Ebay is way more solid than most people know BUT just remember if you are a new seller they will not release funds until after your order has arrived, usually withing 24 hours of delivery.

how strict are players with wysiwyg? for example i bought a few models second hand so i have neophyte and acolyte squads that will have more than one cult icon. no ones pulled me up on it before but if i was to play competitively and say that the second cult icon will be the first to go when the unit loses models, is that ok or will it piss people off?
>>
>>98386791
We have the impulsor, which is already a rhino with the back cut off and treads removed with half the carry capacity to boot. As well as the repulsor that can carry more than a rhino as is. I expect GW more likely to do fucking nothing with the rhino and make up some bullshit nostalgia bait instead to keep it relevant, like making rules to allow you to use HH models to larp firstborn 40k armies like it's 2004.

No, Armageddon box is literally just the minis, a lorebook without any rules, two decks of cards for competitive and narrative for retards play, and a "core rulebook" that's missing half the rules because they're in the app. It doesn't even have dice or rulers.

The big starter set is unironically a better deal for new players.

The eldar ranges of Warhammer 40k need an update badly. And hopefully the sculpts are made so that the eldar models are easily compatible with each other beyond headswaps, but arms and legs easily usable between them with minimal conversion and kitbash skills necessary.

What could save the Ynnari at this point from lore to the tabletop? I'm not sure if comically powerful rules on the tabletop could work.

They got their shoehorning in with Yvraine resurrecting Guilliman (how did it go in BL lore?) and then the fanbase shipped Yvraine as Gorillaman's elf lady bedroom toy.
Did that shipping somehow kill the Ynnari?

>>98387193
I mean fuck bro, it's 40k, we're all a little retarded, but yes guardfags are among the worst for it in my experience. I can get where they're coming from since their normal way of playing is kinda shit right now, but they also have one of the largest unit toolboxes in the game and have no right to crash out as hard as they did with that in mind. Other armies would fucking kill for half the options guard has.
>>
>>98387180
Deldar and GK, really.

Deldar just had a bunch of their shit (mostly Finecast, mind you) removed without replacement in sight.

GK are still Squatmarines. Don't need to get Primaris'd necessarily, but they could use a re-sizing to fit in with more modern sculpts.
>>
>>98387117
I think it was them understandably being upset at the Steel Legion not being there when Yarrick was revealed.
Then trolls started pretending to be retarded and now we are here.
But personally I think a bit of guard players that actually had some clever comebacks are why this whole thing is still going. Might be for a while.

>those ForgeWorld vehicle paintjobs
Is there anything from the Forge World Imperial Armour modeling masterclass books that is helpful and actually good that scale model and model train gods aren't aware of?
>>
>>98387132
>most other factions' players just suck it up and deal with it.
I get you wanting to shit on guard players. This wording just makes it seem like they actually try to voice their disappointment to GW instead of taking shit.
If any faction needs to raise their voices it has to be the Dark Eldar. I think skitarii a close second because the HH line practically unfairly is better looking than what they get to a ridiculous degree.
>>
How much armies do you guys own?

>>98387201
Ynnari are a dead plotline, anon. They'll be brought back in 5 years to be resolved by integrating into the regular Eldar or something.
>>
>>98387221
I collect a lot of guard and recently had my Damned stuff from WGA come in. There seems to be a lot of anti-guard rhetoric running around. Is it for the same reason the space wolves have negative izzat here or is it a bit more complicated?

Is it really a bad thing to post models here nowadays? I'm trying to set up a white background with the curved paper for best shots, but maybe I'll just use the fridge to minimize doxxing chances.

They seem too integrated into the post Cadia buck breaking plot to be just squatted anytime soon because they are why big blue boy got woken up.
>They'll be brought back in 5 years
Wasn't their entry into the eldar lineup almost or ten years ago or a little over that?
Perfect time to nostalgia bait that they exist.
Maybe a BL book and appearances in other books where they don't job and instead actually make some good victories would cause some heads to turn their way among the 40k fanbase.

Management wanted to squat Slaanesh and replace they/him with something new, and Ynnari were the narrative device to do it. Eventually they realised it was a dumb idea that everyone hated, and moved on.

