The somewhat less crappy art does not fix the other problems LOTR set had,
(1) chinese gandalf, african hobbits, etc.
(2) the card abilities do not fit the flavor of the lore. firstly, because the cards are too powerful, secondly because the power and toughness of the creatures never replicate how weak the characters actually should be.

WOTC somehow did the impossible: fuck up the most famous fantasy setting ever. It is very silly if you think about it. WOTC is a multinational which owns dnd but somehow cannot even translate a low magic setting into one of their systems.
Not only do they have terrible taste when it comes to art, they also do not understand their own game4's rules and history. Truly the slop of the century.

This draft is utter shit. I've had multiple games stall until one of us ran out of cards. One stall ended by me running out of time out of boredom. I've had a horrible draft, since I was hunting rares and mythics, and still won against dude playing blue dominant with the best Bildo on board on t2, and me failing to draw a removal. There's an equipment archetype with no equipments to draft. Tresure archetype with no way to generate treasures. Fabled story archetype is equally trash. There are 2 and 3 mana drops that can win on their own. Thranduil that's in his uncommon variant better than most rare/mythic creatures. And multiple cards that do nothing at all.
