How about no?
Part of why Imperial Armour is so good is because it is dead so it's grave will never be defiled. But I would like tutorials on how it's model pictures were made at the time. Even if the photoshop version is ancient if they used it instead of some literally who program.

I don't care if those Warhammer 40k diorama photo edits become watered down slop like what happened grimdark and blanchitsu becoming barely converted models with loads of dark washes slathered on them like how Steampunk became just gluing gears on stuff. I'll still love the photos.

Pic related is fan made. I hope the creator is doing well.

Orks are actually the most important faction in the setting, if they were absent all the marine forces would fall because their feet would be on uneven ground.
>>
>>98423703
I like guard, I like the setting being diverse but guard exist as the fodder to be background set pieces for the actual, obviously main characters of marines. Same with chaos cultists/traitor guard for CSM.

DoW 4 ironically captures this well with them being set dressing and not a playable faction. Prob the first DLC though.

NTA but all this anti-guard might be the work of one or a few autists trying to lower space marine player (or other army) izzat here.

False flags are actions committed by one party in a way to make onlookers assume the actions are done by a different party.

Here in this Warhammer 40k forum, that false flag might be done by some guard players or just one dedicated autist. I assume that the anti-guard trolling we are seeing is being done by one guard autist or more guard autists to make fans of other armies look like big meanies attacking those poor guardplayers

My source is the crust between my cheeks.
>>98423752

>Modern GW is incapable and unwilling to.
I think modern GW is capable. But unwilling because I have a feeling the dioramas to be photoshopped cost more money than just throwing cash at an artist. You need a team of diorama makers, then you need a professional photographer then you need a graphics artist, then you need to have property for the storage and space for the dioramas and their stuff.
It all adds up.

I think this is why Black Library doesn't produce Warhammer comics that much if at all unlike the Star Wars IP having loads of comics made.

Best you're gonna get would be Horus Heresy Age of Darkness pics like pic related where only the models are real and are photoshopped onto digitally made terrain with a backdrop that most of the time will be digitally made. I think this because there isn't much space for dioramas.
Even then that stuff is probably already being done by fans.
ForgeWorld did this too, but I think a lot of times the ground models were on was very real.

Sure, they could do a new "Imperial Armour" book that ticks all the boxes of the checklist, and yet would be off and empty.

It's not about money (which GW is not lacking even if cheapstakes), it's about creative skills that they have not invested in.

You can't just put a bunch of painted product into a diorama and call it a day, there needs to be purpose, story, creativity, and GW simply does not have it anymore.

This is a new era.

A facebook comment screenshot says the Minotaurs are Iron Warriors, but those can be faked.
I think the Minotaurs and the Blood Ravens are responsible for why there are so many homebrewers who want to make traitor legion descended space marine chapters. They weren't the cause, but they intensified the amount.
Is there really any way of doing those kind of chapters right? You think GW is saving a plot line like that for an actually good BL writer to write about if BL book sales start dipping too low to get lots of sales and attention? Or is that gonna be Henry Cavil's whole Warhammer 40k show's plot about a space marine chapter finding out who their father is?

I didn't see your post when I was writing a novel at >>98423887 I should have refreshed. Sorry.

I understand that dioramas and photoshops are only the surface level of Imperial Armour books. I should have made that clear. But I will say they do make good impressions on autists like me because I love the idea of photoshopping models to look cinematic. It is like the tabletop wargaming version of childish doodles being done over by a professional artist and you get the kid's unchained and beautiful imagination translated into a presentable medium making it incredible.
So those model photos always create a good first impression for me.

The problem is you're right about the nerds and the heads with decent creativity being rid of or if there are any at GW they get discouraged from actually doing anything because their creativity involves risk, and GW isn't often willing to take risks when it comes to guarantee smash hit sales. And even then they mess up every now and then like with the Age of Sigmar Dominion box and the Armageddon blood angels box right now. I think they learned not to stamp "selling fast" on those boxes after Dominion.

>there needs to be purpose, story, creativity, and GW simply does not have it anymore.
>This is a new era.
I wish it was a better era.

