It has a good MU into Aicon and Yakuza so it'll probably be fine.

It's not that CBD gets conventionally hard countered like against BelFiore or ironically Orfist, but Yakuza has every tool to handle this matchup whereas Deeplands and Aichicon will struggle in their current builds. Same with Rewinder who has restands out the ass and a backrow attacker and wasn't too badly hit.

CBD gets to play the game, but it doesn't seem to be favored.

If you lock the backrow attacker, they have their front row restanding rearguard. Vice versa on top of having the restanding vanguard.
Having a Heartluru problem would make it a bit awkward and it will start choking if it doesn't see the pieces, but being a vanguard restand deck alone automatically makes you pretty resilient to CBD, on top of having the tankiness.

I've only lost to it in playtesting where it healed 3 times.
Feels like it just folds to the 3 attacks decks do make under lock.

Aside from that SEC arguably giving Artisaria's DSR a run for its money, Artisaria actually does pretty well into CBD due to having tokens, and both funnily even have similar front row +5k and vanguard crit skills accessed by turn 4, so it's almost a mirror match.

Ironic considering what the anime had to say on 3 attack vs lock.
CBD doesn't have a Bavsargra level support backlog or advantage generation to brute force decks that can handle the control, just enough to where it's attack economy grinds out the opponent's.

Actually fully reading into the Yakuza cards, that is indeed the case and the deck is stuck with three attacks against either lock deck.
Still would say it fares by far better than Aichicon and even Deeplands due to the more threatening center line and tankiness.

After seeing Chaos Breaker get absolutely tossed by Chrono Icon even despite it checking the Brandt OT with a full frontrow im downright convinced it definitely isnt worth anything. In future support they definitely need to give it hand locks and then it will accomplish things and be scary.

Deck kind of feels carried by handchecking with glory maker on turn 4 ngl. Maybe I'm just playing it wrong but the Varpula clone not having a draw on it makes you -1 for the restand in a deck that has 2 cards that actually plus you other than the drop zone revives. One of which competes pretty hard with Infinite Zero for energy and the other competes with CBD for soul.
It's probably a good thing the deck is mid since the alternatives are worse but I'm shocked that the deck ended up being this frail after having a solid looking reveal season.
Desperately needs a card that can force call a lock card from drop to a zone the opponent chooses to not scoop to mirage and turn on the effects reliably. Can even unlock end of turn so you can draw 1 before your pass to your opponent.

Fav ate good regardless, got upgrades for his bros Hrodis and Eligos
>rideline is G1 rides up for SB1 that also has +1 grade in soul, G2 when Favrneel is ridden souls a hand card to draw 2; perfect for the deck

Special mention to an earlier reveal, but possibly the most crucial support: Hrodis' retrain that is a G2 that souls itself when discarded during ride phase, can bind itself in soul during main phase to either Persona Ride without further cost if you did not ride or Persona Ride that turn already, or very notably, LETS YOU POP OFF RHEINGOLD GOING SECOND as the first ability option, throwing the statement Avidity made a year ago about Rheingold's speed out the window.

The support was insane.
Weirdly enough I think the R has the biggest impact but the G2 RR is exactly what I wanted out of the deck, a Shenryi that can guard from soul.
New G3 is also very good, it's basically a combine rusher.
Can't wait to brew it.
Shame I'll probably have to cut squalid freaks. The double freak highroll is awesome.
