I hate retarded commander players who pretend like they need perfectly optimized land-bases in order for three color decks to function. They don't if you pay attention to deckbuilding and aren't just running a staple pile that relies on individual card quality to carry your dumb ass across the finish line. Maybe instead of running Esper Sentinel, Dark Rit, or Mystic Remora you choose a color to focus on in the early game.

If I have three of these, my commander reduces in its casting cost by one generic each time I cast it from the command zone. If I had a commander with entirely generic mana in its casting cost, I would eventually be able to cast it for free. If I have an effect which lets me cast spells using mana as if it were mana of any colour, that wouldn't let me cast a commander with non-generic mana (e.g. green pips) in its casting cost for free, right?

Had this crazy dream last night. At my work place there was this "restructuring" going on and in order to keep our jobs we had to pass a quiz on mtg. I thought I would do well, but the questions were really weird and abstract. A lot of combat math and rules questions for cards that don't exist. Like "when Quelgoth enters, if you control a Lifestone how many counters do you put on each plant you control?" I had to write all my answers down by pen on a sheet of paper, but I kept fucking up writing and needing to scratch out and rewrite things. I started panicking, so I asked for a fresh piece of paper and they told me that wasn't allowed. The last "question" was just naming your favorite commander. Mine was a card that doesn't exist, but it was really cool. It was this mono red dwarf with really interesting artwork looking upward at him where he's posed in a half-run leading to a pointed cliff face in a dark cave, a deep red old border that looked sweet. It was a 3/2 with haste i think it looted and it had like "pay 5RRR gain control of all lands." Weird ass dream.
