How do I use Zombify effectively? Compared to this single activation, my Zombify always fews inconsistent and mediocre and like I need to activate it many times to do anything. First 3-0 in trad draft with this absolute monster list. Quandrix p1p1 and yeah it's busted as hell. >>98168795It's honestly pretty difficult, by design. You need to maintain not just a steady 60% winrate, but variance will make even a great player have the occasional 0-3. Add in the fact that the reward curve is slanted so a 2-3 and a 6-3 are worse than going 4-3 twice, and you'll inevitably have valleys to match the peaks even if you're good. Go into it as a learning experience and to see the format, and worry about results after the first dozen drafts. Despite what I said it is still a skill you can build, and doing so will make it easier to recoup the lion's share of the cost even if you don't go infinite. Plus, for most drafts you get to keep the cards so it can be good for building decks as well.

Games 2 and 3 need to not only account for cards you can bring in that are strong in the matchup, you also have to consider what sideboard hate pieces can be brought to bear against you and bring in counters for that. For example, a fast combo deck might have very little removal for game 1, but in game 2 if the meta is there's several enchantments that can interfere with the combo you can sideboard in disenchant effects to press forwards. Some decks can even completely change their win condition for sideboard games. The reason this changes your maindeck is that for every card that comes in, you should take a card out to stay at 60. That means smart deck construction thinks about what's good and bad in various situations and tries to keep the ratios vaguely even so you don't end up in situations where you're trying to bring in 8 cards but only have 2 cards you want to cut.

League and Dota are popular because you get free rotations and everyone starts out equal, MMR works much better by matching new players with either new players or the retards. CS:GO is much the same. Absolutely everything worthwhile is gold/mythic now. Every creature, every spell. On top of that, they went banhammer on everything that was playable and wasn't gold/mythic. And they've become extremely greedy by only printing good cards as gold/myhic. Cheap support common/uncommon spells, are now gold/mythic. You used to be able to build competent decks by having a few gold/mythics and playing mostly silvers/commons.4x callous sell-sword, 4x heartfire hero, 4x monastery swiftspear, 4x monstrous rage, 4x shockAnd you had the basis and most important pieces of the best deck in format. There are no top decks now can be built for so cheap.

I found decent success with the white/black starter deck before I built that one, and I built it piece by piece. I initially had like 4 random rares and it was much worse, I just kept improving it over time. I think the monowhite enchantment deck is probably the best to build though. Not the best deck, but the easiest to understand that's still cheap. The deck in this picture has only commons and uncommons and I think would probably get wins. As you get more cards you can upgrade it, and you'll have a better idea of what to use to upgrade it.Of course you can get whatever kind of deck attracts you the most instead, but some are super dependent on rares and mythics to function.
I think that part of the problem is that new players are funneled to standard as the basic/entry level format but on arena standard is probably the most competitive and punishing constructed format. you NEED to be playing a meta deck or you're just not going to get anywhere, and every wildcard you spend is probably a wildcard wasted - none of it is going to be relevant a year from now. meanwhile I can take trashfire jank into historic and grind dailies stress-free and the power gap between my worst cards and their best cards is a little bit narrower than you see in standard these days.