By the time ynnari actually rolled around they would've already backtracked on that idea for a while now. I think just before or just after AoS' launch. It's just that all that shit was already in the pipeline, they couldn't just take it out without messing with a bunch of other shit.

AP washes are very glossy these days. But they are the best at pooling like washes should. I love their dark skin shade as a red brown for leathers and wood.

AK's aren't as good at that, not terrible but you have to work them a bit to get an ideal result. They do finish pretty matt so I've switched to them for most of my washing, it's just easier than getting brush varnish out. I'm using their obsidian holt (dark grey, not a nuln/dark tone equivalent despite what they claim) and blue moon (nice blue shadows) on my new marines. Rotwood is a default brown that I haven't found a use for yet but seems fine. They do a purple and darker black. Price is right in the UK at least.

No. The entire reason 3rd edition was ultra-simplified and eliminated datafaxes, card decks and 85% of the templates was to make it a more viable retail product that was more suitable for the then current market (children).

They definitely could have retained more of that system, and they could certainly sell a cleaned up version of it now, particularly since apparently card decks and punchout card components as a requirement to play are back in fashion, but in the leaner times of the past it wouldn't have worked.

Craftworlders literally, LITERALLY have gotten this. There’s usually enough to build one leader with one loadout, you have to build the other differently or find the bits/a new box. It’s easier if you’ve been collecting a while.
>>
>>98388084
In most cases GW doesn't let you run a 5-man version of box that comes with 10 models. The exceptions are things like transports that let you split the unit in half at the start of the battle, but those don't expect you to have a second sergeant because one squad just runs without them.
>>
>>98388099
What do you mean, "should be"? Nobz are not uncommon. Yes, they don't show up in the same numbers as regular boyz, but having more nobz as the number of boyz goes up doesn't seem unfluffy.
>>
Is a Ghostkeel worth it in a 1k points game or is that better spent on stealth suits and putting the other points towards something else?
>>
>>98388084
Depends entirely on the kit. Some will have sprues made so you get 1 unit leader per 10 models, others 1 unit leader per 5. CSM legionaries for example come in 10-man kits but easily build 2x5 mans.

Under most circumstances I'd take this as fair criticism, but considering you can be barely bothered to clean up the mold lines on your hell blasters or the pooling on marines I'll discard it as utterly worthless.
>>
>>98388099
It will suck for current players of something like green tide as they will have to source more nobz for their units but other than that its not the worst thing in the world. Should be fun seeing newer ork players try find big shootas and burnas that aren't from the upcoming boyz box

Ork hierarchy is very singular - the strongest one is in charge of a group, and each group belongs to a larger group within which the strongest one is in charge. Two Nobs in a mob of boyz contradicts this. One of them has to be stronger and therefore in charge, the other one should either be leading their own mob, or in a squad of Nobs answering to their own leader.
>>
>>98388131
I would definitely prioritize a stealth suit unit over a ghostkeel at 1k. The 'keel:s big value is no-selling big hits and those are rare at 1k. Take your guns, take your support for the guns, then take the fun toys.
What's the rest of the list/detachment? Are you meched up or footslogging?

Alright anon, no harm done, it's partly on me for assuming hostility. It's just frustrating watching them do the same shit PP pulled before the game died, they have a blueprint of what not to do. "Don't sell rules you've written in pencil but printed in ink" kind of shit. There's an advantage to what they're trying to do, I think the head honchos are just too set in their ways to really take advantage. It took them forever to highlight points changes with colors, it's ridiculous. It reminds me of when CSM were stuck at one wound, which they could have fixed with errata at any time and just didn't.

Exodites are 4" slower but get +1 Toughness and +1 Wound, at the expense of a worse save (4+ vs 3+) and no Invlun. Exodites also get bonus Extra Attacks, which seem decently strong for what it is.
They can also take TWO Leader units, while Shining Spears get none, and one of said units gives them Sustained Hits which is actually prettt stacked for them.

You know act in ways indicative of the intelligence they're supposed to have, rather than attacking in a direction until they lose catastrophically resulting in no gain.

