What are the best guesses for what the Live Action Amazon show will be about? My buddy says Eisenhorn because they got Mike Flannagan but I think the Horus Heresy make more sense.
>>98493430space marines, if it actually ever gets made of coursepeople forget, at the end of the day GW calls the shots on what they want like with everything else, and space marines are always #1so it'll be about space marinesand it won't be horus heresy either, because that's not advertising 40k
>>98493430probably will want to soft launch it by making it cheap as possible without looking like shit, so having the first few episodes be about eisenhorn which will have mostly normal humans doing normal human things (with a cameo of space marines for a hype moment).
>>98493430It's something inquisition related 100%, it's the most interesting and easier thing to do.
Why don't Tech-Priests study xeno-tech? Isn't their purpose to collect knowledge in order to better understand the Machine God? Everything is from and part of Him, but xeno-tech shouldn't be studied. Then where does it come from? The Warp? Is the Warp not part of the Machine God? What other reason could they have to not study it other than "the Omnissiah said so".
So I get that the Imperium has a higher tech level than the Tau, but it just gets hoarded by the Admech, that makes sense, but then why are Forge Worlds such shitholes? Couldn't they be using that advanced tech to make less polluted more nicer infrastructure with less human slavery involved in the whole process? And don't say "Oh it's the ban on on AI" cause they can use servitors and servo skulls, you don't need super advanced AI to carry out pre-determined manufacturing steps
>>98493458xenos tech is a corrupted form of the machine god’s works and should be destroyed.
>>98493458Some of them do but there's a lot of naysayers and the cult is also very political so it always depends.>>98493465They're big bad factories dialed up to 11 for the war effort, but it depends anyhow.
>>98493465>Imperium has a higher tech level than the TauThey don't. Humanity once had higher tech, but that's all lost. The AdMech are the humans who have the best understanding of how that old shit works, but they don't understand it. What they do know, through ancient hymns and rotes, is how to maintain these relics. Throwing around the old stuff willy nilly is a surefire way to see it destroyed and its wonders lost from the galaxy forever.
>>98493481Yeah it just confuses me that your average forge world art makes it look like a scene out of mechanical hell when they could totally make it a pretty chill place to live with all that tech
>>98493458>Why don't Tech-Priests study xeno-tech?Cawl literally does this...
>>98493430The fag inquisitor for sure.
>New Knight sprue of all things leaked>Not supposed to come out until 2028This is worse than when the new Lady Malys leaked a year before the Dark Eldar codex dropped right? At what point do they say "Yeah let's push up the release for this, people already know".
>>98493490The chill places are indoors as far as I've read, but I guess if you wholeheartedly turn a planet over to industry with a bunch of eccentrics it's going to look wild.
In an alternate timeline we'd have the krork around in present day as a playable army of superelite xenos.
>>98493476How can it be a corruption if it exists? A permutation of a form just means that the form is more expensive than previously believed. Logically, it is a refusal to under the Machine God to not study xeno-tech.>>98493481Are Xenarites consider herereks by the main body of the cult?
>>98493458What do you think the Mechanics games are about, dipshit? Are the tech priests delving into necron tombs because they like the scenery?
>>98493497>new knight sprue leaked show?
>>98493503Yeah but oftentimes innovation is as well and some forge worlds like to innovate such as Ryza, it's a very complicated cult given that some forge worlds can vary radically tin doctrine, Stygies sure loves their xeno tech as the most obvious example.
Let Chaos Idols take this thread!
>>98493511
>>98493427Please look up the definition of "permanent"
>>98493465>Couldn't they be using that advanced tech to make less polluted more nicer infrastructure with less human slavery involved in the whole process?Waste of resources. They have lots of humans and have modified themselves to be tolerant of and otherwise unconcerned with flesh weakness like pollution, radiation sickness, heat stroke, etc. They don't care about human feelings at all, they're not going to prioritize quality of life improvements that necessarily lead to less mass production and spending more time on shit like health care. >but in rational progressive irl studies show better kept workers are happier and more efficient! 40k is not a rational place and giving people more nice things leads to suffering. That's the entire setting's deal.
>>98493487The imperium does have better tech than the Tau, but for the most part they do not distribute that tech widely at all. Only a rare few have access to the best. The Tau have lesser but still impressive tech, and distribute it widely across their entire society.

