Operating a zeppelin in extreme cold weather is tricky at best and suicidal at worst. But when your government seeks you out to find a polar expedition that is long overdue with no radio contact you can't really say no, can you.
Cold weather gear and sleigh dogs were loaded up along with so much extra gas flasks that operating the old girl at altitude felt like flying through pudding. Third day of the search after leaving civilisation behind us we found the SMS Maria II frozen in pack ice.

We touched ground on a small frozen island a fair bit away to not entangle in her masts or risk slamming into her. Supplies and dogs were unloaded and a small contingent set out on sleds towards the ship while the rest of the crew secured the zeppelin.

The crew of the SMS Maria II were elated to see us but dismayed to learn we could not take them all aboard. After discussion with the SMS Maria II's captain,a bushy-bearded man named Radeskty, it was decided that we take on crewmembers unfit to survive the long trek to civilisation. Looks like elven rangers, probable spy, Ilska meeting, Skivare and the warpgors, and the undead not being located yet are the big things to deal with. Possibly big reputation issues, but thats still to be determined, and Skogsrå being a giant question mark as usual. Also wouldn't mind some more characterization on the elven city leaders and university leaders.