Are you genuinely retarded. I don't even know where to start with this post. It's on so many levels of stupid it's like I'd need to teach you how too many things work to even have a 1% chance possibility you can understand how retarded you are.

There is no such thing as a "frontal attack" in fucking outer space, why don't we start there. What the fuck did you even think this meant?

What is an "actual invading force" in your mind doing differently than the Tyranids?

Since when do they attack "individual systems" when the lore is very clear about how multiple tendrils surround, cut-off, and coordinate to attack entire sub-sectors or sectors at a time?

How are you expecting them to not suffer "eventual defeat" when every single faction in this game has both wins and losses and if the Tyranids just won every single battle the entire setting would end?

I mean you are just so fucking stupid it hurts to contemplate.

1st edition didn't have a proper starter set but the first scenarios and models were Marines vs Orks.
2nd edition was vs Orks.
3rd edition was vs Dark Eldar.
4th edition was vs Tyranids.
5th edition was vs Orks.

That's already 5 xenos in a row right there. Only 6th and 8th were vs Chaos. It's almost always been vs xenos. Imperium vs Xenos is the actual heart of the setting no matter how much the Chaos fanboy nu-writers whine about this and desperately try to get everyone to believe their historical revisionist crap that it's Imperium vs Chaos. It's a fucking space war setting and that means it's about humans fighting aliens, all the Chaos stuff is a holdover sideshow from Fantasy.

That said, Dark Mechanicum is probably the most likely for 12th, unless we still haven't seen a Dark Eldar refresh by that point.

We've been over this. Xenos are the bread, the butter, and the base of that make 40K great. They shouldn't touch Kabalites at all. Those guys are perfect, it's impossible for GW to improve on them

Wyches could be upgraded, but there is zero chance they will do them justice anyway so it's pointless. Entirely possible they will look worse even

Haemonoculi Covens can be updated and expanded and making monsters is something I can trust GW with

Expand Mandrakes, Mercenaries and add some niche stuff like Solar Cults or those Vargheists mentioned in newest Codex. GW could do those nicely too
>>
>>98389203
Kabalites could use a new kit. Just look at how good the new corsairs are.
>>
>>98389196
Dark Eldar are also a 3rd edition army and didn't get completely updated in 5th. Many if those other factions you listed got lots of smaller updates in 5th as well (Necrons, Tyranids, Orks) although their ranges were much larger leaving more unupdated models. DE have essentially only had one single update wave since their introduction in '98
>>
>>98389184
acolytes pad it out being 3 datasheets in one, they only have 4 troop datasheets, acolytes, neophytes aberrants and jackals. Everything else is characters and two vehicle kits.
>>
>>98389184
It's not that big when you consider 70% of it is individual characters and even if you count all those as individual units they still don't have as much as DE.

Showing units as rough equivalents you've got something like
>Patriarch = Archon
>Magus = Haemonculus
>Primus = Succubus
>Neophytes = Kabalites
>Acolytes = Wyches
>Metamorphs = Wracks
>Aberrants = Grotesques
>Goliath Truck = Raider
>Goliath Rockgrinder = Ravager
>Achilles Ridgerunner = Venom
>Jackals = Reavers

And then a big handful of extra single characters whereas the DE also have:
>Beastmaster + all their beasts
>Court of the Archon
>Incubi
>Hellions
>Mandrakes
>Scourges
>Talos
>Cronos
>Razorwing
>Voidraven

Is there even a reason to run them? Their stats are pretty mediocre and if the opponent does anything beyond a light shooting they get tabled. The only notable thing they have is FNP and regenerating wounds to make them a bit more annoying.
For being one of the most customizable units they have nothing. Give them like 9 different wargear options for all the "mutations" they can have.

It's gonna take more than that to make them worth picking

You should check the trench crusade general.
The place is just a bucket to spit in and kept on life support from it. I’m not sure what are all the reasons for why it got that way.
>>
>inquisitorial agents kit has two guardsmen
>the respected veteran is white
>the druggie from jail is black
what did they mean by this
>>
>>98389291
Stop affiliating me with every negative post post you see punk
>>
>>98389356
I think they cultivated a really weird community with their initial presentation of their game, then decided too late they didn't want to support that kind of community they way they thought they were being supported and got a bunch of very passionate fans riled up over it. Also victims of their own success and the game getting too big for their own slow scope to keep up with.

