nobody fucking takes defensive. it only shows up on Amazon big girls and dorf/owa long beards. It's a 40k double for players with guard access and elves aren't going to take it because they don't want to sit there and get hit and they have better shit to take. the only players who might take it are like Big 'uns on the Orc team because they already start with mighty blow but idk, dodge is only like 10k more and is better and stand firm and break tackle are both cheaper
the rogre does help with the one turns and they are trying to force it on you by getting rid of 2 gutters

current new edition blackbox win rates. MASSIVE caveat that TV based matchmaking isn't league and teams like humans over preform because they are really TV efficient and this doesn't take into account things like coach ability. like half of all dwarf games were from one retard who sucks. It's crazy that "new player" teams like Orcs, Humans and Undead are so high. you would think they would be even better without all the new players playing as them

I don't play as underworld, but two heads is the second most common underworld gutter runner skill on fumbbl after block. Two heads was the most common skill on a UD gutter in super league and that NAF tournament on fumbbl right now and it was twice as common as block or sidestep

Do you not one turn? do you play as UD and you don't do one turns? Two heads and to a lesser extent side step both make one turn touch downs more consistent. I thought the whole reason people play underworld is because they have a really good one turn because you can use the snots to fill the squares for the normal gutter runner one turn and they have to set up weird because they need to respect the throw teammate one turn

Ever since GW went full corporate during 8th with money money money and created the side games division with only intern/employee (aka complete noobs) as game designers all creativity are pretty much dead. No more one off box game. Actually there were box games for extreme limited release in EU and US, but it wasn't a new game, it's based on Gorechosen, a game made before the rapture, by a freelancer.

you don't start the game with a one turn touch down. skaven are one of the only races that regularly choose to receive if they win the toss. the only thing you do, that's kind of gay, is you don't use any rerolls on defense and some skaven/elf/underworld coaches will just completely run away and not try to play defense at all.
either way you just play your defense as normal, then when the half ends you score a 1 turn touch down and go into the 2nd half 1-1, meaning all of the other guy's work was worthless and then you try to score on turn 8 of the second half to win 2-1.
Same thing if you start on offense, you score turn 8. they do their drive and then you score on turn 8 of the second half and win 2-1.

you can still do it vs STR 4 and guard, you might need to uphill. Skaven usually take a juggernaut rat ogre and you sometimes see grab on a tree or troll to help with the OWA, wood elf and underworld one turns (underworld can take a juggernaught roger instead of a troll too.) usually people don't have more than 1 shadowing guy so you just pow him.
Worst case you play like necro or pro elves and have to deal with multiple stand firm/side step. that's why skaven take juggernaut and stand firm more often than other races. If you have a troll you probably just throw teammate. If you don't think you can one turn as elves, rats or underworld you use your defensive rerolls to dive into the cage and try to turn the guy over.
if you look at >>98169267 most of the top races are top races outside of like amazons and undead because they have good one turns.
You can do a 1 turn with amazons, but they usually stop a defense or turn them over
UW has 2 one turn threats, humans have 2 one turn threats, orcs have the goblin throw one turn, high elves have a 1 turn, snots have ttm, rats have a good 1 turn. owa has 2 1 turners

i played it once, there are missions that are literally impossible if you play rules as written. too many mechanics that are about adding things in later or only /unlocking/ heroes for later play throughs. Odd choices, feels like video game design in the worst way. dicce to move is the worst system in the fuckin world

Lessons to keep, really nice minis, bound book that lays flat for maps. first time ive seen it not ringed and still staying flat. impressive book. I love maps in a book, makes life so much easier for adventure board games

Oh yeah that certainly jog my memory. These basement adventure games are an amalgamation of spacehulk and blackstone fortress, there're also other board game like Bladeborn, Stormvault, Lost relic, Dark tide (surprisingly this one is not region limited, but nevertheless an extremely slop product with recut of existing kits that look nothing like the characters from the game) And yeah those are also diet or just reskin version of other existing games.

I was talking about Combat Arena, unlike other games, the Combat Arena games have unusual high value for the price, mainly the first one with the Blackstone fortress escalation characters, and lair of the beast with the Ambull and all Blackstone fortress characters. And before you guess it, yes scalpers gobble these up and resell at "GW price". And yes this is the "ackshually warhammer is cheaper than the competition you see" type of reply you'll get from retards and it really annoys the shit out of me.

This is a warhammer underworld + blood bowls. Instead of playing ball, you can score points by beating the shit out of the opponents, or doing objectives which give you card to perform vodoo magics. players die fast but also respawn, at the cost of your actions.

Do you not cage dive? Do you play underworld and not cage dive? I play orcs and I dodge into tackle zones if it means I can put the ball on the ground.

The problem with the game is the exact problem with other board game made by GW: it got boring, real quick. And Dark Water specifically is not a co-op game, because some characters and team compositions are just complete ass, the game has losing condition and time limit so it's more of a puzzle that best be played solo. The progression is also terrible, You gain random universal "reward card" as a form of progression, there're 0 excitement or any form of brainstorming for a character build in this game. In dark water, you get even less characters (both heroes and villains) than cursed city, for a higher price. Not to mention some of the heroes look like ass compared to the one they made in Cursed City.

There're 1 set item (consist of 3 reward cards) for each hero, and 1 universal set (which is really just a set item for some priest that didn't make it into the game). You can still use these items with any heroes, you just don't get the bonus for having the full set on wrong heroes. This just add to the point of this being a solo game, and some heroes are just too ass to even get items, so instead you just give it to another hero.

Also you move D6 (or 6 if you spent extra energy) in this game, unless you're the dwarf (always 3) or the centaur(D3+3), the dwarf also ignored trap when he spent the extra energy (and 1 enemy with his trait), while the centaur can push any heroes 1 hex. And in this game there're "time limit" scenario where you had to kill the boss within 3 turns while he hid behind legion of goons and traps. Now you get the idea : puzzle and solo game.

And last, there're "alternative character card" for the 4 starting heroes (dwarf, knight, knight lady, water bottle bitch) : these are....eh? Well certainly these won't resuscitate me from my coma after playing this game.