>Sure, they could do a new "Imperial Armour" book that ticks all the boxes of the checklist
What would that checklist be in your opinion?
>would be empty
In your opinion what makes Imperial Armour books so good? For me they are like quasi-pseudo-historical books written after the fact, but also that generally the events are insignificant. Except when they are like HH. I'm not sure if the Badab War counted as a big major event when Huron was essentially having his hard job hindered so had an understandable spergout and lots of marines sympathized and others went sent to tard wrangle him. Including the Minotaurs which I think are essentially the attack dogs of the High Lords of Terra.

Why the fuck do necron leader units piss me off? I am getting into kill team and looking at the models for the crypteks actually make me mad. I hear this unit in particular is hell to put together and doesn't even look that great. Xenos get the short end of the stick when it comes to just basic looking leaders. The flashy shit is ass. The baseline Aprentek looks miles better than the Psychomancer, Geomancer and Technomancer. This is a psychomancer and he looks like shit to me.

Do you think its possible to have a regular aprentek model be converted to be a psychomancer and have it make sense? Or does height matter for balance reasons? I know taller models changes things for LoS and what not. How important is that? I think all the Immortal leader units look fine though because they stand on two legs like a normal fucking infantry model.

Has nostalgia compelled autists to seek out the books of ForgeWorld and get high quality scans for the purpose of archival? Even the 8th edition index rules only books?

I already asked on the PDF share thread. Asked for all of them because I don't have all the FW books, but also in case someone dumps the whole thing in high quality too.

I think this is what a lot of homebrewers of chapters of traitor geneseed miss. The papa doesn't mean they have to be the way they are. So just because they are IW doesn't mean they have to be assholes. Unless something in the lore says IW were dispositioned to be bitter assholes. I always thought that was because of the way they were treated before the Horse Hearing Says.

Not all Ultramarine descendants have to be autistic about the space book.
This means not all Salamanders have to be nice lads. Maybe they could even be as dickish as the Marines Malevolent, or even worse.

NTA but
TTS is very useful for trying out games for the first time, and for more obscure games especially when trying to politely get games that aren't Warhammer played. It is a nice last resort.
The problem is playing Warhammer 40k on TTS usually means it is a sign of someone being unbearable but it isn't their fault somehow.
There are exceptions like having old gaming friends from across the world to play 40k with. But those are very rare.

TTS taught me that I think even bad rules "work" because the lads you hang out with are just that amazing to be around that they "compensate" for the bad rules.

TTS game players are a bit of a coin toss between being insufferable to the point where you know why they are stuck with TTS as their only way to get games and just relaxed dudes that have their own myriad of sensible reasons.

I feel like that's the Tyranids, since every time they show up the Tau tend to ally with the Imperium to handle them. The Necrons would pose a similar threat, but the Tau haven't really fought them much.

The Orks are dangerous but also kinda stupid and Orks don't consider Tau to be a good fight anyways so they're not very attracted to Tau territory most of the time.

So what are some ways to communicate in that place for the models to just get the models and get out?

Gluing question though, should I be using this Tamiya plastic cement stuff or super glue like gorilla glue or something? I have both but in a case like this, I wasn't sure which one would be better. The tamiya stuff seems to work better on larger parts(like space marines) and gorilla glue somehow seems better for small pieces. Like gluing the necron death mark wrist near the gun end pissed me off. But you are right, maybe I take better breaks.

Not really, it just has land raiders and terminators as far as classic units go. Though seeing the rhino is surviving 11th and allowing primaris to ride, they might let all the classic tanks live and be included in total war.
>>
>>98424320
Space wolves are by far the worst about this because they go so hard on the wolfshit compared to more generic viking shit it gets painful. The iconography is more spread out between different symbols.
Meanwhile logan here has
>two wolves carrying his sleigh
>wolf figurehead
>wolf embossing
>wolf axe
>wolf helm
>wolf skull necklace
>wolf skull crux terminatus
>wolf skull aquila
>wolf skull bolter

Like holy shit they can never just do a normal viking thing, it always HAS to have a wolf on it.