>>98388888
To switch it up it'll be Sisters of Battle vs. Word Bearers so the core box can sell as poorly as Necromunda starters.
>>
>>98389356
A streak of weird own-goals drove away a lot of hype.
>>
>>98388945
So just say one is a Nob and one is a skarboy with a big choppa.
>>
>>98389385
GW wants to push Sisters so hard in every way except actually making them fun or affordable to collect the models or actually use their infantry on the table.
>>
Good luck finding any models when total war 40k comes out. The secondaries will mass buy everything.
>>
>>98389368
permanent means permanent
>>
>>98389395
They’re gonna get worse. Their base infantry will now wound marines on 5s in melee and ranged!
>>
>>98389240
yes, because its perfect and there's no way to improve it.
>>
>>98389396
But anon that means they won't be secondaries anymore
>>
>>98389037
Made the mistake of agreeing to the take the xenos side from my brother, then trying to start Dark Eldar when they had zero lore and all their models were metal and weird.
>>
>>98389411
they're going to buy it and then never assemble it after realizing how much effort (a small amount) it takes
>>
>>98389223
They could benefit from the lion's share of their sculpts not squatting, for starters.
>>
>>98389049
I do martian rock for my votann bases. I would suggest getting slate ballast from railroad modelling supplies, or something crumbly you can layer like corkboard, prime them, paint them all a dark yellow contrast like Nazdregg Yellow or Sand Golem, and then drybrush different layers with bone, desert yellow, orange, and khaki.
>>
>>98389420
>They're like Dark Elves... but in space!
Honestly they're still basically just that
>>
>>98389232
Not in my opinion. I think Beasts of Nurgle + Nurglings were better in 10th, and I think just sticking a sorcerer on some legionaries and parking them in an objective is more annoying objective control in 11th.
>>
11th edition shouldve been imperial agents vs chaos. We have had enough space marines every launch edition box doesnt need to be fucking space marines for Christ sake I’m tired of them.

If you go dig into the live stream archive of Monument Hobbies’s YouTube channel, you’ll find when Jason Craze was painting a Farsight model, and he did an exact red sandstone style tactical rock and base color you’re talking about, you can just rip off the scheme he used.
>>
>>98389395
GW really wants to push them as female marines and yet the rules are still so dogshit. Also this is going to sound chud as hell but they also seem insistant on removing the nuns with guns cheesecake aspects from the army in recent years and making them all scarred and grizzled and stuff like pentinent engines being men.

>>98389356
Trench Crusade basically started out as "fine i'll make my own 40k with blackjack and hookers" but then the guys in charge couldn't deliver the actual game or miniatures to people for shit and got tired of people pointing out big historical plot holes and how christianity is somehow also evil for fighting against biblically accurate devils? So the devs flipped out and went full retard on their community.
>>
>>98389356
>I’m not sure what are all the reasons for why it got that way.
They sided with trannies in the culture war and told the huge wave of new arrivals looking for a replacement for 40k after female custodes drama to fuck off, despite the entire premise of their game being "grimdark Christian crusaders fight back against the forces of Actually Explicitly Biblically Accurate Evil Rape-Torture-Cannibalism Hell Demons" but now all the people who stuck with them were satanic cross-dressing pedophiles so they had to walk back their lore and say "a-akshually the Christians are just as bad". Drove a lot of people off.

Then they fucked up their Kickstarter fulfilments and then walked back their hobbyist friendly "we love people scratchbuilding and making their own minis" attitude as soon as they had shit to sell to people.
>>
>>98389533
>huge wave
LOL
>>

