I feel that the endurant shield for my breachers doesn't save anywhere near as many other models now, being able to bring back breachers with the rogue trader retinue even after all their models have been killed hasn't offset that disadvantage

I love Haemonculus Covens and especially Wracks and Grotesques.
They spent an awful time through all of 10th edition where they actually lost a point of toughness in an edition that raised T for every other army, then they deleted a third of the roster in the codex, and the one new option in 11th literally only buffs Pain Engines now...
I would say it's obvious that a new Rakarth and Grotesques are coming with the codex this edition but I've been saying that for 7 years now. And the rumors say they're refreshing a different portion of the army and leaving covens to pound sand for another edition.

Had a decent game of 40k today. I got an early lead which fizzled out in the last two turns but I was having some trouble keeping track of my vp. I probably lost but not totally sure. It's a learner game yet so it's fine.
Warhost vs. Wrath of the Rock. Goddamn is that detachment pretty tough to deal with.

how does 11th look so far i have some buddies who are splitting an Armageddon box and are finally wanting to get into 40k, i think i played a single game during 10th with slaughtered grey knights, but i havent played much since admech 9th edition codex released
ive never been much of a player since i had to schedule games with randoms and it wasnt that much fun, but i figure since i have buddies interested i should give it another go

Each 40K army is based on a different enemy the United States has fought.
>Imperium: Germany + Italy (Nazis + Catholicism)
>Chaos Space Marines: Confederacy (Your equal that broke off and does something evil)
>Eldar: Ottoman Empire (Ancient empire that teeters on despite being long since over)
>Dark Eldar: Middle-East (Ancient empires that are over, but their descendants are squatting in what they left behind, doing insane things for their religion)
>Necrons: China (Ancient empire waking up again)
>GSC: Communist revolutionaries (Obvious)
>Votann: Canada (You, but basically better in every way)

>I was having some trouble keeping track of my vp.
Drawing two secondaries each round can build up into a lot of bullshit to keep track of on top of some primary missions needing to be checked at the end of multiple different phases (usually different primaries for each player as well). There's a lot going on and games take so long if you're not pushing a rapid pace through turns. They streamlined a lot of stuff in 11th but scoring requires keeping detailed notes as you go to make absolutely sure.the winner won.

Guard aren’t hard to paint. The only real struggle is in painting a lot of them, but they are simple to churn out in batches.

Corsair voidreavers are obnoxiously detailed for their size and in game role.
>>
>>98288169
friendly reminder that chinese recasters in a barn fixed this by simply using a different type of resin on small/straight parts so they don't get bent.