Things is for blood angels for example they've got their blood drop motif, but they also have their grail, their wings, and to a lesser extent the general baroque aesthetic. For ultras too, their roman thing is more spread out, from crests to tassles to laurels, all a bunch of different things, all of which convey "roman" but all still different. Space wolves just go wolf wolf wolf wolf, it's exhausting. I think their newest wave was actually slightly better in that regard.
But yeah it's weird that they don't do more generic viking stuff that isn't always wolf-related, like idk the stereotypical horned helmets or something.
>>
Every time I see hype around 40k spreading again and think about getting back into the game and start looking at what's new I remember they changed the Guard's name to Astra Militarum and Dark Eldar to Drew Carrey and they killed Creed to replace him with a fat foid and they put fucking Primarchs in it and they changed all the marines to these fugly new shit designs with lame generic helmets and starcraft guns and tonka toy hovertanks and I lose all of my interest again. Not my 40k.
>>
>>98424365
rhinos are so much smaller and easier to hide than impulsors they'll either have to be expensive or carry less than 7 marines to be balanced. I still think they'll move them to legends but you never know.
>>
>>98424376
>GW is going to have the Rhino updated into a primaris Rhino with those anti-grav plates.
>>
>>98424330
I have only used plastic cement for 40k minis and superglue for generic uses or printed part assembly (not for games), so ymmv on what I say.
Plastic cement works better with a higher surface area; it's not an adhesive, it's a chemical solvent that melts the polystyrene model wherever it contacts to fuse the two pieces together. If the part is big enough, you could rough up the area with a file/craft knife to make it bond better.
Sometimes you also just have to hold it for 30 seconds or so, part of the reaction is air to allow the solvent to evaporate.
Some joints are a headache because of a small surface area, others are a pain due to the "grain" of the material (I know there isn't literally one but oftentimes in casted parts there is a difference in outer finish depending on where in the mould it is) not behaving right with the cement. I wouldn't blame someone for just using superglue for smaller bits.

I personally avoid superglue because I always get it on my fingers and I don't like having to dip them in acetone to have them be clean afterwards.
>>
>>98424398
This is stupid because rhinos already carry 12 marines in every chaos army and it works just fine. Making them carry 7 marines would defeat the entire purpose of it which is to have a transport for a full squad that doesn't cost 200+ points.
>>
>>98424381
The worms that feast on the crust of my asshole tell me that the Warhammer 40k primaris bikes are the exception and actually it is the space marine tanks that all will get anti-grav plate updates to separate them from the imperial guard tanks and the chaos space marine tanks.

The bacteria on my decaying nose tell me that this is because normies can't tell whether imperial guard tanks can be used in a space marine army as normies have the same stupidity of having to ask GW for permission to use models in different ways or even to paint models like whether they can paint all the Horus Heresy box set space marines as the same army.

Trust the plan and trust the science.

I think design wise, the gorkanaut is really easy to scratch build / proxy because of its really simple, boxy design. I’d also say its because its never been in a discount box, so its way harder to justify a purchase or find it secondhand which results in someone having to buy it individually, and then they realize the stompa exists for the same price as a gorkanaut, and then choose the stompa instead. I personally only bought the gorkanaut because I’ve been a daydreaming failure about making an orky mussolini fascist HQ for literal years, and saw it at discount for $120 at my LGS.

"Nucromunda" is a term pushed by secondaries as an excuse to not paint or play models.

Its fine if you don't like the aesthetic. But pretending old munda was good is just an extension of retards pretending they fucking played mordheim.

Anyone who wants to argue that old good new bad is more than welcome to fight 19 skavenslaves with slings in mordheim and tell me how fun it is.
>>
>>98424907
As an admitted secondary, I know an oldhead who was a diehard OGmunda fan who has some pointed criticisms of various changes Nucromunda, but his final thoughts were somewhere along the lines of "the spirit is still there, and any game with friends is a good one". Not sure why I brought that up, I guess just to offer an anecdote that's more nuanced than just "old good new bad".

I do think the models look cool and would be totally down if there was a local scene. Not sure if I'd go Cawdor, Ash Wastes, or the sneaky spy dudes though. I would've looked harder at Goliaths but they added w*man to the gymbro faction and that takes a lot of the magic out of them for me.

Hypothetically, if GW aggressively nerfed Space Marines or rather, one edition came out and Space Marines just happened to be very weak, would people lose their minds? I feel like some factions have been weaker forever but no one really cares because such a faction might have fewer players. But what if a faction with a large player base turned out to be weak?
>>
>>98425009
Space marines had been middling tier for a good while. I think they're only so dominant now because everyone plays them. Most 40k players are new and most new players start because of some space marine video game or with a starter set.

