Are anime based miniature STLs more likely to get DMCA'd than Warhammer adjacent looking minis?
I bought two anime miniature STLs and so far they look good quality. The author does good work.
Problem is all of them are priced and I'm not sure how hard/easy it is to find the anime STL repositories to find them all so I have copies until I break free of poorfaggery and be able to buy them all (about 4k Canadian with included taxes I think).
It is purple site so probably no discounts whatsoever.

I've forgotten how to get into various circles on the piracy app because it has been a while. Also looking for PDF sharing (rulebooks, TTRPG setting books especially the out of print ones etc.) groups on piracy app if possible.

Generally looking for machines from popular animes in STL form for printing.

With fiddly stuff like that, I usually print a few extra. The spares will make up for pieces lost or broken, the reduction in screen and FEP life is the same, and the cost of the added resin used is essentially a rounding error.

If you like the sharp angles and statuesque sort of posing lucid eye miniatures has a whole range of elves. It's called elfking. It's a whole fantasy universe they created, very much high fantasy but with a mythical whimsy.

The minis are really nice,.but they are all metal. The elves themselves run the gambit from dark elf types to more high elves and even wood elves that have a moral naturalesque feel.

The sculptor there, Steve Saleh, runs the company with his son. They're good guys.

Get involved in your local scene and talk to a tournament organizer. Odds are they know someone with the good terrain STLs, and they'll do a quid-pro-quo if you can print some terrain for their next tournament. Especially since 11e changed all the terrain AGAIN.

Which resin is a good alternative to elegoo water washable? the water washable one feels a little bit too brittle and less detailed

Resin printing terrain is a waste of time and money. Get a Bambulabs a1, they make good terrain at a lower cost. You can smooth PLA prints using ethyl acetate (apparently), I recently got a bottle of it and am about to start experimenting with PLA sprue goo.

That's all of the cheap resins. By "brittle," I mean that a 28mm mini won't survive a fall to the floor from waist height without something breaking. The cheap resin shills and noprintz have a different definition apparently. Maybe they don't game. Probably they don't game. People painting display pieces can use basically whatever resin they want, but if these are gaming pieces, use good resin. The added price per mini is minimal. Cheap resins are great for verifying function and supports because they're cheap and super easy to print with, but they suck for gaming pieces. Gamers know that. Nogamez do not. Remember this.

Not exactly. Their Tenacious is a great way to make those shitty brittle resins more useful. Their Tenacious Easy is basically a factory version of regular brittle resin mixed with Tenacious. It prints very well and doesn't need special heating. Ignore the manufacturer's directions on curing, only hit it for a minute or two at most. Three minutes or more will make it start to get brittle, which defeats the whole purpose of buying an expensive resin that prints well without being brittle.

Wash in the wash station, wash again in a separate container of "clean" IPA, then cure. When the "clean" IPA gets cloudy and shitty enough, dump it into the wash station to replace evaporative losses and refill the "clean" container with new IPA. The wash station alone won't do the entire job properly after a cycle or two, but that contaminated IPA will remove the major nastiness for a long time. Some guys put their whole build plate in there. If you like wrecking your IPA even quicker and contaminating your resin vat as a bonus, go ahead and do this. Otherwise, scrape your prints off into the vat and leave the build plate alone. If they don't come off easily enough to make this possible, fix your bottom exposure times.

Once I found a mega of not just GW stuff but old GW stuff.
It’s gone now so don’t ask me.
But it was weirdly organised.
Sometimes there was an entire box of monopose WFB 4/5E figures or the 40K 2E Tactical Squad.
Other times there was just two of three figures from the command spruce for the WFB 6E Empire state troopers.

Anyone got experience with elegoo abs-like 3.0 on a Saturn 4 ultra 16k?
I've been running like, 60s bottom layer exposure 2.8s normal layer exposure.
Upside: it prints for sure
Downside: you have to be King Arthur to get this shit off the plate. Also it feels like supports are harder to remove than they really should be.
Went to 40s bottom layer and 2.4s normal and it didn't print at all, so thinking to try 50s bottom layer, see how that goes.
Thoughts from others who're on the same conditions?

How thick are the layers you print with?
I print on my 9k S4U with 0.25 thick layers and 25s bottom exposure and 1.7 for normal layers and it prints fine.

Is your resin warm enough? ABS like resins are a bit thicker, so warming it up and adding some wait before cure helps with the bottom layers.

Massively overexposing bottom layers can act as a solution but then it can ruin dimensional accuracy and also every time you feel the need to chisel your prints off the build plate, you're ruining the leveling of your build plate which will cause more issues later on
Make sure you're removing the models with the build plate held perpendicular to the surface it's placed on

The saturn 4 ultra does auto levelling shit. I don't think it's the problem.
So, part of the problem is also that I mixed in a bit of leftover Sunlu ABS like with the Elegoo stuff. Discovered that requires more exposure time, which was how I got to 60, but at this point it should be like 95% elegoo and 5% sunlu but... it still seems to be demanding more. But even before, I was running 45s obligatorially on the pure elegoo so.

It's odd how unknown factors affect this stuff.

Hmmm maybe. Thing is I've had a ton of successful prints so it doesn't really feel like that's the issue. I'm not heating the plate that's true, but it's warm as hell where I'm at right now so I wouldn't expect that to be it.

By "a ton of successful prints" I mean everything from "a bunch of torsos and shoulders" up to a full single piece demon prince. And they've come out very nice, just really sticky to the build plate and the supports feel a bit too attached. The defiler has *some* gaps in a few places that make me question my dimensional accuracy but it isn't all bad by any means and just requires a bit of gap filling not "oh lord you can stick a finger in there".

So I'm just not sure.

Don't have the 16k only the 12. Had similar issues though.
Clean it. Clean the screen then drain and clean everything. May be a few tiny floaters. Filter the resin too and make sure it's well mixed.
Level it. The auto leveling is good but never hurts to verify.
My burn in is 5 layers at 30 seconds followed by 2.7 seconds per layer. .05mm layers. The pwm for the light is at 60%
I keep it at 25 degrees so the resin flows nice but still had to increase the dwell after lifting. Might want to give it a half second or so just to give it time for the resin to settle.
