The chaos humies cut the Orcs down in droves but Grimtoof did as he always did: Play dead. He had hoped Snagrog had done better, if only so he could get the chajce to kill him later.

In a terrible show of savagery, Snagrog kicked the Warrior in the knee, staggering it, and with a great swing of his choppa, cut the Warrior in two from head to belly.The Warriors fell back and even with their chariot careening into them, Snagrog let out a laugh as he and his boyz slew them down to the last. This was the life! ---The game ended in a draw, the chaos chariots getting atuck with the boar boyz and the other only reaching the orc lines at the very end. It was among the most enjoyable games I have had. Snagrog even got a few new trophys!

But my goblin big boss shaman did a do or die charge, killed his general with wollopas, broke them, overran into his wizard, killed them, overran into his gunners, etc. Miraculously, Grimtoof's unit more or less tanked halberdiers and militia free company. Despite winning, he slaughtered a good few orcs and seemed to enjoy. The first chaos guy was about as experienced as me and we both enjoyed infantry blocks.

They're a nice threat piece and fun to pick off the likes of hammerers or stray knights but I'd be lying if I told you they rock socks. Reminder that Cathay designs, as recently as C7 releases in the past couple years, gave all the characters this really sweet Black Metal / Shang Tsung style eyeshadow which looked fantastic. Along with a more generally baroque appearance that matches the WHFB setting perfectly. I will never stop complaining about the step backwards they took in Cathays design on that note alone. The eyeshadow was so good! I guess the Iron Dragon in the vidya still has it but it should be on every nobleman honestly. Hard to paint, maybe? Cant think why else they'd cut such a cool little detail

I genuinely think it has more to do with a new faction being presented in a good light than Chinese pandering. Kislev will tell. But we can already see Kislev being cleaned up lore wise (a good shift imo that focuses more on the tribes and less on frozen ice bear witches). Tau were the same way on release, they were completely noblebright in a setting far more grimdark than TOW/Fantasy or even 40k today. It took time for them to flesh out Tau and add a darker edge to them.