Finished building the ExoditesA little smaller than expected but they seem pretty goodThe few extra Exodite heads will probably do good for Rangers.
>>98493567probably most. I know this is out of left field, but its semi-related and I have to let this off my chest because its been living in my head rent free, but there was a dude a week ago who was bitching about how bad the rules are for modern 40K (true), but then someone did a “post models” post, and he had a meltie over it because he thought they were trying to distract from his bitching. that’s all well and good, but the thing that lives rent free in my mind was him saying something among the lines of>Why would I want to see your mediocre models? I and everyone else who plays has seen thousands of models. And the part that drives me crazy is that he didn’t realize most of the people who post models and like to see models are nogames, so /40kg/ is how nogames see models everyday, and then he’s also bitching about how bad games are but he has some weird superiority over playing those shittily designed games when he would legit be happier just posting models in /40kg/ and abandoning the game. I’d have written him off as a troll, but it was so subtle I can’t help but think it was serious. I’ve legit lost sleep over thinking about what the fuck his problem was. anyway, said my peace, and now I can be free.
>>98493465Simply put, the Admech doesn't give a single solitary shit about the billions who inhabit their planet, they're just raw resources to be harvested no different from iron ore and solar power. Humans are servitor meat or skitarii meat, or useful as forge labor, that's it.

>>98493733>>98493741You know what, fuck it, I can’t paint rn so I’ll shitpost about my dudes.Pictured, on the left with the blue tabard is Chaplain Chesha Maros of the 3rd company. Had half his skull and part of his brain replaced by an automated liturgical cogitator after an Ork flashgit managed a headshot that nearly killed him. On the right with the red tabard is Nubari Sangar, the chapter’s Master of Sanctity, his face is permanently twisted into a scowling grimace after he was stuck there by a Dark Eldar neural whip that caused permanent scarring and pain early in his career. He has lived with the disfigurement for almost two centuries now and his near monomaniacal hatred for the Eldar is a point of chapter pride.
>>98493865They make xenos to fight.
>>98493876But that assumes that the Imperium then becomes aware of those xenos in other galaxies, or that those xenos then invade the Imperium in the wake of its victory. If the Imperium never learns that there's more xenos outside of the galaxy, they'd have no reason to go out there, at least for a while before sending exploration fleets that'd run into said xenos.Either way you'd still have a transitionary period where planets start to wind down guard recruitment and enact a forced settlement policy onto reclaimed worlds that would need agricultural and construction equipment, and that's where demilitarized tanks come in.It can't just be shit forever for everyone even after the Imperium "wins," they would HAVE to give a little somewhere or else they'd just collapse instantly into warlordism like I said.

>>98493890I actually have 4 chaplains but one gets used as termi librarian mostly.Next up is chaplain Malkas Von Decharis. Malkas is a profound rarity among space marines. Originally trained as a chaplain, following the opening of the Great Rift, he awoke as a latent psyker. Rather than be executed or given wholly to the Librarius, he received limited training in the chapter’s recorded psychics dislikes while still serving as the 5tg company’s chaplain. While his powers remain weak, his ability to quite literally look into the minds of his brothers has made him an object of fear. He takes to battle in runically inscribed terminator armour, wielding a crozius modified to also serve as a force weapon and a custom Absolver bolt pistol. Then is Cikar Gar’Dos, “The Burning Angel.” His specialty suit of power armour was recovered after a joint action with a small Blood Angel force. Regrettably none of the blood angels survived, all but their chaplain, named Anton, succumbed to the black rage after successfully repelling a tyranid assault. Cikar helped said blood angel chaplain put down his blood maddened brothers. Anton himself was slain in the brief but terrible struggle but chose to pass on his artificer suit to Cikar as thanks for his aid and silence on the matter before expiring. Cikar has since modified it somewhat to match the rest of his chapter and reverently removed the blood angel icnography.

Chaos makes no sense. If there are an Infinite amount of galaxies in the universe then the outcome of whatever happens in our galaxy should be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, if the warp is the same across all existence. Like what does it matter for chaos if they lose, they have an infinite amount of chances elsewhere.