Look at how Guard compfags act right now with how janky their lists have to be to not get steamrolled. Now imagine that, but it's 60%+ of the entire playerbase (even more if they nerfed CSM alongside regular ones), not just compfags seething about compfaggotry.

That said, looking at tourney winrates there are clearly a lot of issues for most factions, including a few SM chapters.

New Tyranid lore just dropped.

>"Of all the Tyranid hive fleets to have entered the galactic plane, there are few stranger than Hive Fleet Typhon. Its organisms display opportunistic predatory behaviour, emerging to feed upon those worlds already weakened by war, famine, disease and other disasters. Hive Fleet Typhon also appears to produce large numbers of Genestealers prior to assaults in the knowledge that fleeing foes will spread the curse to worlds in the path of its inexorable advance. Hive Fleet Typhon displays one significant behaviour as yet unseen in other hive fleets. Both Imperial forces and Kin explorers within the Chalnath Expanse report witnessing Typhon cannibalising the bioforms of other hive fleets. Indeed, tendrils of Typhon almost appear to coil around those of others, sweeping down after planetary invasions to consume both the biomass of the destroyed world and the sister hive fleet's bioforms alike, all while expending as little of their own biomass as possible."

GW retconned all previous Tyranid-eating Tyranid instances, it seems.

Sisters are another army in this band of "really good if the player is good enough but dogshit otherwise" so GW doesn't know what to do with them. Miracle Dice being how they are doesn't help how they feel/play for casuals, and it makes them a hard-to-get-into faction.
>t. got into Sisters in 10th, not playing them at all for the foreseeable future
>>98425058
>because bad players mostly play space marines
That's kind of my point, just looked at from the other perspective; GW can't buff them to help that because there's also that small percentage at the other end shitting on people no matter what they do. Guard is having that right now, their winrate would be sub 30% (like 28% iirc, not doing the math right now) if you exclude 2 or 3 people.
I based that "including a few SM chapters" line on the fact that Dark Angels, Salamanders and Space Wolves each have at least 2 undefeated tourneys since 11th launched, which tells me that those players either got EXTREMELY lucky, or there's an issue in those factions/their opponents' armies somewhere.

>>
Everyone likes to say their army is weak but it's rarely actually true. Guard have found tournament wins with both infantry skew and vehicle skew lists recently, SoB have found multiple 5-0 and 7-0 GT tournaments results with resilient Triumph bricks doing Priority Assets, space marines are currently sitting at the absolute maximum win rate a faction is allowed to have before they're nerfed where they have also been for all of 10th, and drukhari have consistently been one of the best armies putting up consistent tournament wins throughout 10th and 11th they're just hard to play so only experienced players can do this so they give the impression of being bad to people who don't know. Marine's special characters and chaplains are insane and gravis armor is consistently undercosted for being t6 with multiple wounds, and they can make any dispositon work with their selection of units so they're better off than every single other army in the disposition system as well.

I'm really tired of people claiming they're the underdog when every single codex is putting up tournament results. Grey knights went undefeated into the top8 at Tacoma, even random shit like Deathwatch has been tearing it up. There are no bad armies if you put in the time to make a good list and you put in the time to really know your army.

Some armies, like deldar and SoB, have a higher skill floor, meaning it's easier to do poorly, but in skilled hands these armies are solid.

Some armies have low skill floor, you can just throw stuff together and run towards objectives and do well, this is traditionally marines, where most units are good and their special rules like Oath are strong, and they have underscosted stat check units that will fill in gaps in player skill. People who say marines are bad are delusional, they're one of the strongest at the moment.

Nobody wants to hear this though since it's human nature to feel good about playing the underdog. I play 5 different armies so I'm not biased.

don't worry about damaging the models, you can gently scrape with the back of a hobby knife and the lines will go away. if you're paranoid you can put a smidge of tamiya extra thin plastic cement over the area you scraped to keep it buttery smooth (just make sure to wait for priming until it dries)
you can also "drill" your barrels with a hobby knife by poking the knife in the center and gently twisting it around a few times. you don't need to go overboard, the illusion of depth is what does the heavy lifting. a drop of nuln or black paint into the middle of the divet will bring it 80% of the way to a properly drilled barrel and add a lot to the mini.

