal constant you can tap into rather than a finite amount of energy you can put into something in a physical way.Next time I get a chance at game night, I think ill take the Corran Horn route of jedi with little to no telekinesis, just mind influence, esp, and maybe 10 foot pounds worth of telekinetic ability.
>>98091696Because the Force isn't finite, the user is
>>98089373ever ask an alien supremacist what race her boyfriend is.
>>98091500It’s probably something to do with the configuration, even if the results are the same.
>>98091500Turbolaser is a class of weapon, there are variants within that class. A Stinger and an ICBM are both missiles, but they are extremely different
It's out, surprised they even bothered to cover ithttps://youtu.be/CByWbgzOgqQ?si=m4pwCUcCHWhBR5cm
>>98091711still, I like it as something more subtle and nudging rather than overt and physically super evident.
>>98090931>a grey vegetarianSo a reducetarian
>>98084579How would /swg/ run a game in a balkanized Hutt space, fractured initially by a enemy attack on Nal Hutta and the death of the preeminent slug? What shady shit could a conniving rump Empire convince a rising Hutt to do in the name of credits and stabilizing their claim to power, and how deep would a self-righteous New Republic probe into Hutt territory in the name of freedom and liberation?
>>98090958I'm running one (so more miss new content), and it's taking up all my free time. But it means a lot to get your invite, anon. Thank you.
>>98091943Look at the Ash Worlds for your setting, at least.
Is there anything lorewise that says that lightsabers can only be wielded by Force users? This isn't for a game or anything, just a shower thought I had that wouldn't leave my mind.
>>98092241Not really.Grievous uses lightsabers but he is also cybernetically enhanced. In the EU, Orman Tagge in the old Marvel comic and Jarael in the KotOR comic among others used a lightsaber well enough despite being normalfags. In TCW you have Pre Vizsla using the Darksaber which is a lightsaber in all but name against Obi-Wan and later Maul and giving them a reasonable challenge despite being a Forcelet. The Force isn't necessary but it probably helps.
>>98092241Nope. It's just a weapon most often associated with the Jedi.Grievous was not a Jedi or force user, and used lightsabers. The Mandos had a not-a-lighsaber sword, and were not Force users..
>>98092241I think in kotor there's a description somewhere that says non-force sensitives are just as likely to hurt themselves if they use them or somethingin the mando or book of boba we see this where din does a move that barely grazes his leg and he's seriously hobbled for it
>>98092241You can use one without being able to use the Force, but you probably won't do very well because you're literally bringing a sword to a gunfight. A sword that can cut through nearly anything, but without the Force a normal human wouldn't be able to react fast enough to deflect blaster bolts back at the shooters.
>>98092305Spectacular filename
>>98092241No, but they can be hard to handle because kyber crystals have an innate Force connection, so whether the wielder has a connection themselves or not it still has an effect, such as Din Djarin's inner conflict making the darksaber hard to use. They also don't respond to momentum the way a physical weapon does, because the blades are an energy loop, like a plasma chainsaw, which makes them harder to get a hang of for most people. They also store momentum like a capacitor, all the flourishes and spins Anakin does that people criticize, have a real purpose, he literally hits harder because he does it.
>>98092305I wanted to use this character in a game but knew if I did, it would automatically make me look like a horny nerd.I wish there was more of this character.
Something I liked about Kannan and Sabine practising with the Darksaber was that it showed Mandos had perfectly crafted their gear and tactics to fight Jedi centuries prior but could not get around the Force. The ultimate material vs spiritual warriors.Only when Sabine was able to come to terms with herself did she grow accustomed to the weight of the hilt and the reach of the blade.
>>98091804That's a very common sentiment with older SW stuff, a lot of fans like what Lucas was forced to do in '77 due to budget, and don't care for the choices he made when he had more options. A lot of people prefer Obi-Wan and Vader's original fight, they think it feels more like a chess match between masters who are skilled enough to respect their opponent, rather than the style of duels in the prequels, on the other hand there are people who think this is the better version:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to2SMng4u1k
>>98092501Embrace it, I almost never use unsexy ISB agents that chase the PCs and pick one for them to have a creepy obsession with, so long as you don't use human women every time it's fine. I used a shaved wookie once that was determined to make one of the PCs her mate, everyone but him thought it was hilarious.
>>98092534>ISB agent>wookieeHuh? Aren't they enslaved on sight?
>>98092571It is a common thing among captives, especially long-term captives like slaves, that there will be some who cooperate with their captors against their fellow captives for better food/lodging/power/freedoms etc
>>98092534Reminds that Kannan from Rebels had Rae Sloane chasing after him and the comic art of her holding him a blasterpoint, gave her some impressive cans.
>>98092571Just have him voiced by Uncle Ruckus and players will get what's going on.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRaes3eaeD4
>>98092297>>98092305>>98092323>>98092327Thanks, guys- maybe now my mind will stop screaming at me.
