MECH INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

>Overview
Your company has been contracted by a successor state to commission a mech. You have 48 hours to construct and submit a mech design in megameklab alongside its record sheet and a sales pitch for the mech. The bids will then be compiled and voted on by Anons in the thread to determine who gets the contract. Voters should consider the mech's cost, effectiveness in the desired role, and the fluffiness of the sales pitch and description.

Year, tech base, and tech level to be used for the mech will be specified in the scenario, and should be followed.
Positive quirks must equal or be exceeded by negative quirks, with no more than 6 quirks total.
Adherence to the desired combat role, tonnage, or budget are not strictly necessary, but may impact how anons vote on your design.

Fitting thread title given a problem I'm facing.
I'm planning out my Ilclan-era army. Going to be playing SLDF. I'm thinking of having the bulk of my SLDF be Inner Sphere mechs, laid out in Lances, with a single Star of Clan Omnimechs painted up as either Smoke Jaguars, Jade Falcons or Snow Ravens, acting in support/serving as the elite core of the force. I'm going to have a single Clan Wolf warrior leading them, piloting something powerful like a Timber Wolf, Dire Wolf or Warhawk.
So basically:
Bulk of force is SLDF soldiers.
Single Star of elite Clan Warriors acting in support.
Single Clan Wolf mech piloted by the overall commander/leader of the force.
I think this'll work and be fairly interesting.
However, I'm struggling with two things. I'm trying to decide between making my Clan Star Smoke Jaguars or Snow Ravens (They won't be Jade Falcons as I want their colours to stick out against the green of the SLDF) and I haven't settled on a fluffy reason for my SLDF containing Protomechs and I WILL have Protomechs.
I'm thinking they're Snow Raven Freeborn who have been rolled into the SLDF and given Protomechs as they're the natural born children of Trueborn Aerospace Phenotype Snow Ravens, or that they're Hell's Horses Protomechs who refused to acknowledge Alaric as IlKhan and the rule of the new Third Star League, fought back, were defeated and conscripted into the SLDF.

Been awhile since I posted here, but awhile back I finished some additions to my 1st Sword of Light and David Guards forces. Went ahead and made some additions to all of the bases as well. Those facing stripes are pretty difficult! Anyway, still made some mistakes but I feel like I learned quite a bit. I tried jeweling the crusader's cockpit glass, not thrilled with it but you have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon, honored hosts. I am Elise Sorenson, representing Sorenson Industrial on Halesowen. It is my pleasure to present to you our Warden VK-B1, a refinement of our Vaktare ConstructionMech suitable for combat.

With its weight of 65 tons and maximum speed of 65 kilometers per hour, you will no doubt compare the Warden to the Thunderbolt. Much like that venerable and proven design, our proposal features a Long Range Missile launcher and high-output laser as its main weapons. The launcher is mounted on an articulated bracket over the left shoulder, while the primary laser carried over its right directly integrates a Heat Sink into its design. To support these in close quarters, a Short Range Missile pack is mounted into each forearm. The left arm also integrates into this module a standard laser as a reserve weapon, mirroring an anti-infantry model in the right. A total of 17 heat sinks allow the Warden to fire its long range weapons while moving at full speed without any heat buildup, or with minimal heat gain after utilizing its three highly controllable Jump Jets. After closing in under the launcher's range, the SRM packs can replace the LRM pod without any change in heat generation. Supplying this arsenal is a two ton bay of LRMs and one ton of SRMs, which may be replaced with Inferno ammunition at no loss in reliability. 12 and a half tons of armor allow the Warden to withstand a direct hit from a high-calibre Autocannon from the front to any limb or part of its torso. The compact size of its cockpit also reduces its profile by 12% compared to other BattleMechs of its weight class, reducing the risk of pilot loss removing it from the battle. I have had the chance to operate our working prototype myself, and believe it to be a worthy companion to the Dragons many of our lances operate.