Excited for next month's though. Feels like there's a lot of possibilities to pick, and I'm stoked to see what other people work on.
I'm probably gonna paint one with a dead marine, and I still have some space wolves bits, but that seems like the boring option. And it wouldn't count for the corpse game.

The Marines are super bare-bones compared to the Ork side in the Armageddon box
>Plain-ass Intercessors when everyone already has like 20 of them
>Vanguard Vets are okay... until you compare them to the older models
>Eradicators... but with Bolters! (Yawn)
>Only good models in the marine half are the Captain, Jumppack Chaplain, and the Land Speeder
For a brand new player, the Marine selection is a decent starting force, but for Space Marine players who already have thousands of points already the models are pretty lackluster. Compare that to the Orks, where you get
>20 Boyz that can actually made to look different thanks to swapping heads and arms the previous monopose kit lacked (No special weapons tho)
>Basically the same, but for 10 gretchin
>All-around solid character models, the least good one being the Weirdboy still being pretty decent.
>A returning vehicle in the Wartrakk, and a new one in the Dakkarig

The ork half is a solid 9/10, and definitely the real draw of the box (It sure was for me). The Marines on the other hand are like a 6/10. If it were up to me here's how I'd go about tweaking the box
>Gut the Librarian, we just had the Terminator one in Leviathan. Replace him with a Jumppack Lieutenant
>Vanguard Veterans get a slight glow-up in terms of armor details, also replace some of the heads with Beakies (There's no reason why all of the Mk6 heads were on the Orks)
>Cut the Eradicators, replace them with an actual 5-man Devastator squad (Primaris sized, 1 Sergeant with Boltgun & Chainsword, two with Grav Cannons, two with Storm Bolters. Multipart kit comes with all the options of course)
>Lastly lets round out the box. We got 4 characters (Captain, Chaplain, Ancient, and the new Jumppack Lieutenant), 1 Troop (Intercessors), 1 Elite (Vanguard Vets), 1 Fast Attack (Land Speeder), and 1 Heavy Support (our new Devastator Squad). Let's add one more Troop choice by throwing in a 5 man Scout Squad.

Just my two cents

All memes aside, space wolves are a generally respected and liked chapter in universe, as far as I'm aware, most chapters would work well with them. As for canonical battles together, there's the black templars, ultramarines, and imperial fists that I can think of off the top of my head. Or perhaps have them be deathwatch marines? Could have the close combat space wolf deathwatch marine charging in to avenge his other deathwatch brother at the feet of your overlord.

Your presence alone is provocation enough, mate. I can guarantee you that myself and others have probably suffered from mental blocks when it's come to our hobbying, but not to the point where we've been working solely on the same squad of 10 models for 10 months now with almost no progress to show for it. You've admitted in the past that your lack of progress stems from the stress this place brings you a few months back, why choose to come back if it means that you're not able to work on your models? Hell, did you work on your models at all for the month and a half you were away from here?

Armies I have never faced (By 10th edition codexes)

Grey Knights
Necrons
Genestealer Cults
Votann
Chaos Space Marines
Thousand Sons
World Eaters
Emperors Children
Sisters
Imperial Agents/Deathwatch
Blood Angels
Orks
Eldar
Dark Eldar
Chaos Knights
Chaos Demons
Custodes
Admech

My local scene is a boring fucking meta of all space marines (DA, SW and BT), death guard, tau and imperial guard. Im convinced Tau and Guard the armies that attract the most stuck up unfun faggots I have ever seen. The less shooting an army has the more chill its players.

>>98423894
Space Marines vs Orks is what the setting is founded upon
>>
>>98426174
>I'm a newfag to 40k
>...and I cbf doing my own research
FTFY. Anyway to give a broad overview of the basic Imperial soldiers, planets will often have a PDF - standing army, equipped with whatever local gear (this could be fucking muskets for a feudal world, wildly varies across the imperium). Several planets with a healthy enough birth rate (and likely good resources/gear) are selected to feed the astra militarum (official term) or colloquially, the imperial guard. The imperium comes knocking at regular intervals to take a bunch of their soldiers and sends them off to fight wars for the greater imperium across the stars, helping them with equipment supply in return for their servitude. This results in vastly different regiments of militarum troops, of which the Death Korps are just one specific regiment, hailing from the planet Krieg which is just heavily WW2 themed. Cadians are the poster boys and the generic drab green fatigued dudes you see everywhere, in every video game, Catachans are the jungle fighters and based on Vietnam War.

