Do effects like this happen as a sort of ETB effect when you cast them for their mutate cost, or does it only trigger after you mutate another creature onto them? I would have to assume the former because then otherwise that seems kind of shit having to pay a billion mana for a shitty removal effect.
>>98109164Because sultai is homosexual
Ok guys hear me out I need a good 2 color aggro commander to play on a tight budget (50 USD), so far my options are:>Winota: kinda falls apart if she gets removed, but absolutely wins if doesn't, needs at least 15 protection cards, but people will moan about he>Arabella: kinda slow, commander centric and not that powerful >Anim pakal: kinda like a worst winota>Isshin: it builds itself, braindead and 3 colors is hard for budget, specially without green>Necrobloom: lands decks are powerful, but I don't know if it works on that budget Level >Eriette: cool, but too slow Suggestions please
>>98109218They do both
well this thread fucking sucked ass also what does every secret lair come with a bonus card? I recently got my first one and just want to know
>>98109218Mutate happens whenever a mutate creature spell resolves and adjusts the object its targeting. That object has all the text of everything in the pile, and you get all the relevant triggers. So, yes, the newest card "sees itself" in a way that ends up roughly analogous to ETB.
>>98109224Anim pakal.
>>98109226 (me)To elaborate, mutating causes the creatures mutated (hand C and battlefield C) to become one combined permanent as a state-based action. This means that the hand C counts as mutating for the purpose of its effects, including Harvester

>>98109297So the deck won't be double homosexual
>>98109224necrobloom just jam in landfall shit and aristocrats together and you've got a deck
>>98109305There is no "double" homosexual. Being gay is a quality not a quantity. Something is gay or it isn't. There is no such thing as 25% gay or whatever. Therefore Teval is always homosexual, even in monoblack