>>98092493>so whether the wielder has a connection themselves or not it still has an effect>Din Djarin's inner conflict making the darksaber hard to use>all the flourishes and spins Anakin does that people criticize, have a real purpose, he literally hits harder because he does itWhile I'm sure you're right, it all sounds really silly
>>98087148You forgot Son of Dathomir, which imo adds to his tragedy. His loyalists break him out, but his mother, the only real connection he has left, uses him as a pawn in her own scheme to get Sidious. He's very much the Sith in a microcosm, no matter how hard the defeat, how humiliating the ritual, how crippling the wounds or how sensible his other options. He. Keeps. Going.
One thousand systems stand against tyranny Will (YOU) be one of them?
>>98092709>>98092700Speaking of Separatist propaganda, I've been reading through some of the old RPG books, and man people really overblow the fragility of CIS ships. They say they're really weak, but actually the recusants and munificents have hp and armor on par or better than anything not a dreadnought or venator, and actually have really strong shielding across the board. Providences too have better hp and shields than venators do, and even Imperial era ships a lot of time have weaker shields. People are seriously sleeping on how good Separatist ships are. Munificents are the weakest in armor and even then you'd still be better off than in an acclamator. They make great support ships.
>>98092571It made the player really uncomfortable so it's fine, because its funny.
>>98092612A lot of things get added to canon after the fact in order to justify things that are the result of less that great writing.
>>98092746It's often a common belief that separatist stuff was bad quality-infinite quantity but the deeper you look into it the more you realize nearly every droid, vehicle and piece of equipment was actually way better than you'd expect and specially the navy's quality was straight up flawless. It's just that the clones were literally *that* good of an army and years of experience only made them 10 times better + Palpatine self sabotaging the Separatists
>>98092880God I fucking love the Clone Wars man
>>98092241No. Han uses Luke's in ESB to split open the tauntaun. The problem with a lightsaber is not that you can't use it at all* but that it's incredibly fucking DIFFICULT to use. You can learn to use it, but remember that you are always going to be swinging around a sword that has all its weight in the hilt, and the blade itself is weightless or near enough to it. And it's a sword where one wrong move will see you slice your own leg or arm or ear or head off if you get even fractionally wrong. And on top of all that, the biggest reason to use a lightsaber is inaccessible to you. They deflect blaster bolts and other energy (and some projectile) weapons. But you need to have a Force user's enhanced reaction speed and literal precognition AND let the Force guide you AND BE TRAINED (often for years) in order to use a lightsaber to its full potential. If you can't use it properly, why not just bring a blaster? They're much easier to learn how to use.* Important qualifier. Some lightsabers in Legends were designed with an internal button/circuit that had to be triggered using the Force, so if you weren't FS and didn't know the trick, you literally could not ignite the blade at all.
>>98092297Maul pretty much wipes the floor with Vizsla, he's constantly on the retreat and spends more time using Mando trickery like grappling hooks and his jetpack to stay away than he does duelling.
>>98092713He shmovin'.>>98092700>>98092709I like Star Wars propaganda.
>>98092920Like Holorcroms!
>>98092924I legitimately love maul as a character. He's allowed to have all this character development, be a protagonist, and have a legitimately decent show about him even though he doesn't have a cock&balls. Idk it just made me feel good to see a dude be worth more than his jubbly bits. He loses them but he doesn't give a flying fuck and continues to be a badass the whole time.
>>98092603
>>98092880The ordinary battle droids, and even the B2s, are repeatedly called out as being literal trash tier made by the lowest bidder and with the Trade Federation and Techno Union skimping out and cutting every corner possible. Only the commando droids and the droidekas were half-decent.>>98092746Munificents were originally used by the Banking clan to ferry wealth around, of course they'd be decent with shields. But they're basically the spaceship equivalent of big armoured cars with giant guns strapped on.
>>98090725>t. mindless consooming sloplocustI honestly can't imagine having the self-awareness to recognise I am such a subhuman specimen without immediately being drive to suicide. Genuinely, what's it like having no identity beyond "that was fine, don't care, next slop plz"?
>>98090931Pablo is a fat little retard and shows it even when he's trying to smugly dismiss stuff; vegetarian itself is just "grey vegan", and there are still loads of "not quite full-veggie" schools of thought - pescatarians, plant-based, etc.

Hey everyone, I'm not Jon Favreau but if I hypothetically were, how about pitching me your own ideas for a The Mandalorian storyline? Only for a single season, bonus points if it does not rely on Glup Shittos.(just by replying to this post you have automatically waived your right to legally ask for story credit or royalties if your pitches were to hypothetically appear onscreen on an actual official season of The Mandalorian)
I've been away from 4chan for a long time. What the fuck is a Glup Shitto? Is that the zoomer/gen alpha slang for OCs?
>>98093834Origin story, showing young Din Djarin with his Din Daddy learning about being a Mandolorian in the Era of the Empire.
>>98093799The Non-HuMan rules and regulations are a bit looser on the "man" part in NuCanon than Legends. There are more women in service of the Empire though higher ranking one in field positions are still exceedingly rare. The further away you go from the core worlds the looser the regs tend to get. For example Daedra is the only woman in the ISB coruscant inner circle and it really shows that she has to claw her way up the chain tooth and nail to get anywhere in her career.

>>98093977Oh and skin color doesn't come in to play as long as you are a human (or near human enough and praise the empire above your own culture).