>>
>>98389540
It was big, there were hundreds who saw the post on Twitter that started that whole event and came to check out the discord. That may not seem like a lot but for a new company starting out, hundreds of potential customers who might continue to spread the word to their friends and expand the base of the game is a big deal.
>>
>>98389560
>hundreds
>twitter post
>they joined a discord
LMAO
>>
>>98389533
I like how you threw in the real reason why TC died at the very end after a paragraph of coping about culture war idpol faggotry because your brainrot is that severe you think anybody gives a fuck
>>
>>98389540
I have no idea how many people gave them money, but every single anti-40k grifter promoted trench crusade as the anti-woke wargame and there were threads to that end constantly.
>>
>>98389572
Except if they hadn't driven off half of their potential players at the start and created a ton of bad blood they might have survived the rocky kickstarter release because more people would have been willing to be patient with them, compounding mistakes on top of mistakes is how you die.
>>
>>98389578
>half
LOL
>>
>>98389584
These coping troon posts are so obvious. It was easily half if not more of their potential players, yeah.
>>
>>98389578
They would've died anyways between taking years to deliver on preordered models to those models shattering with light use and leaking uncured resin because they halfassed their production to them urging people to 3d print proxies and terrain then rugpulling that promise as soon as they secured a hard plastic production company
Your political brainrot is not nearly as important as you like to think it is, terminally online retard-kun
>>
>>98389594
idk dude public opinion is pretty important if you’re selling a product to yknow the public
>>
>>98389634
public opinion doesn't care about political brainrot
you twitterbrained faggots think everything you see on social media actually represents the majority opinion when in actuality anything expressed on any social media represents less than a 10th of the public
>>
>>98389594
Anon you can believe whatever you want but customer's good will goes a long fucking way and if I thought the devs of TC were based and had the best intentions but just ran into logistical problems I would still be sticking by them through the growing pains of being a new company getting things figured out.

Instead they drove off half their players right out the fucking gate and the company was not guaranteed to survive even if they had not run into these issues because there's no room for growth when a huge portion of your potential new players find out you're a bunch of woke faggots promoting "le Christians are just as bad as baby-eating demonic witches" subversive crap everyone is tired of.
>>
>>98389644
>huge portion
again, you're delusional >>98389643
>>
>>98389643
>public opinion doesn't care about political brainrot
This is the dumbest thing you could possibly believe. Politics is downstream of culture. Public opinion is why these things are political.
>>
>>98389643
social media posts turning people off of buying shit means they wont buy it lol retard
it doesnt have to stop 50%+ of people from buying to be a noticeable loss for the company
this shit got you heated you must love trench crusade or something?
>>
>>98389648
>>98389651
This is your brain on 16 hours of twitter and /pol/ a day
I'm anti-TC because it's grimderp dogshit that was an obvious rugpull from the start
Keep seething because you think you're actually important by gobbling up what your israeli CIA plants tell you to get upset about
>>
>>98389643
>thinks a 9% loss is negligible in the context of millions of dollars
Poor people really are fucking stupid huh?
>>
>>98389647
You are actually the delusional one. Where are these mythical "non-political" people you think exist in 2026? You can't even go outside without people wearing slogans and shit on their shirts or hats in my town, without political graffiti and stickers on every telephone pole. Where are they discussing Trench Crusade without politics being brought up? Obviously not here where it comes up every time the game is mentioned. Obviously not on social media anywhere. Obviously not in the hobby stores because no one is actually playing the fucking game.

>>98389658
damn nigga got heated and ragequit the convo lmao

Nowhere because it's a psyop that nobody ever actually cared about

Because 4chan is dead and infested by sub-room temperature IQ NPCs who think they're trad warriors fighting against george soros and israel when they're just parroting exactly what they want them to
>Obviously not on social media anywhere.
Because nobody cared about the game outside of the mike franchina art

because the gameplay sucked and they fucked over everybody who was enjoying it despite that with their anti-consumer practices

Hi, did you just step out of a Time Machine from 2017 or something? They’ve had 28 new kits in the last 4 years.
>>
>>98387469
lol
CSM now only has 1 (one) purge the foe detachment.
>>
>>98387883
When do you mean by recently? Because if you’re talking the last few years, probably SM2. If you mean the last few months, the changes to cover and overwatch in 11th have made Sekhetars with the new detachment really strong and popular. Thousand Sons has been kicking ass at tournaments playing hexwarp and Sekhetar cohort with lots of terminators and 12 sekhetars.

What's the best way to model all the landraider options (Melta, HK missile, and storm bolter) and are they the same size as the rhino ones so they can be swapped?