Not going to hold your hand too much more, go read some wiki or watch a youtube viddy if you want to know more.

GW doesn't say

I would much rather an Ork kill team (singular) and a smattering of maiden world trees and waystones over a bunch of snaggas and a 'bigger dossier' that still factors into the fucking cost.

Anyone serious about painting armies needs to have one. They are the ultimate tool for squad painting and vehicle painting.
>>
>>98426433

they can be overdone
they are not necessary
>>
>>98426363
this is pretty good
>>
>>98426433
If you live in an area with frequent weather that makes rattlecan priming risky they're a must. I basically only use mine for priming and even then I get a lot of use out of it.
>>
>>98426433
They spray paint. Cheap chink airbrushes have worse machining which translates to inconsistencies in when they start spraying, how smooth the trigger feels, and probably means older designs which are less convenient to clean, but even cheap ones are perfectly fine for priming, basecoating, varnishing and zenithals. If you're going with a cheap one stick to larger needle and nozzle sizes. Expensive airbrushes are just a nice to have unless you insist on airbrushing on the pupils on 28mm miniatures.
If you can, spray lacquers or enamels instead of acrylics wherever possible, they make your life so much easier.
>>
>>98423978
True, but also, Ork players kitbash their own grisly trophies, because Ork players are the biggest kitbashers.
I got a 90's Ork with a Newcromunda Goliath scalp on his belt made out of one of their hair-pieces.
>>
>>98426433
a lot of beginners buy them because they're in that manic buying shit phase to make them feel like they're serious hobbyists (not like the other girls). then when they end up only using it for priming they have to talk about how great and important airbrushes are online for years to feel better about wasting money.

getting a good one for specialist tasks is expensive. priming with one is a waste of time (harder to clean out) you're better off with rattlecans for speed and effort, cost difference is minimal even over years of cans.
>>
>>98426433
Do you love shitty looking OSL effects? You might enjoy owning an airbrush.
>>
>>98426433
It's a must have for army painting, but don't fall into the trap of thinking a cheap generic chinese airbrush is just as good as an expensive one (they're not at all, the machining quality and center of the nozzle matters)
>>
Why did WISYWIG die? I've been building all my armies on the strict principle of WISYWIG for immersion reasons
>>
>>98426488
Because GW wanted to change the rules and simplify them without changing what was in the plastic kits. So lots of units have a defined loadout they have rules for regardless of what they are modeled with.
>>
>>98426488
Rules change too often. The three year cycle killed that top level of fussiness for having your army match exactly to their loadout. When my dudes are done they're done.
>>
>>98426488
>Why did WISYWIG die?

By the end of 7th most folks who were playing were new players. The older RPG style of wargear only worked under the assumption that players would have a massive bits box to draw from. Then comes 8th edition with options no one ever checked, and so fell WYSIWYG

A bunch of stuff got consolidated together so like like pistols of all variations just became archeotech pistols, every combi weapon has the same stat profile, power weapons all use the same rules, or things like thunder hammers are no longer allowed to be taken on units as an upgrade and are just considered a generic power weapon.
>>
>>98426505

equipment became more abstract, kits and profiles became more restrictive, rules turnover got too fast and too swingy

Is there a limit of fielding 2 of the same unit in 1k games? I put 3 of the same unit into war organ and didn't get an error, its not a battleline unit either
>>
>>98426659
this looks like my buddies models they often have the model looking in the opposite direction of where they are firing
>>
>>98426669
Yeah, 1K games have rule of two with four battle line or transports instead.
>>
>>98426671
Now you know why: marines must always stare at the camera. It's part of the Codex Aurastartes
>>
>>98426659
I thought HH marines were supposed to be based and tradcath or whatever. This gun looks as retarded as any primaris toy. Even orks have better design sense than this

HH MARINES???

This is failure on two levels. The artist and the GW guy who commissions the art.

Israel's bestest goy.

It doesn't have the retarded primaris cylinder so its 50% not as retarded.

This shit is 100% AI that was slightly tweaked.
>>
>>98426674
I'll just have to combine a 2x5 purestrain squads into one, pretty easy fix
>>

It's ugly as fuck and retarded, the cylinder on primaris guns is less retarded than that unfunctional piece of shit.

They had 6 fingers on one of the mk4 marines and people refused to believe it was AI related. Even here people jumped on "artist mistake" (the mistake was the artist using the AI mode).

>>98426683
HH was always 40k.
>>
HH marines? What's next, SS marines?
>>
>>98426703
People refused to believe because it was the palm of the marine's hand that obese retards like you thought was a finger. But despite being wrong and you not having a single artistic bone in your body you double and triple downed.

I'm equally willing to believe that's an artist who can't figure out thumbs as I am to believe it's AI. Still shouldn't have passed QA either way regardless.

How's that a problem?

That is not a gun. The artist was just a retard who thought it looked like a gun. Like artist who drew melta guns as machine guns.

The Exodites are friends with Rangers and Corsairs.

I solve this issue by making the three in the box into the character models and then kitbashing some niggas from cold ones and elves.
>>
>>98426762
the old cold one riders are too small I think. and the AoS dinos look too mesoamerican coded. It would take a lot of work.

Also imo the eldar part of the this kit are absolutely fantastic. the small shield and capes are great. You could greenstuff and kitbash a lot of it but I think GW knocked the riders out of the park.

You know what might actually work? The hands are multipart for the dinos. I might be able to just get some cheap plastic dino toys and cut the hands off for some more raptor looking hands.

So Armageddon is the launch of 11th? Do I have that right? Will all 11th products now be subtitled Armageddon?

>Do the thousand sons do any recruitment at all to increase rubric marine numbers? Like aspirants who fail become rubric marines and those who succeed get to be psychic marines that command rubric marines?
IIRC when a rubric loses too much human dust it stops working, so they have to capture space marines and cast the rubric spell on them to make more
New sorcerers are typically recruited from their planet which is all psykers and actually a pretty nice place to be if you have any psychic potential (ignore the fact that tzeentch is going to screw you over nonstop for shits and giggles)

>IIRC when a rubric loses too much human dust it stops working, so they have to capture space marines and cast the rubric spell on them to make more
That doesn't sound right, or by now after 10000 years of attrition hairyman would have noone of his old pals to be tragic about and want to reverse the rubric for
>>
>>98426820
This is retarded because the rubric specifically affected the thousand sons geneseed.
>>
>>98426819
>For some reason
The reason is that khorne doesn't have magic, unlike the other 3 gods, so its gimmick instead of that was having more and better tech.
Of course that was forgotten fast and now that vashtorr is on the scene it cannot be picked up again.

Best case scenario is that all gods get their own sick ass engines and khorne gets a new gimmick to offset the lack of magic.
Antimagic, or negative magic, would be the simplest, but it also still looks like sorcery in some ways; AoS gave them prayers and divine manifestations, but on top of also looking like sorcery there's little reason why the other gods wouldn't also have similar manifestations and religious zealots performing rituals, in addition to having wizards.

I don't get your point, haryman is not sympathetic towards the geneline of the legion, he's sympathetic towards the actual people he actually knew and actually fucked over.

You can't expect me to believe he has any sort of reasonable antiheroic motivation if he's fighting to restore people he never knew and that have been dragged kicking and screaming into this curse by him and other sorcerers who are in need of new soldiers.
>>
Is anyone baking, I don't want to read anymore retard fluff arguments in this thread.
>>
>>98426842
No, I mean capturing random marines would be fodder for rubrics because they arent thousand sons. The rubrics came about because ahriman tried to magically stabilize his mutating legion and got monkeys paw'd into them being TOO stable: i.e. undying automatons.

Its not just a spell you cast on a guy to make him a robot, its specifically wrapped up as interacting with the tsons specific tzeentchian curse.

vashtorr can just be tech in general and daemons for admech but khorne gets sick ass blood robots.

I was the one that made the original capture post, IIRC one of Phil Kelly's books said that to justify there being more than a thousand rubrics. Might be something that splinter/successor chapters of thousand sons do to bolster their ranks since all of the cabals are scheming against one another.
